Subs N Grub

Jersey Mikes and Charley’s has nothing on subs and grub! fresh homemade style food. Restaurant is nice and clean. The owner Donna, didn’t hesitate to make me a vegetarian sub, she will make you feel right at home. She’s the sweetest! She will make sure you have everything you need. If I could give them more stars I would. My bf and I will definitely be coming back :)

This is another great family owned deli. Despite its rather inconspicuous location there a so many regulars that she knows by name. The sandwiches are very well priced and tasty. I had the 2 most popular sandwiches, cheesesteak and pastrami. Pretty well made but would have been better toasted and not heated with a microwave here. I however had to take a star away just for hygiene, I noted the sandwich counter was messy and bread was handled with her bare hands, no gloves. Overall I will be back to try other items

I recently moved to Clovis a few months ago and Subs N Grubs was one of the first places I tried. From the first time I knew I would be back the sandwiches are awesome (coming from a big sandwich person). It has become one of my favorites here in Clovis. It is a little family owned place and they are some of the nicest people ever.

Delicious sandwiches! Sweet and friendly staff! If you go a few times, they will remember you by name and even what sandwich you like to order. Definitely a wonderful local business you can feel good about supporting.
Also crushed ice! YUM!

Great place to get some really good food at a great price. The owner is very nice and makes you feel like you are part of the family. She remebers your name and when you walk thru the door she is quick to say hello followed by your name. We will be going back seems how our shop is down the road just a few blocks. Steak sandwich is highly recommended.

This place is awwwwwesome! Food is fantastic and service is out of this world! I went there about noon and noticed that they stopped serving breakfast burritos at 11:00. However she offered to make me one anyway which was super cool! Burrito was Dee-​lish and not to mention on the cheap! She even offered to add avocado free of charge!!! Who does that anymore?!!
This seems to be a family run business with even one of the granddaughters helping out during the summer. I was so impressed with her customer service skills! Much better than most grown adults!
Later that night I came to the horrific conclusion that I had left my wallet at the restaurant! I was hopeful that the people that ran the place found it and kept it for me since they seemed like decent folk. They were closed already, but when I called the next day they had it for me. I had over $ 80 in there and not a single cent was missing. I know maybe you shouldn’t praise someone just for doing what is the logical and right thing to do, but several people would have had access to the wallet so I just want to say how grateful I am that my wallet fell into the hands of such good people!!!

Tried this place yesterday and was very pleased! I’m normally a piedmonte’s or Sam’s kind of girl for sandwiches but was on this side of town… ordered several sandwiches and they were all great! All cold subs, since they were for a picnic up at Huntington. My personal fave was the all meats combo with everything and provolone. Awesome bread, fresh veggies and I love that you can do any combo of meats and cheeses at no additional cost! The owner was so very nice and personable, not your average canned greetings and responses (if any at all) like chain sandwich joints. Will definitely try other menu items in the future!

«Sandiwched» (sorry, couldn’t resist) between a couple other businesses off the street, you’ll find a small and family-​friendly sandwich place, duking it out with a nearby Quiznos and countless other Subways in the surrounding area.
What makes this place special is supporting the small business, a pair of women who knew everybody who came into the place while we were ordering to go. The call they took also resulted in a «same as yesterday?» inquiry, a definite nod in their favor.
I asked them to surprise me (you go out all the time nothing really reaches out and grabs you sometimes), and they didn’t let me down, splitting the two halves of a larger sandwich with their two proclaimed best, the pastrami and steak-​cheese. I didn’t even know you could do this kind of thing. Awesome. Introduced a couple locals who didn’t even know about the place thanks to Unilocal’s beaming average.

Run of the muck sandwich shop. It’s nice for a quick bite. Decent priced and decent sizes. The steak isn’t to bad.

The hot pastrami and the tri-​tip sandwich (Tuesday’s only) were amazing!!! The meat is so soft it just melts in your mouth. By far, the best sandwich I have ever had! Don’t forget to try the chili beans while you’re there – home cooked with a little kick. Delish! We will be back very soon!

I love the food at Subs N Grub. I go here all the time I love the area and the people. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants something better than fast food but still needs to be in and out in a hurry.

The service is awesome and friendly. They will know you if you come by once a week. The only thing that is an eyesore is the saints … Ha ha.

I tried the pastrami sandwich and it was very good. I also tried a corn dog and while it is off the food service truck, it was perfectly cooked.
The restaurant was clean and the owner made sure to request that her employee wash hands before preparing the food, which is fine with me.
The only issue I have are the microwaves. I know they are quick and handy, but I would gladly wait another minute or two for my sandwich to get broiled in a small oven.
I have lived in the area for several years and kicking myself for eating at the lousy chain sandwich shop across the street instead of coming here sooner. I’ll be back…

My boyfriend works in Clovis so I met him for lunch here last week. I am a huge sandwich lover so this was right up my alley.
I made my own sandwich which is always my go to. Salami pepperoni turkey provolone and all the veggies. It was so delicious! The service was very mom and pop which is a nice change up from corporate service. The owner was there whippin up sandwiches and chatting with the customers. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I just tried them for the first time.
I ordered the pastrami at the recommendation of the person behind the counter. I’m glad I listened.
The pastrami was plentiful and tasty. Not too chewy, cut thin. The toppings didn’t get in the way at all. They are well thought out and in good proportion to the meat. The bread is soft.
Overall the ingredients were all in good proportion to each other. I was even offered a sample of the pastrami to make sure I wanted it. I was not disappointed.
I also had a small side of macaroni salad. It was good.
I’ll be back again.

Last time I ordered a sandwich here I not impressed however I will try it again one day,

Today was my second trip here. I was craving something good for lunch, and the first time around was fantastic.
First time there, I had the burger. Yes, I know, It’s a sammich shop. But my coworker had decided bring one back to eat at his desk. It looked so good, I just had to have one!
It did not disappoint. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, cheesy, awesomeness. They do not skimp on the toppings. It was my short lunch day, so I had to take my order to go.
This time around I decided to try something different. I got myself a hot pastrami with Swiss. I really am not that fond of pastrami, but my coworkers kept raving about it so I needed to try it. I LOVE IT! Twice as much meat as you would ever expect to get at a chain store. It was piled high with all the fixings. The cheese was nice and melty.
I also decided to eat in store today. Its not a huge shop but there was an open table. They have a newspaper to read while your there, and everyone is super nice. The owner seemed to know everybody (except me, but again, it was only my second time.)
This is my new go-​to for lunch!

Okay, okay, okay…
I know I was going on about the microwaves in my previous review, but I learned a nice little secret — get a cold cut sandwich! I’ve been ordering that the last few times I went in (I’m honestly averaging about three times a week), and as with their hot sandwiches, they PILE on the meat and toppings!
Besides that, the family and I are now on a first name basis, and they always make me feel at home. Little things like remembering what business I’m in, conversing about recipe ideas, asking (by name) how my kids are… That type of customer appreciation is rare, and I love these guys for it!
Basically, if you’re looking for a solid sandwich and love the «Mom & Pop» feel, do yourself a favor and head over there now. I just wish they’d get rid of the microwaves…

This place is my favorite. I love the owners and there kids. She knows my bfs and my order right when we walk in. And knows our names :) she always gives us great service along with everyone else. She knows everyone’s names and orders.
The food is GREAT! We love this place :) feels like home. :)
I love the break fast burritos & the chilli Philly cheese steak sandwich large on white bread! Everything they make they buy it from a grocery store & prepare it fresh! How good can it get! Nothing is frozen and defrosted. It’s always fresh!
