The food was fantastic, perfectly cooked and service exceptional ! Can’t say anything more ! First time here and will be back for our next cruise !

I would not recommend this place at all. First off, our food was lukewarm, the steak tips were inedible (they obviously use very cheap meat), the mashed potatoes they tried serving us tasted very strongly of vinegar (which I’ve learned from past experience elsewhere that if you eat it, you will get terrible food poisoning), and the «grilled shrimp» were not actually grilled. Steamed, maybe? Anyway, they get 2 stars because the house wine was good and it was bogo, so at least there’s that… I’m a huge fan of locally owned businesses, so I hate writing these bad reviews… But it was pretty terrible.

Went to Backwoods our first night at Cocoa beach, the food and service was so good we went back the next night too. Prices were good too. Great NY Strip, Great shrimp, and the endless salad was perfect.

Salad is boring iceberg lettuce, rolls were blah (probably frozen not fresh) and our rib eye was so full of rinds we couldn’t cut it. Server never cleared out dishes — expensive for lack of atmosphere and average service. She was very friendly!

Excellent wait service by Mike. 32 0z porterhouse steak w blue cheese toppings cooked and seasoned to perfection. The dinner rolls are fresh, warm and baked on site w a nice cinnamon flavored butter to compliment the meal. Great meal. Located Off the road behind a Sunrise bank So it’s easy to miss .glad we didn’t !

Would have been better if they were as concerned with the customers in the restaurant as they were with closing. The chicken friend steak was ok, but the mashed potatoes were cold. The waiter forgot our appetizer and couldn’t put the order on because they were closing the kitchen.

We all agree… it was a five star experience. Nothing was wrong with any of the courses: apps, salad, or entrees. The yeast rolls with cinnamon butter ate crazy delicious, too. Well worth the dining experience.

Our server was very nice, and the food was great except for the steak.
Our waitress offered to bring out a better one, and she did. It was a good one.
The first steak was full of grizzle and sinew so much so that the steak knife wouldn’t cut it.
This is not the first time, we are locals, and this place is inconsistent with quality, and though service was great this time, a year ago I swore we’d not return due to bad service.
I had a martini with olives before dinner, and let me say that I have never had olives served pitted, no pimiento, and no toothpick and this is the kicker… Their skin was tough like an apple peel. Couldn’t get any worse than that. I didn’t know you could get olives that bad!
The gin was Barnetts maybe, but rotgut and need I say I did not drink more that a sip, ate one olive but spit the skin out, and didn’t finish the martini.

Sehr nettes Steakhaus. Top Bedienung. Salat wird frisch am Tisch fertiggestellt. Leckeres Steak. Absolut zu empfehlen. Sehr preiswert. Als Gast vom Best Western bekommt man noch 10% Rabatt.

It’s been about a year since we were here, but I realized I hadn’t reviewed one of my favorite dinners of the past few years!
We came to this restaurant after a long day of meetings at KSC. There were 5 – 6 of us in the party and we were seated almost immediately. After looking at the menu I was amazed at the prices for what you received and assumed there was no way the steaks could be as good as I was used to. I ordered a combo meal of filet and ribs (what can I say, I was hungry) with two sides. I believe that was about $ 24.
The filet (medium rare) was cooked to perfection and all but melted in my mouth. The ribs were tasty and the sides (asparagus and sweet potatoes) were very tasty as well. I’m usually really picky about steaks and like very few of the ones I order that are decent prices. but this really was one of the better ones.
They also had some really great deals on wine which made out outing much more fun. The things you learn about coworkers as dinners like this can’t be beat!

Walked in about 7:15 and had to wait about 15 min for a table. We were greeted by our server Kristen. She was very friendly and attentive server throughout the meal.
She brought us our drinks and some yeast rolls. The rolls were good but not great. The cinnamon butter made up for it. It was delicious.
Salad came next. Bottomless with ranch. It was again. Good. Not great!
It was two of us, i ordered the Bourbon steak tips with mushrooms and onions and a baked potato. The tips were cooked medium but had no flavor. There was no hint of bourbon at all. I put some salt and pepper on it and it was better.
Other dish that was ordered was shrimp with asparagus. The shrimp was just shrimp. No seasoning. The asparagus was crispy and delicious. The cocktail sauce for the shrimp was the star. zesty
We did not get dessert.
This place needs to up the seasonings and it can be a yummy place to go.
The star of the evening was the server!

Nice restaurant to hang out, family style diner, steakhouse style but really nice. Loved the fried pickles and the fried tomatoes, bBQ-​Burger was great as well.
Not to pricey, considering the beach is that close.

My family came to this steakhouse because it is practically attached to the Best Western where we were staying. The hotel advertised that kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal, so it seemed to be a good deal for a family of 6. There was only about a 10 minute wait for a party of 6 at 7pm on a Friday evening.
The adult entrees came with endless salad with a house ranch dressing and warm, fresh buns. Our server was polite and attentive and brought a refill of buns without us having to ask, which is always nice. The buns were better than the salad, but the salad was still good. There only appeared to be 2 computers for all the servers to punch their orders in and to check out. It would probably speed things up if they had another computer so they wouldn’t have to stand in line to get to the computers.
I ordered a 6oz top sirloin, which is the cheapest steak on the menu. It was cooked as ordered and the seasoning was good. The steak was better than expected. My wife ordered the tilapia with mango salsa. We think they forgot the mango salsa. The fish wasn’t that good. My wife only ate half and didn’t want to take the leftovers with us. The kids were happy with their kid’s meals. I tasted a few of their fries and they were good.
Bathrooms were clean, but the air freshener was over-​powering. Kind of like an old lady with too much perfume. What is she trying to hide? Overall, a good experience. Although my wife’s fish wasn’t great, my steak was a nice surprise. 4 stars for good service, good steak, and family friendliness.

The food is pretty good. I try to eat more leaner plates so I had to modify one of their dishes. Even the salad came drenched in dressing, however out waitress was more than happy to bring out a new one w/​dressing on the side.
The environment is old country cowboy and is pretty casual, but clean.

You don’t usually think of steak as your pre-​marathon meal, but I’ve found it works for me so right at 5pm I followed the blue hairs in to get my dinner on as early as possible.
In Texas, we are definitely particular about our steakhouses and this fit the bill. I tried not to OD on the bread but I almost couldn’t keep my hands off it. My husband’s salad looked super amazing and my baked potato soup was rich and creamy and satisfying.
Our steaks came out perfectly cooked and my filet definitely tasted like a quality cut, no gristle or fat. My mashed potatoes were tasty. The service was prompt and our waiter was nice and kept us in food and drink for the duration.
Definitely somewhere I’d return for a meal. Thanks for fueling me 26.2 miles Backwoods!

Wir hatten 1x den Burger medium gegrillt mit leckerer BBQ-​Soße und das Steak&Ribs. Das Steak war super, saftig mit tollem Eigengeschmack. Hier braucht man weder Soße noch Gewürze. Die Ribs waren leider etwas wenig.
Hier kann man guten Gewissens einkehren.

Salad was prepared fresh at our table and the balsamic vinaigrette dressing was pretty good too.
Cheese fries came out quick and were crispy. The ranch dressing they brought out to dip them in gave the cheese fries a great taste.
My wife ordered an 8 oz «Backwoods steakhouse» and it was cooked exactly as it was ordered. My son devoured his 6 oz version of the same steak.
My daughter ordered the Grilled Mahi and it was good but it wasn’t as good as the Mahi we had in Hawaii.
Overall the food was good the service was pleasant and very responsive. We had a good time.

Came here due to being told this was the best steak in Cocoa beach. If it is then I would suggest not having steak at all!
Chili as an appetizer which was okay.
When the steaks came they were both undercooked and seasoned weird. Waiter didn’t bring steak knives for one of us and when we asked for a knife he stopped at two other tables before bringing it so I had to just sit there waiting. Then we ordered a meal to go and asked that he bring it when we leave but he brought it to our table right after bringing our dinner and dropped it on the table.
All in all I would not go here, over priced bad food with horrible service.

Had strip steak, was over cooked.
Dinner was only average.
Server did NOT say anything about not accepting Amex and nothing on menu.

Frankly, I’m stunned the the reviews of this place! We must have eaten here on an «off night».
Popped in here after a we checked in out hotel and saw a 10% discount for guests eating there.
First, the good. We ordered some Potato Skins and they came out lightning fast and were very good. Thick, crispy, lots of bacon and cheese just how we like them. The bread was good, very flavourful and cinnamon butter was good too. My daughter ordered chicken strips and they were some of the best I’ve ever tasted!
Next, the mediocre. The mashed potatoes were fair at best, they tasted like they mixed chunks of potato with instant potatoes. There was absolutely no seasoning on them what-​so-​ever. The salad was nothing special either. Basically a bagged salad with dressing.
The BAD. Ordered a Filet and it was SO over seasoned, it was like eating salt! I couldn’t even taste the meat. I tried to scrape off the seasoning, but was unsuccessful because there was so much. My wife ordered the Lobster and Filet Tips, the Tips tasted very old and there was no flavour or seasoning. The Lobster was awful as well, like tasteless rubber.
In all honesty, I think a ‘2’ rating, is generous here. We will not return!

Hemos cenado muy bien y a un precio razonable. La carne excepcional, servicio rápido y amable.
Recomendable.
