Mitchell’s Family Diner

I had a chicken biscuit with eggs and gravy on the side super big chicken was very chrispy. very good!!! husband had biscuits and gravy and sausage. Good breakfast well we back. Service was nice feels like an old family diner.

First time back in a long while-​and it’s fantastic! Neat, clean and classic little diner! Since the last time we were here the place seems to have a new life. Everything was clean, service is more than friendly and food was on point! Keep up the good work!

Great food but order burgers well done! I ordered burgers 2 times medium-​well and they where raw off the cow bone! They do have great food and will come back! Great customer service and staff!

I used to frequent this location when I went to the community college nearby, it was always a good experience with great food.
Today, it was average to subpar.
The sweet tea was still amazing, but the food seemed… hit and miss.
The pancakes were heavy and thick, the ‘over easy’ and ‘over medium’ eggs were both cooked exactly the same, fried. The biscuits and gravy was very bland, but not super salty (common issue with gravy) and the biscuits were soft and light. The sausage links were delicious, and one was even cooked perfectly (case intact), providing that ever-​sought-​after ‘burst’ of juice when bitten into. The home fries were well seasoned, but hard. The hash was cooked well. The bacon seemed… off somehow… We couldn’t put our finger on it.
The tables need refinished or replaced, as they are reaching a level of ‘sticky’ that can’t be cleaned.
Prices are excellent, and we had three meals and drinks for under $ 25.
Overall, we will be coming back (need to see if they still have those amazing homemade mashed taters), but I hope they address some of the things mentioned here.
Also, and this is just me personally, I felt like the booty shorts were a bit much. Bit of wedgies/​picking going on that I didn’t really care to see. lol

Food is back on track! Nice, thick pieces of fresh tasting fish that’s gently breaded. Collards are tasty, and servers have been so pleasant. Sunny cooks everything so well! Thanks for such good meals again! Keep it up, Erica! Don’t make a liar out of me! :-)

Food was ok, nothing great. Staff was extremely friendly and the place had a great vibe.

The diner looks the way you want it to. Worn down and comfortable with a bit of grime to it. What it didn’t have was nearly enough staff working. I waited over 15 minutes before they took my my drink order. Another 10 went by before that drink made it to my table. At 25 minutes to get me my first drink, it didn’t matter how good the mushroom and swiss burger was.

Stopped here for lunch today and had the most incredibly delicious fried
haddock. Can’t say enough about how good it was. Moved down here 4 months
ago and always searching for good seafood. You would think it would be
everywhere, but that is NOT the case. All of the high priced tourist traps for
seafood have nothing on the quality of the product at this place. Don’t judge a
book by it’s cover. This place has got it down! We will definitely be going back
for fried fish and more!
