I came for the happy hour before my movie. I sat at the bar with two friends and they have 2 for 1 appetizers, well drinks, beer and wine from 3−7pm. I got a drink and took advantage of the specials and ordered the wings and spinach & artichoke dip. Everything was good especially the dip which was delicious. My only complain was the bartender she was extremely slow. Which sucked since I would had liked to have another drink but since it took her forever and I was on a timeline. I will be coming back and lets hope she was just having a bad day.

Best French onion soup I have ever had. The roasted garlic mashed potatoes are the most amazing thing I have ever tasted anywhere! Totally addicting. Steak was just okay. The cheesecake and chocolate cake were good. The onion mum was good.

My brother and mother and I came here after shopping at the nearby BJs. Honestly, we came here because there was nothing else around, other than McDonald’s, and we weren’t about to eat any of that. When we entered, the hostess told us that it would a twenty minute wait for a party of three, which was expected. However, as more people trickled in, she kept telling them the same thing, despite their party size. Party of 2? Twenty minutes. Party of 10? Twenty minutes. I can imagine being in a large party and hearing that my wait time would only be twenty minutes, especially on a Saturday night — how lucky! But looking around, it was obvious that the service here was sub-par, with at least three tables available to sit a party of four, yet nobody was being seated. At first, I tried to chalk this up to the fact that they might have been understaffed because it was Mother’s Day weekend or something like that, because everyone deserves some slack, right? After about *twenty minutes,* my family and I were finally seated in one of the empty booths that had been available for about *twenty minutes.* We waited around for another ten minutes before our water and giant bread came. We ordered an appetizer, which was severely overpriced for the portion, and our meal at the same time. Our appetizer came fifteen minutes after our water and we were well finished with our appetizer before our meal came. I definitely could have taken a nap and woken up refreshed during this time, and still wouldn’t have had my meal. I ordered the open faced turkey sandwich thing(???), which wasn’t bad, but the gravy was a weird colour for gravy. It was the colour of barbecue sauce even though it didn’t taste like barbecue sauce, which was a little alarming. After careful deliberation among each other, my family and I came to the consensus that it was burnt gravy. However, I don’t know how much gravy you have to burn to get it to the colour of barbecue sauce, but then again, I’m no gravy expert. Originally, while I tried to give the staff the benefit of the doubt in regards to their shitty service, over the course of my meal, I had changed my mind. Just looking around, it was obvious to see that most of the staff acted like they didn’t want to be there, and lazed around the bar, watching a game on one of the tvs, joking around with each other about how they have to «be right back and take this order.» Like, I get it. Nobody wants to be working on a Saturday evening, but at least have some decency while doing your job. I definitely would not come back here if I can help it. Next time, I’ll just settle for a cold sandwich from Target.

Overpriced, $ 28 for a seafood pasta«special», definitely not worth it. Don’t get fooled, they don’t disclose the price explicitly for a reason. A few tiny pieces of calamari, a small hand sized block of salmon chopped up, and 4 piece of shrimp with a mediocre sauce with boxed retail pasta,(they also don’t disclose what kinda pasta) which all took over an hour to prepare, after the appetizers. Seriously? and our waiter, was so in a rush that he started taking our appetizers and dishes away before we even finished our dishes. Service sucked, it felt like we couldn’t get anyone’s attention when we needed someone, and when we did, they told us they weren’t our waiter and to ask our waiter instead.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are 2 for 1 appetizers! They are each very good sized appetizers so 2 is good enough for a meal!

Ok so on Sat 3-29-2014 my wife and i went to Boulder creek. I ordered a NY strip stake. I was expecting a piece of meat that was the usual ny strip(grilled 5 inch by 2 ½ or 3 inch and about an 1 ½ inch think) stake. What i got was a flat peace of fatty meat that looked boiled. On its best day in a crappy diner it would have passed for a rib eye w/o a bone. So i told the waiter that what he brought to the table was not a NY Strip. The waiter told me, that the chef told him it was a NY strip stake. After a few back and fowarths, the waiter took the stake to the back and walked away. I saw he passed me by a few time and i thought he went to tell the«chef» to make me a ny strip. I asked the waiter what was the status and he said he took the stake off the bill. This brings me to the conclusion that if i didn’t ask the waiter about my food he would have just watch me starve while my wife ate. I think the waiter should have asked me if i wanted to order something else after he took my food away. After about 10 min he came back and i asked him about other stakes and i ordered the skirt stake. (I think the above was poor service on the waiters part) So, in this instance the«Chef»(and i use the term chef, sarcastically) in the place is either a dope, that has never seen a ny strip or he thinks the customers that eat at the restaurant are dopes. I will never order another over priced stake in this place. OHAND I almost forgot… The pop-tart at the front door made us wait 15 min to seat us in an empty restaurant by the bar… lol. and I still left them a 15% tip but I wrote NOTIPFORTHECHEF.

Really, really overpriced. I couldn’t believe how expensive it was. $ 30 each for an entrée and one drink of iced tea. Seriously, WTF. The booths are shabby and the wooden paneling is horribly rough and ugly. It gets one star extra for the baby back ribs, they were cooked very well and fell off the bone. I’ve been to the one in Hicksville before and it was much better. Wouldn’t go again. Would not recommend.

Service sucked, and the food is bland, and the beer tasted watered down. Been here a few times when I travel, because it’s convenient to my hotel. I have given it three chances. Similar experience every damn time. This will be the last.

The service is very slow for a Sunday and a not so busy reataurant. We witnessed one table leave beacuae of the wait. Our server would also disappear for a long time not to be seen in sight. The décor of the reataurant is so so which could use improvement. The ripped & loose bench cushioning needs replacement and the cushions on the bench back rests need to be resecured as they have come loose on our table. Our apps came in at a decent time but took very long for our burgers and sandwiches to arrive. The wait was worth it though. The food was very good including the creamed spinach. Overall an ok restaurant until they clean up the loose ends and retrain the staff. I would come back to this restaurant but will definetly not be my first choice for future meal outings.

The food came out as ordered. Zero problems. The service was amazing. The bar tender on the Friday night I was in here was amazing very nice very polite and on top of her job I was highly impressed with her service and attention to detail I believe her name was Justine she is amazing. They usually have sports on the tv’s around the bar a great place to have a drink some good food and enjoy the game

I had steak with onion soup. It was OK. Décor is upscale, nice fireplace near the entrance. Food is average at best. My server was really friendly. I guess that helped. Three stars because I can definitely get by not missing the food of this place.

Maybe I’m the oddball, but I don’t go to Boulder Creek(or any other chain restaurant on this level, save for Longhorn) to get a steak. These types of entrees will almost all taste the same(a la everything on the Taco Bell menu — different name, same ingredients) but will probably cost you more than you think they should(unlike Taco Bell!). I go for the best value they’ve got: Happy Hour! From 3−7PM M-F, drinks are BOGO and appetizers are ½ price. You have to sit at the bar for that pricing, but if so many people are complaining about the state of BC’s booths, shifting over to the bar shouldn’t be too much to ask. General suggestions: Beer on tap: BOGO eligible is limited to Coors Light /Bud ilk, which is not my bag. But drinking on the cheap is, so I go with it. Of course you can also get mixed drinks and such — there’s a menu with what is eligible. Cheese fries: Get these. Seem to always be the favorite app in our group. Buffalo wings: decent, edible, but not my favorite. But if you’re in the mood, go ahead and get them. Chicken Quesadilla: I enjoy these. Only problem is they used to have a Steak Quesadilla on the menu that kicked this version’s *ss. But enough time has passed that I can forgive and forget… Loaded Nachos: Saw these on the menu for the first time yesterday and got excited. The result? Meh. Pass on these.(Speaking of Taco Bell — they have better nachos.) One last suggestion: go with people whose company you enjoy. That’s what really makes a place like Boulder Creek good — being able to laugh for a few hours after a long week, and never once have to actually talk about anything that happened at work.

This place is awful Hostess seemed upset to bring us to one of the many dirty booths. Ordered a round of beers, everyone’s beer smelled terrible & was undrinkable I exchanged it for a bottle of Sam Adams. The food finally came, we would have been better off going to the Burger King & ordering off the $ 1 menu or just eating out of the BK dumpster. If we didn’t get a shuttle here & get the meal paid for by our company we would have walked in a second… DONOTWASTEYOUR $$$

Food– 3 stars. Decent, nothing stood out. Did enjoy the porterhouse(nice rare, filet mignon a good cut) for 2 although flavor was lacking. Creamed spinach tasted cheesy & creamy. Sweet potato fries were nicely seasoned. Mussels special sauce… straight from a can. Service– 1 – 2. Nice servers but very forgetful or they just don’t care. Took forever to get the bill, our entrée, pay… SO and I sat there with an empty table at an empty restaurant about an hour longer than necessary… Cost– Not too crazy. Think outback pricing Selection– paltry. Single page menu like Dallas BBQ

WOW!!! What happened to Boulder Creek? This was my first dining experience here in a few years and I must say, this place has gone far downhill. Very disappointing… I ordered the 10 ounce filet with blue cheese crumble topping(which is an add-on), with choice of one side & salad. I asked for baked potato & caeser salad plus I asked to have the creamed spinach as an additional side. They had a price next to it so figured that was the price to add as an extra side. After my boyfriend and I finished giving our orders to the waiter he informed us that you are only allowed one side with the meal and anything additional would be $ 5.00 extra. Really!!! Nowhere on the(limited) menu did it say that but we decided to take his word. He then started to say that was the case with the«add-ons» and I told him I don’t think that’s right since they are«add-ons» to add to the steak. He thanked me and agreed. UGH! We had 3 people working in our uncrowded section on Columbus day around 5 pm. The service between all 3 of them was not that impressive. No one asked if we would like to refill our water/drinks/coffee. At $ 2.99 a pop, I think they should constantly be refilling. Although the girl that delivered out drinks originally did ask upon delivery of our food if I would like another coffee. The waiter never did ask though. And I requested extra creamers which I never got. On the plus side the bread & salads were good. My steak ordered medium well was overcooked and the blue cheese topping was close to a salad dressing consistency. The steak was ok. I have had way better but it was decent even though more on the well done side. (Over) pricing for 2 meals, one soda, one coffee… $ 74.00! Big waste of money for mediocre food and service. And then there was the bathroom situation… What an awful and disgraceful mess! Let’s just say if you are in one stall flushing another stall will most likely feel the effects of your flush. And I will leave it at that! I will be writing a letter to corporate headquarters to let them know what I think! All I can say is that I wish I had read the reviews before deciding to dine here again. Outback it is for me from here on out for any future steak dinners!!! Boulder Creek… been there, done that, DONE!

I’ll tell you why you go here. Picture this: you are seeing a movie at the College Point theater and you have about an hour before the movie starts to get dinner. This is virtually the only reason I could justify eating here lol. The décor although looks somewhat upscale upon entering, quickly becomes dilapidated as you venture through the restaurant. You walk in to this beautiful wood fire place, and wooden bar area and then you get to your table that may or may not be falling apart. Alas, you are already here. The menu is pretty limited. They have appetizers, steak options, fish/seafood, salads, and entrees. I ordered the chili and the baked sweet potato. All in all not as bad as I expected. The chili was actually decent and the potato was cooked so that it was almost completely removed from the skin. Taste-wise everything was good. Everyone else seemed to give it the same fair rating as well, friend got a salad and my fiancé got wings. Overall, not terrible but not great. I definitely wouldnt go out of my way to go here.

Boulder Creek reminds me of somewhere in between of hinting as a diner and steakhouse/burger joint. There’s booth seating and most their plates fill up the plate like most diners, think ribs, burgers, salads, soup, steak, fries, etc… We had a friendly waitress who came by once or twice to refill our water. That being said, I can only assume that the steak would be average. So we all order some version of their burger. The burger comes with thick fries that aren’t bad, but average diner style. The burger was good, a little a bit above an average one but not as good as these specialty chains that we all rave about. I didn’t remember anything too special about the bun. The beef was moist enough but not that so, on the meaty side, decent in thickness. All the toppings were also on the thick side, which did aide the burger. I had the build your burger your way. I forgot all the toppings you can add in there but definitely bacon was one of them including your basics: lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, mushrooms and choices of cheese. But I think that’s pretty much all of them. And yeah, I got them all :] And no, it wasn’t that messy to handle. It wasn’t sloppy, a stable burger.

Ok let’s start with this. They seem to have decided to try to be a legit steak house and change to a limited menu. A much overpriced limited menu. They had a DJ in house and he played a great selection but considering that they are going for a legit Steak House it just didn’t fit. The place is under lit I could barely see my server who was a low talker and Meh as far as servers go. Let’s talk food. I ordered a Prime rib and mashed Potatoes. The Prime rib was perfect but to my disappointment the Mashed Potatoes were COLD. Not room Temp Not warm, COLD. I worked many years as a cook and Asst chef in restaurants and I would have NEVER accepted this leaving my line. It is actually one of the simplest things and for them to manage to screw that up sealed it for me but I’m not done. After the server brought back the potatoes it was clear that it was the same serving of potatoes heated in a microwave. They were dry and tasteless. Presentation was awful and everything was an overall disappointment. I was not offered any compensation for the error. Not even a drink. Now lastly I have to discuss the restroom. DISGUSTING. Yes I said DiSGUSTING. It was in horrible shape and just painted over like a subway station bathroom. This is a space in the public eye and its gross imagine what the Kitchen is like where we can’t see. How can you try to change your image and leave the restroom such a mess? I will NEVER return. Considering the price increase nothing else was improved. It only got worse.

Wow, there are so many bad reviews. Maybe I’ve missed something. I love their bread and butter. It’s just so damn soft. And that giant knife that’s used to cut it seems ridiculously perfect. This place reminds me so much of Outback that I sometimes get confused when I see«Boulder Blossom» on the menu instead of «Bloomin’ Onion.» The Boulder Sampler is probably enough for 2 people without even having any main courses. I always seem to be full already by the time my actual meal comes. But somehow I still have room for dessert. I’ve gotten the Grilled Chicken Primavera twice, thinking it would be healthy with such a healthy sounding name. But it was definitely too creamy to be healthy and too filling to finish.
