They really live up to the idea of great customer service! I had accidentally gotten the wrong bridesmaids dress and they were all about helping me and making me happy. Even though there were 30 – 50 people shopping in the store, every customer had a representative there to help them with anything they needed.

I have plenty of great things about the College Station David’s Bridal staff and customer service. Let me begin from the beginning. When I made an appointment for my very first dress fitting, I was not at all expecting to find ‘the dress’ that day. A salesperson named Abigail assisted me, I picked out one dress that looked terrible on me but everyone said would look great. Abigail picked out one dress, brought it in for me to try on and that was it. It was the dress I thought I would never find. The cut was just perfect for my figure. How many people can say they tired on two wedding dresses before finding ‘the one’? Not many. Abigail is an expert. I never once felt pressured to buy that day; she was not trying to sell me a dress I wasn’t 100% satisfied with. The dress even came in months earlier than projected, so I was an even happier camper. Fast forward to this past weekend. I had bridal portraits done and the dress got dirty on the bottom and it needed a few slight alterations. The store manager who’s name I can’t remember for the life of me, greeted me at the door and assisted me from there. She helped me to rule out whether or not I actually needed alterations by testing out which undergarments were making the situation worse. She phoned the north Austin store for me(I recently relocated to Austin) and made an apt. for me the very next day there — because I was in a panic over cleaning and alterations before my big day less than a month away. My only complaint is that yes, the store is smaller than others. I live in the Austin area now, and have been to the North Austin location for alterations(they rock, too by the way), and their selection is bigger, but there’s not much that can be done about that at a smaller store. My experiences with the staff were great, customer service at its best. My suggestion is to use David’s Bridal in College Station and ask for these ladies by name. They are life-savers!

Customer service here is really lacking. I’ve bought 3 bridesmaid dresses in the last 2 years there. The staff is unhelpful, unfriendly and the store is dirty. Alterations also messed up one of the dresses and blamed it on me. The quality isn’t great but at least some Houston locations have decent service.

Generally speaking, there’s something a little unappealing about buying a wedding dress from a big box store. But I caved to the immense selection and low prices of David’s Bridal. DB in College Station has a somewhat smaller selection than the Houston stores. For example, they don’t carry the White by Vera Wang line. Luckily, I was still able to find the perfect dress at this location. My mom and I received excellent customer service from a consultant named Kailey, who really seemed to know what she was doing. On top of being pleasant to work with, she was very knowledgeable about which dresses were in stock and would suit my tastes based on my description of the perfect dress. Watch out, because DB hooks you in with«rewards» for purchasing your dress there, like discounted bridesmaid dresses and discounts on tux rentals from Men’s Wearhouse. I’m sure I’ll cave to that, too, because who really needs to spend a fortune on outfits people will wear only once?
