I’ve been here various times; every single time, I receive great service, short wait time, delicious food, and still no lover. It is a bit on the pricier side than a lot of other sushi restaurants I’ve been to, but what can you expect from a Collierville location? There’s no wrong choice when you go here! I typically stick to basic things: fried rice and about a huge platter of various sushi. My typical ensemble follows: hurricane, spicy shrimp, volcano, and a random roll in between. If you’re in the area or are just hungry from all the shopping at Carriage Crossing, do yourself a favor and go here at least once!

Stix is definitely my(Kelsey) favorite restaurant to go to. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff is very friendly, and the hibachi is very entertaining. Keep in mind when you order that your plate will be filled with different types of food. Most of the time, you’re not going to finish half of it. That’s a good thing because Stix heated up in the microwave is still delicious! Note: This place can be costly, but that’s due to the amount of food you will be receiving. You can come dressed casual or formal. The staff won’t treat you any different from the rest. They’re very respectful and attentive to their customers.

The service. The service. The service. Needs lots of improvement. I try not to be one of those customers that just bash everything… But the waiter was not attentive at all. The food however was very tasty. We had the Alaska rolls with the Godzilla rolls. Both were fantastic! The prices are also really good in my opinion. The wasabi wasn’t fresh at all and wouldn’t miss in the soy sauce. Dishes sat and sat and sat on the table. We had to ask for refills and more cocktails because he never offered to do either of them. Another waiter helped ours out because he wasn’t too capable of managing three tables. The Bloody Mary was watery and had no tomato base. As a server myself I have some empathy for him but can’t imagine how the average patron would feel with the poor service here. Advice: Order Take-Out

This used to be our favorite hibachi place– large portions of great food and very good service. However, the last two times we have been we were not impressed. Service is slow and inattentive(actually ignoring us when we asked for another drink) and we absolutely did NOT receive the right amount of food for the money we paid. The family across from us(a couple and two young children) were given more than enough. There were three people in our party, and the father of the other family had more rice than all three of us put together! So what, because I’m a woman you think I can’t eat that much rice? Because lemme tell ya I would’ve finished it. No one at the table got as many vegetables as we have previously gotten. The food is still great, but each meal should come with the same amount of rice, and for the price we expected much more.

This place was great. The atmosphere was really nice and the guy at the hibachi put on a great show!!! They did a birthday song while the birthday person does a little dance. I would definitely come back again. The food was delicious and the egg drop soup is so filling!!!

Normally this Stix is a five star review, but the day I went there was smoke billowing from the kitchen and they could not make the alarm be quiet. It kind of ruined my dining experience. The food is always A+ though and the service is pretty good, too. The atmosphere is very dark, much like a night club which is actually kind of cool. It’s very modern and it has a full bar that you can sit at and enjoy the cocktails!

Good customer service and good sushi. If you are in the area it is worth checking them out. No complaints :)

Micheal took great care of our party of seven. He made outstanding recommendations on the rolls and appetizers to get based on my input of what I liked. The sushi was excellent. Very fresh and clean taste on every bite. Recommend stopping in if you are ever in the area.

Yum! Love the sushi. Attentive waiters. It’s a little dark. The hibachi chefs are entering. Not too busy at lunch on a Saturday. Great location.

Let me preface this with a small fact: I cannot eat at Hibachi restaurants because of an allergy I have. These places make it impossible for me to breathe! Anyway, Stix is a hibachi restaurant with a second, adjacent, sushi bar. We sat in the sushi area, which isn’t really«separate» since it’s just 5 feet from the hibachi, so I did not have the most pleasant meal, gasping for air. Some of these are ventilated well, so I can manage, but this one is not. As for the food: I ordered the pad thai, which is probably the second best I have ever had. My husband ordered various sushi, which was not good. I would go back, but only to order the pad thai for takeout!

I first tried this place a couple of years ago and it stills meet my expectations every single time. I usually get the same thing, but change it up every now and then. The crab wontons are some of the best I’ve had and I use the sauce(sweet sauce) that it comes with it for my entire meal. The sushi is always fresh and well prepared. tornado roll is my favorite. Also don’t forget to try the plum wine.

First off, let me just say… This dining experience happened when stix was dead… Maybe 3 tables… I ordered filet mignon and lobster tail … The steak I ordered medium… They butchered it!!! It came out like an old boot… Super well done and the lobster was burnt!!! Past tough and white … My knife and I really had to work… Awful… awful service… My waitress a rude African American female came one time … To throw the burnt crap down and walk away… No how was it … No hey, need a refill… Nothing … Awful awful awful … I wish I could give 0 stars!

I visited here Saturday as part of my birthday celebrations. The food was great and plentiful, I had the NY Strip, shrimp and chicken hibachi. My favorite is the salad, I love their ginger dressing. Now aside from the food I don’t like the fact that I got grouped at a table with two couples with three crying toddlers. Note-little children do not like flames; it scares them. So that pretty much set the tone of my evening. I had the pineapple martini which was ok. I should have requested top shelf because I had a headache before I could even leave the parking lot. I suppose it is better if you go with a group vs. alone so you can have a say in your company. I will say the food is good but at the price point and distance from Memphis you can get comparable taste, quality and ambiance at places in-town. No need to make a special trip unless it’s on your bucket list.

Yum! Where do I start? The spring rolls were literally the best I’ve ever had; light and crunchy on the outside and delish inside. The dip for the rolls was also delish. Then we ordered the filet and rice. Cook did a great job in keeping my filet med rare and the others’ medium. It melted in my mouth. The rice has a delish garlic taste. It was soft yet a tiny crisp(which I’ve never had cooked that way)! Our friends that live in this area high recommended this place. SO glad we went!!!

I guess I expected a little more from this Asian eatery because of its mall location, but it is on par with countless others in this area. I ordered a veggie sushi roll and the spouse got hot and sour soup with crawfish dip and crab wontons to start. The dip was great with crispy fried dough and he seemed to like the wontons as well. The hot and sour soup was huge and enough for a meal alone. There was quite a bit of chicken in it. The veggie roll was standard. Decent service and an ok atmosphere although I’m sure it gets noisy once the hibachi tables get rolling.

I don’t go to Collierville often… in addition to being really far away from my house, it is too clean, pretty, Mayberry… almost sterile. I like grit and character and immoral things… you know, dirty. But not in the unhygienic way. This is how I feel about Stix, which is appropriate, because it is in Collierville. It is clean, pretty, Mayberry both in atmosphere and sushi… but like I said, I want a little pizzaz. So yes, Stix is a totally safe bet. And if you want to go there on a date or with your family, you’re in luck. But I’m just not at that point in my life. At a sushi joint, I’m looking for ambience that either oozes sophistication or makes me feel like that fresh fish just jumped out of the water onto my plate all while the wind blows in my hair. Yeah, I’m feeling sassy today.

I was out celebrating for my friends birthday and they decided Stix was the choice. This was a nice change from the other Hibachi restaurants I have tried. We arrived around 4:15 and was able to get a table promptly. Great wait staff and no complaints about the attention to detail. I ordered the steak/chicken combo. Everything was nicely seasoned. The chef of course cooked the food along with the acrobatics with the utensils. I liked the food…/i will be coming back.

This place is great! It’s a bit expensive, but it is also Collierville so it’s not a huge surprise. But in my opinion, it’s worth it. The food on the regular menu as well as the hibachi menu are great. I really recommend either the hibachi scallops and/or the chicken teriyaki. Both are fantastic. Their spring rolls are great, too. Very fresh and delicious. Next on my list of things to try is the beef tataki. I’m a sucker for beef so raw, it can still be saved by a trained veterinarian. As far as seating goes, they have regular seating as well as sitting around a hibachi. I’ve never sat in the hibachi section as I’m not a fan of the theatrics, but if that’s your thing, go for it. There’s plenty of seating on both sides of the restaurant. The service is great too. I’ve been going here since they opened and have never had any issues here, whether it’s with the service or the food.

BESTGINGERSALADEVER! This is still my favorite place for hibachi as I feel you get the most out of your buck. I’ve had a time or two where it wasn’t as good as usual but overall it is almost always a great experience coming here. I like to get hibachi chicken and mix the chicken up with their chile sauce. I also add sweet and sour sauce to my fried rice. I will say their ginger salad and is the best I’ve ever had. Their wontons are equally delectable(and on the Happy Hour menu!). This is the only place where I still like the clear soup. Surprisingly I dislike their Miso soup. I did not like the pan fried dumplings and cannot remember if I like the other type they have or not(guess I’ll have to try it!) The Hibachi Diablo Shrimp tasted better with chile sauce and surprisingly tasted better the next day. They have a happy hour(4:30−6:30) in which you can get certain appetizers and the mini sushi rolls for cheaper. We have definitely gotten more stuff because of that. It was great! Their sushi is super expensive so I don’t try it very often. I wish they had half rolls because then I could try more. At the hibachi you can also choose to opt out of your soup and salad and get more rice in your meal(though I was starving by the time my food came) or you can opt out of salad for two soups or out of soup for a double salad. Hubby even tried opting out of veggies for more rice but somehow ended up with both anything. To Try: — Ahi Stuffed Avocado — Dynamite Shrimp Bao — Crispy Chicken Bao — Red Dragon Burrito — Asian Coconut Curry — Spicy Crawfish Dip — Dynamite — Egg Drop Soup — Seaweed Salad — Jalapeño Yellowtail Sashimi — Dynamite Roll — Great Alaskan Roll — Salmon Tempura Roll — Shrimp Tempura Roll — Spider Roll — Volcano Roll — YaYa Roll Loved: — Clear Soup — Crunchy Roll(Shrimp) — Double Shrimp Roll — Ginger Salad — Godzilla Roll — Hibachi Chicken — Mango Roll(best w/ginger) — Red Dragon Rol — Rock & Roll(sushi) — Tiger Crunch Roll — Wontons Liked: — California Roll — Fried Rice — Hibachi Diablo Shrimp(with alterations) — Pad Thai Chicken — Spicy Shrimp Roll — Spicy Tuna Roll — Watermelon Martini Ehhh: — Miso Soup — Octopus Roll — Pan fried dumplings(maybe I’ll stick to deep fried) — Salmon Roll — Spicy Crawfish — Spicy Salmon Roll — Steak hibachi — Teriyaki Chicken(hibachi) — Teriyaki Salmon(hibachi) — Yellowtail Roll
