I decided to come here for lunch. I was seated quickly. The waitress bought chips, salsa and bean dip to the table. They have a very extensive menu. They also have a lunch menu. I decided to try the enchiladas suizas which are two chicken enchiladas wrapped in corn tortillas with tomatillo sauce, rice and beans. The salsa and bean dip was pretty good. My entrée came out and it looked pretty good. Not only did the enchiladas have tomatillo sauce on them but sliced avocado and sour cream as well. I tried the rice first and to my disappointment it was dry. The enchiladas were ok. The chicken didn’t have much seasoning and were dry as well. Then I tried the refried beans and they had a burned taste to them. The bean dip didn’t have burned taste at all. I was pretty bummed out because I was excited about coming here. I may give them another try because I think they succumbed to the lunch rush.

We were in Colorado Springs on Holiday and came across Carlos Miguels on Saturday, what a Great place. Very nice decore, family owned attomosphere and Great Food. We were so impressed we went back Sunday for lunch(before leaving the area). Same great food and service. Best Mexican restaurant that we’ve been too in years and most of all in Colorado. If you visit the Springs you must eat at this restraint no question about it. Do it and you will be back for sure. OBTW the cheap-O(Virginia) that wrote the review on 12÷16… She is the joke!

Amazing food & service! We were visiting from Florida and knew nothing about the establishment. It was Valentines day and the manager Everardo went out of his way to make it special. The food was so delicious we took our family back the next day. Everardo remembered us and immediately came over to meet our family. Everything was 5 star from the ambiance to the food and margaritas. I recommend the Tacos De Pascado or the Fajita Steak Salad with their house dressing. Everyone’s meals did not disappoint. The prices are affordable too.

Nice atmosphere. Way overpriced though. Service is fair. Staff is friendly however. Food is ok but below expectations. Better to go elsewhere if you are craving good Mexican food.

The FANCIEST Mexican restaurant I have ever seen. LOL Nice white table cloths, rod iron light fixtures, beautiful artifacts on the walls, traditional curtains, very well appointed place. The owner was SUPERFRIENDLY. We came in for a Saturday lunch and he greeted us with a huge smile and proceeded to some small talk to boot. The waitress that served us was also very personable. Overall you can really get the sense that this is a family owned business and that they care a great deal about customers. The food was good as well and I would definitely come back if I am in this area.

How embarrassing!!! This place was a joke. Went for a hail and farewell, so there was a big group of us. The restaurant tried to charge $ 20 per person, for one entrée. My spouse and I added our bill up according to their menu and our bill should have been $ 29.07(including the 7.4% tax) and they were trying to charge us $ 40 before tax and tip. One girl paid the $ 20PLUS $ 7 for a fried ice cream(which in the menu is only $ 5) and they never brought it! She inquired, and was told the kitchen was closed(at 8:35pm have you) After she already paid for it!!! Will never come back due to the made up prices for our group, and the terrible discrepancy. I’m appalled.

I was not impressed. The guacamole tasted off and when brought up to management they said the cook put in too much lemon juice. Would rather go to señor manuels.

We have eaten here several times and it has gotten progressively worse. The food quality is now poor and not worth the price. The street tacos were terrible. It was the worst steak I’ve ever had a restaurant PERIOD! I flat out did not eat it.

Don’t eat here. My friend ordered ½ price ap, they delivered and charged her for full fare entrée. I tried to order a ½ price gluten-free ap, but was told that it’s not really gluten-free. Why did the menu say that it is? When I asked to sub a corn tortilla shell for the crispy taco, the manager explained that it’s premade! How do you premake a crispy taco? It’s not worth it. Seriously, go anywhere else.

The food was pretty terrible. Fajitas were the worst I’ve ever had. Steak/beef was chewy, tough, and lined with gristle. Soup and salsa were offensively salty. And our dinner was NOTCHEAP. Super over priced for the quality you get. Service was great and ambiance was nice but certainly can’t make up for terrible food. Don’t waste your time or money.

Service was slow and when they pour your water it has white stuff floating at the bottom. Food is ok just overpriced.

Food was pretty good, but margaritas were disappointing. We got the house margaritas and could only really taste the sugary margarita mix. Definitely not worth $ 7.50. Generous portions, and lots of options for entrees/sides available.

This place is very clean and decorated with clothed tables. Good food and service. I’ve only been here once, so not much to elaborate on. I had asada tacos which were bigger than average taco truck size. Tasty, and good chips and salsa.

The food was good, but had a bad first impression thanks to the assistant manager. What a jerkoff! I told the bartender this and she said, «tell me about it, I’ve been married to him for 5 years!» whoops!

This food is freaking DISGUSTING! HORRIBLE! I didn’t finish my flautas and the manager got angry and literally came out to scold me… REALLY, Dude?

The bean dip and hot chips were amazing. The entrees were well-proportioned, and the food was hot and pretty tasty. Go for the tableside guacamole. My only caveat is that this place is pricey for Mexican food. For the money, I would rather head to Amanda’s Fonda or even La Casita.

One of the better mexican resturants me and my wife have been too in the Springs. She had the shredded beef chimichanga. The beef had great flavor and it was very crispy. I had Carlos Miguel house specialty«pollo barracho» chicken wrapped around Pablano peppers topped with a creamy habanero sauce and it was amazing! Tasted really fresh and homemade. The beans were good but the rice seemed undercooked but good flavor. Margaritas and mojitos top notch! Chips and salsa seem homemade. Food came out fast and hot. Friendly staff had us laughing as soon as we sat down! Also a very clean looking establishment.

We ate here over a year ago. My wife and I always wondered why we did not go back. Last night we went back and now we know the reason. I had the cancun burrito which has different types of seafood inside. It’s 1130 the next day and I still feel kind of sick/gross. My wife had fajitas and she really did not like them. Service was OK at the best. Overall, not a very good experience which we will not repeat again.

You’re in Colorado Springs and not Colorado de Manantiales … Mexican food here can often be Mexican’t, so, finding a place that serves hearty Mexican-style food with a dash of Americana and huge Margaritas is the way to go. So … Andele! Go to Carlos Miguels. Our large group of 12 had no problem just dropping in and getting seated. The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall which made parking easy, too. Service was fantastic and also had no problem splitting the bill many ways. A gigante Cadillac Margarita got me started while the rest of the group attacked Guacamole($ 9.75), Chile Con Queso($ 9.25), and complimentary Chips and Salsa. None were really unique, but what you’d expect(3 stars) For an entrée, I chose one of Carlos Miguel’s signature dishes: Pollo Borracho($ 13.95). It’s a large Chicken Breast stuffed with Poblano Chiles, Mushrooms, Bell Peppers, and Cotija Cheese with a creamy Habanero Sauce. It was cool because it was something different. I asked them to up the spice level and they did.(4 stars) Others sitting near me seemed to enjoy their dishes like Chiles Poblanos($ 11.95), Ceviche De Camaron($ 9.95), Pollo a La Mexicana($ 12.95), a Chimichanga Ranchera($ 12.25) and a Taco & Enchilada Combo. The best seemed to be the ceviche that wasn’t soupy like some places, but I’m not sure about ceviche in Colorado … So, don’t come expecting Guadalajara’s finest cuisine. Come hoping for a safe and reliable Mexican-style meal for the whole family from a restaurant chain. That’s what our group found at Carlos Miguels … And we all left happy … as we headed back out to see what Colorado Springs had in store for us next.

I was looking forward to the Arroz con Pollo from Carlos Miguels, but it was disappointing. I wouldn’t get this again. It was more like an Arroz con Pollo stir fry. The rice had a weird texture — different than other ACP that I’ve had. There was also some other kind of spice that hasn’t been in other ACP’s. The chips and Sopapilla’s were good.
