I ordered water for my meal and the glasses are very small, but they do set a pitcher of water on the table which was nice. The complimentary bread is good, but they only have plain olive oil to dip it in and the quality of it is poor. Would be nice if they would offer some spices to pour it over. I got the field greens salad and it was very good. For the entrée I ordered the chicken fettuccine. The chicken was very dry(barely edible) and alfredo sauce was thin/runny with barely any flavor, despite the huge chucks of garlic it had.

We moved here just a few days ago from Virginia Beach. After spending 2 days on the road driving we wanted a nice meal. This place definitely hit the spot! My husband found it on Unilocal. I was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance & service. The found is amazing! They even offered to make my 6 y/o a no sauce dish. We will definitely be dining here again!

Just an average chain with a nice atmosphere. The waiter did a very nice job. I had the Tutto Mare but the seafood did not taste fresh. If you are looking for something to satisfy everyone in the family this is probably a good place. But if you are looking for a fine dining experience I would keep looking.

My wife and I had pasta dishes that we both liked. Salads were extra but, they were a good portion. They serve complementary bread that came fresh out of the oven with olive oil with balsamic vinegar for dipping.

Babbos was exceptional. We came to this restaurant based on Unilocal reviews. We had heard that this was the best Italian restaurant in Columbia. Being from buffalo, ny this was a grand statement that we felt we needed to verify. After waiting for approximately 20 minutes for a server(busy Saturday night) we were pleasantly greeted by Ellen, singlehandedly one of the best servers each of us had ever had, we proceeded into one of our greatest dining experiences. Ellen was accommodating, sweet, and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine(montepulciano) and some pizzas and were transported into a stellar Italian experience we hadn’t seen since Siena. All in all, both of us would highly recommend this restaurant for outstanding Italian food in Columbia as well as rate the service a 5 star(on Ellen alone) when it comes to that category. A MUSTVISIT, in Columbia Missouri.

The management is terrible, food is decent but nothing special. They let their food sit out and their tuutomare crab is out of a can. If you don’t mind drugs in your restaurant then eating there is fine but I don’t recommend this place to anybody. Kelly, the manager is nice to your face but always bashes customers and rude to her employees. I wouldn’t spend your money here.

We came here for Italian that was not Olive Garden. We were able to get a seat right away on an evening after a early Mizzou football game. The noise level was good at first but as the evening progressed and the place filled up it started getting pretty noisy. The beer selection was limited but the wine list had a good variety. The food was great and so was the service. My wife had a chicken cannelloni in cream sauce and I had a salmon over risotto. They have 1 tv so you could catch a score of a game but you still can have a conversation. I did not see a kids menu and with the possible volume levels I would not recommend bringing small children. Overall it was a good dining experience. The food and service were great, and we didn’t feel rushed. I will definitely be returning soon.

Second trip here visiting Mizzou. First visit was 41⁄2 stars. This time waiter was either new or not very good. Took drink order, brought the wine, then disappeared for 30 minutes. Went to the hostess and asked for a manager and a different server. Kelly, also the manager, came over and apologized and took care of us. If she had at first, I’d have rated 5 stars. Food is excellent. Kelly took orders for 6 people and wrote nothing down!!! All orders were correct too! Mad skills!!! She comped us two salads since the apple salad was gone. House salads were very good. She also discounted all our meals and added some free dessert, as if we needed it!!! Very full. Because of Kelly, we will be back next visit to Columbia!!! Oh and also I left my credit card there and she had it in back for me the next morning. Trustworthy and a very good manager/server! Thank you Kelly!

Two nights in a row they told us they couldnt sit us because they hadn’t had anyone seated before us within 15 minutes. I never heard of this in my life. When we did finally get to eat here the service was good the food was decent but they really need to pull it together. The pasta with mushrooms was soooo salty we couldn’t eat it. Doesn’t the cook taste the food before serving it? Eggplant app is great. Prices are great. The ambiance is great. Nice wine selection and concept. They just need to make some corrections and be a little more mindful. Take a look at the big picture from the eyes of the consumer.

By far a favorite place in our house! I have never been disappointed coming here. I must say what we do love most is how informative the staff is. Granted I’m not an Italian food connoisseur I often have questions on what something is and the staff is always happy to explain. Do yourself a favor and try this place out!

1st time visitor last night, and it lived up to the positive hype for the most part. Our server was FANTASTIC. Checked in frequently, but not too much. Was very helpful providing suggestions for the vegetarian in our group and personalized wine recommendations. Some reviewers complain about the open dining room, but I never felt like I could hear others’ conversations or that we were in a cafeteria. My tutto mare was fine, although I expected to see some mussels in shells and other whole seafood besides shrimp, and any seafood besides shrimp in the dish seemed to be chopped up beyond identification. The shrimp were tasty. Neither of the two dessert options rocked my socks — skip them and go get some Andy’s down the street. ;) The wine list is short, but we all(party of 3) managed to find something we liked. I don’t think I’ll be racing back here, because for the price the food is just good, not exceptional. This review would be 3 stars, except that the service was so good.

This is some of the best Italian food over I’ve ever had. It is well priced and super flavorful. The signage outside is misleading because it make it look cheap but the food speaks for itself. This perspective all coming from someone who has lived in Italy and has Italian grandparents. As true to the source as you can get.

Upon entering the establishment, the lighting was so excessively bright, that I felt I was sitting in a food court at the mall. There is no division of space between any tables, therefore I again felt like a food court rather than an intimate dinner for two. The wine list was fair at best, all wine options being unknown to my husband and me(we frequent the cherry street wine cellar and are repeatedly impressed by their wine selection). Waiters/waitresses dressed to unimpress in T-shirt and jeans. Ordered a bottle of wine that was served to us warmish, and then sat on our table without a cooler and remained unpoored by our server the entire visit. Entrees came out strangely fast and so scorching hot that we had to wait 5 minutes before we could even attempt to take a bite. Food presentation was awful and the«special» tasted like spaghetti O’s out of a can. Even Applebee’s does a better job. Do not waste your time or money here. There are MUCH better restaurants in Columbia to support!

Hidden gem in Columbia. We had one of the best servers which is an anomaly in this town. Prices are reasonable and the food is fresh and full of flavor. The meatballs are HUGE and delicious. My only complaint was that they would not split dishes in the kitchen and it is very hard and messy to share the bolognese.

Elegant without being stuff. Table bread was soft and chewy. Food was fresh, delicious, and significantly cheeper than olive garden. I would pick this place hands down over the o.g.

I loved this place. Very attentive service. And great food portions. I ordered the field greens salad and it was a delight! For my entrée I chose the spaghetti and meatballs and it was by far the best I’ve had! They have great ambient Italian music and candles to set the romantic mood if you’re on a date.
