Started out with the Smoked Chicken Wings these are a must. They were fabulous. Juicy and smokey and very yummy. My husband had smoked red pepper soup, said served hot and was excellent. For lunch I had the pastrami Reuben and hubby had smoked pulled pork. Both were very good with generous portions. Would totally recommend it to others. Only complaint was no refills on the iced tea. Service could have been a tad better. But forgivable. Will go back !

Had the grilled catfish, which was rather bland, but the sweet potato fries were great and the service was great. Very much a sports bar, but also a separate dining area for those not interested in seating in the bar. Big screen tv for watching the game everywhere you look!

This is a go-to when I can’t decide where to eat, either in or take out. The chicken tenders dinner is amazing, the best fried chicken tenders I’ve ever had, and such a big portion, I always take half home. I get it with sweet potato fried, which are amazing, and steamed broccoli, which is like a whole head just for one person. The broccoli is tender crisp, and not soggy! Lunch comes with complimentary cookies, The smoked wings get very high props, but they are a little too smoked for my taste. The tuna steak with feta and plum tomatoes is awesome as is the catfish. They used to have an emerald martini on the menu, not sure if it’s still there, but I used to love it. The tv’s are always playing all the games or something interesting.

I’ve been to D Rowe’s a half dozen times(and taken the food to go a half a dozen more). I always stuck to the fantastic smoked chicken wings, which I admit to craving on occasion and wholly regret deviating from today). Before moving on, I’ll give them props for a damn good baked potato. Why celebrate a baked potato? It happens that D Rowe’s serves ginormous ones that could be shared by a family of four and they are cooked perfectly. I appreciate simplicity and, though the size of the potato is a tad disturbing, if you have a family of four, it’s a win for you. On a bummer note, they really want you to order them loaded. I happen to only order sour cream, butter, and chives, and they insist on sending along a nauseating provel style cheese and«bacon» that best resembles those creepy baco bits that sit on grocery shelves until someone with enough self loathing purchases them. Why, D Rowe’s? The pets wouldn’t even eat the faux bacon and now I feel like a jerk for offering it to them. This leads me to the salmon. It may well be my favorite food if served properly. This one was not. I’d call it a marriage(suited for imminent divorce) of a saccharine sweet teriyaki and the overcooked sole of my shoe. At $ 15.95, I was pretty disgusted. The restaurant itself is an odd mix of middle aged singles and sports enthusiasts and good olé Midwestern families. Since you can take your food and go or have it delivered by Order Up, it works for whatever your mood, so that’s nice, I suppose. And the service is quite friendly. Still, I’ll shiver the next time I think of the salmon. Seriously D Rowe’s, just take it off the menu, keep perfecting the wings, and call it good.

I took my children here for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was half empty, but we still waited at our table for 5 – 10 minutes without being so much as acknowledged by the 4 servers that passed our table. They all watched us put on our coats to leave without having been served and said nothing. It’s a shame because I have been here before and really liked their wings, but I will never be returning again!

D Rowe’s is a great place to grab a beer, eat some good bbq and catch a game. The food has been consistently good any time we’ve gone, and the portion sizes are large for the money. Occasionally, they have all-you-can-eat rib specials, which means my husband is in heaven:) Our go-to order here is the BBQ Feast platter. You get a taste of everything with a few sides. Easy to split between two people, and each meat option on the platter is delicious. A few of our other favorites: the portobello fries are a solid appetizer(if you like mushrooms); the pulled pork is a safe bet; and the smoked wings are hard to beat. There is a restaurant side and bar side in the building. We usually sit on the bar side for better TV access. There is plenty of seating on either side.

We took our family of five for dinner at DRowes and we had the best time. Food was hot and delicious(a moms dream!). The kids were occupied by the kids menu and TVs. A perfect environment for kids to be entertained while the parents eat and catch up!

Very disappointed with the food during our last visit here. The burger was very dry, and while the Pork Tenderloin sandwich was decent — they don’t have sandwich pickles!!! How can you have a pork tenderloin on the menu — but not have pickles???

This review is for the wings only, the other stuff is great — but the wings are the best I’ve ever had. My wife and I stop here regularly, we can’t get enough of the smoked wings. Perfect to take to a BBQ, or to keep all to yourself.

One of a few places in town that I stopped in for my work trip. The menu is totally reasonably priced and I actually had a hard time narrowing down exactly what I wanted. Our server was brand new and training. I appreciated that a senior employee acknowledged that and stuck around to assist him. However, it almost became uncomfortable as he quizzed the newbie on the spot or second guessed everything he did, as in repeating the questions to us to make sure we were asked about fresh pepper, crackers(why you would need this with salad I don’t know), etc. I had the steak salad which was tasty, but had several pieces with inedible gristle, but that just may be my personal preference.

I gave this place 5 stars in my previous review, but the quality has noticeably taken a dive. After more than several bad experiences and one occasion of rude and condescending management, I’ve decided that I’ve had enough; what was once one of my favorite spots in Columbia is unfortunately now on my list of places to avoid. Too many recent visits have resulted in poor experiences, ranging from issues such as under-seasoned food, various fried foods on different occasions tasting like they were either left in the fryer far too long or it was dropped in oil that had not been replaced in a while, soggy fries, thick black hair in a salad, burnt nachos, and chewy steak. Furthermore, I had recently ordered a «grilled chicken sandwich» on behalf of a coworker and instead of clarifying with me what exactly I was ordering(the bacon chicken sandwich), I was given a plain chicken breast between two slices of bread… no toppings or anything else on the sandwich, just bread and chicken. There is only one grilled chicken sandwich listed on their menu and it is the bacon chicken sandwich. Myself, coworkers, and friends have ordered it before and referred to it as a «grilled» chicken sandwich and were either asked to clarify or were simply given the bacon chicken sandwich. Upon calling to complain about this error, one of the managers by the name of Eric said a gift card covering the amount paid would be provided to make up for it. I was more than satisfied with this and thought that would be the end of another unfortunate experience. However, he later decided to call me back for the sole purpose of being condescending, to essentially tell me that I was in the wrong, and that I should have been more specific about my order. Providing a gift card does NOT give a manager permission to be rude to a customer. I’m giving that gift card away and never going back. Again, it is unfortunate that it has gotten to this point as I used to love D Rowe’s, but consistently poor experiences and the distinct drop in quality and service needs to be called out for their own benefit.

The smoked wings here are perhaps the best I’ve ever had! Portion sizes are large for the prices. Service is always solid(a lost experience it seems these days). Happy hour specials are not too special, but because regular prices are pretty low, it works out just fine! I’m not a huge meat eater, so my go-tos are the cobb salad and buffalo chicken sandwich(both delicious). Beware of their andouille sausage, is has a serious kick(and I love it)! The regular dining area is family dominated. The average age of the bar crowd is probably around 40 and a laid back crew with regulars and singles. I’ve only been on the patio once — a cool day in May — and was swarmed by flies. I’ll avoid it next time. My only real complaint is that their BBQ is often dry(except the ribs, of course). Even the chicken I get on my salads comes dry. It often seems like they zap the meat on high(no water or attempts to keep the moisture in). Otherwise, I have no complaints!

Got a pulled pork sandwich and it was so good that I’m ordering another for dinner. I’m from NC and so far this is the best tasting pork that I’ve found in Missouri … Yum!

We use to love this place until we went inside and decided to order something other than their bbq. Normally we do take out here and get pulled pork sandwiches, wings and fries, well we thought it was time we explore the menu a little bit(very bad idea) I got the steak, green bean and sweet potato fries everything was completely flavorless and just not good, my husband got the catfish sandwich its was ok but not seasons well at all. Next time we will just stick to the bbq.

The Mushroom fries can be watery, so be careful when you bite in because they are hot! Make sure to order the Berry Tart alamode, cause it is decadent!

The perfect mix neighborhood bar and grill. All the food is superb here, and great smoked wings. Anything barbecue here is the best. Burgers and waffle fries perfect. Friendly staff and nice bar area, this place is off the chain and the owner will greet you every time you stop by.

The brisket was on point, and the price was very reasonable. The service was friendly and sincere, although the location is blah the food and TV screens made up for it. My date had a good time which made matters a lot better at the end of the night

The food is good but it doesn’t make up for the poor management! We have our office Christmas party there every year but this year(after booking in July) they called a month before the party and told us they double booked the room and we are SOL basically. Needless to say, we will not be returning for any events in the future.

I may have found the perfect wings. My son attends the University of Missouri and he turned me on to this gem in Tigerland. The smoked wings are as near to perfect as I have ever had. I don’t know what’s in the rub but it’s addictive. D Rowe’s is my go to place every time I go down to visit. I’m gonna hate to see my son graduate since this place is just around the corner from his digs.
