I purchased a groupon for Katie for partial highlights and a haircut. I called on a Thursday and was told by the receptionist Katie makes her own appointments and would call me back. Saturday came and no call back. I called Saturday and got the machine in the salon so I left another detailed message for The stylist. Again, no call back. I cancelled my groupon and thankfully got my money back as I was not going to risk losing the window to do so I. Waiting for a call I may never get. Calling another salon and very willing to pay full price of the place is worth it.

I have lived in Columbia for 4 years, but was recently attracted to Donn’s on Harden because I am a college student with a small budget and I frequently check Groupon for massage deals. I try to get professional massages 4 – 6 times per year because of my bad back, but unfortunately this was one of the worst. I am only writing this review because they were simple things that I think will benefit future customers, if fixed. A few concerns with the room: First, the room was way too bright for a massage, mainly because the windows were large and only covered with a thin curtain. I recommend getting black-out curtains. Secondly, the room was freezing. Given it was in the winter when I received the massage, and the room felt fine with clothes on, but as soon as the sheet was removed for my massage, I was a lot colder. I recommend turning the temperature up a little in the room, or investing in a heat blanket to put under the fitted sheet for customers to change to their preference(some places do this). Lastly, the music was playing through a speaker via the massage therapists’ iPhone. Normally this would be fine, however, the iPhone was on loud and she kept receiving text messages/email notifications which would«ding» through the speakers each time, interrupting the music and startling me because it was so loud. I found this pretty rude. I recommend a CD or putting the iPhone on silent. A few concerns with staff: First, at the beginning of the session, I explained to the therapist how I wanted more attention to my back than anything else. She agreed to do everything else for a short and limited time, however, she started on my front and did not get to my back until the last 10 minutes! It felt like she the exact opposite of what I asked. Secondly, the other staff members were chatting loudly outside of the room and I could hear everything they were saying including gossip. It was very annoying and distracting. I honestly could not wait to get out of there. As for me, being a respectable person, who also works in the customer service industry, I still tipped. However, on my way out the therapist told me to «Write a Review online and bring it in for a discount on my next massage.» I will not be returning but hopefully this review will help for future customers. I had made an appointment about a week in advance for a haircut. Upon arriving to the salon, someone came out from the back and asked if I had an appointment, so I said yes and she told me to wait a few minutes, didn’t ask for my name or anything, and just walked away to the back. After 30 minutes of sitting in the waiting area, no one had come to the front to greet me so I left. Definitely lost my business
