Hampton Inn Columbia

Delivered as do most Hampton Inn’s do. A nice clean, comfortable room. A great breakfast in the morning with eggs, waffles, gravy, biscuits, fruit, etc. etc. etc.
Jennifer at the from desk is great, she will go out of her way to help make your stay better. The only negative is that it is a little bit far away from downtown Columbia, but there are some really nice restaurants and shopping close by, so it isn’t that big of a deal at all.

Overall I would have to say I was very pleased with my visit to Hampton Inn Columbia. Whenever going into hotels I get the heeby jeevies because who knows, after all who was in the room before you and who cleaned the room after them.
That being said, first impressions when walking into the lobby here were good! The desk attendants were very friendly and the lobby looked clean. OK Good.
Next up was the room, which upon walking in was a little dark, but seemed clean. I checked under the sheets to make sure there were no bed bugs, and good for me there weren’t. Further inspection deemed this place VERY clean.
A couple of things of note:
— No booze onsite, but they do have a nice selection of pop’s and juices and microwave meals on site for purchase.
— Pretty large mini fridges in the room, in case you are extended stay.
— A GREAT continental breakfast available in the morning. The food was seriously SO GOOD.
— Coffee and hot water available all day long for those of us who like a little something in the morning and evening
Overall, this hotel is a solid 4.5 stars. A little cosmetic touch ups here and there could really make this hotel a 5!

Whenever I travel I generally go out of my way to stay at a Hampton Inn since I’ve always found them to be clean, spacious, and friendly at a reasonable price. This particular Hampton is one of the better ones. It’s large, five story, with a nice pool, out door patio, big lounge area and I found my room to be particularly well appointed with a very comfortable king size bed. It’s also located within easy distance from some rather decent restaurants.
The Wi Fi is super fast and far more hassel free, user friendly than most, but be sure to ask the desk clerk about its functions at check in since it works somewhat differently than most.
