I stay in Choice Hotels a lot and am usually extremely happy with them. My room in this place, however, reeks, I mean, reeks of cat urine. It is the worst smelling hotel I have ever stayed in, by far. I notified the front desk and they provided a bottle of Glade. The place is full, so no other rooms available. I am sitting out in the hallway writing this review because I was getting very nauseous in the room. It’s after midnight, so I doubt finding another hotel is an option at this point. Please, whatever you do, for the love of God, take my advice and stay far, far away from this place.

I travel for my job a lot. I have stayed at several hotels around the Columbus area and to be honest this is by far the best. 2 reasons its very quiet and second the inner city area hotels may be new but the neighborhood around them are like WAR zones. I have a large labeled construction truck and nothing is missing in morning. The entire hotel is under renovations and they are installing a elevator. The property is improving. Parking is odd but the Front Desk person always tells you the right access door so your car isn’t a mile away. There is gas station next door and a great Popeye’s also. Your 2 off ramps from the mall and Cabela’s. The room size does very I do agree but the A/c units are new and the old smell issue the earlier posts are gone. Remember it’s a Comfort Inn not the Four Seasons. Happy traveling

The staff was friendly, but the place was absolutely filthy! Smallest hotel room ive ever seen in my life and it also had a broken a/c unit that blew hot air in 88 degree temp days… My total stay was 4 days. Some days continental breakfast only had stale day old buscuits and runny eggs, other days they actually had a working waffle maker… This makes a big difference to a hungry toddler! In summary, this was the worst«roach motel» rip off ive ever stayed in– at $ 79 a night no less!

The staff was pleasant enough but the place needs repair. We first could not get the door to open, thought it was the wrong key. When attendant came, he actually kicked the door open and said«lucky lucky». That was funny enough. Once we got inside and he left, we realized we could not close the door, we had a video taping how much we worked on closing the door that seemed just one millimeter too big for the frame. Finally we closed the door, with much laughter, we could not lock it. The lock did not fit either, took us another while to get it done. Thank goodness my daughter and I had enough energy to entertain our sense of humor. The next morning breakfast area had decent amount of food but no forks and no seats available. The public bathroom near breakfast area was messy and dirty early in the morning. When I washed my hands and was ready to leave, I saw there was a piece of floss hanging on the door handle, I had to go get toilet paper to hold the door handle to let myself out, pretty gross.

My wife and I stayed here 1 night in May. This hotel is in very much need of some updating and repair. We got back to late from our function we attended to complain. Our room was 128, the bathtub had no drain plug or grate, just a hole. There was some type of splatter on the wall, the light switch and even the hairdryer. Looked like blood, would not wash off. The curtains were filthy and either blood stained or mold stained. We are Choice Hotel Members and will not stay here again. We did tell hotel clerk.

Dirty, smelly, sketchy! Have stayed at numerous Comfort Inns and this one was disgusting. Was talking to my daughter on the way out about how nasty it was and other guests, who I didn’t know, overheard and agreed with us. Seriously gross!
