Well… Penn Station has a reward app which gives you a free 6 inch sub after you register. Just walked in and tried to redeem my reward and was told its not working after I tried to redeem it. What the??? So I’m frustrated and won’t be able to use my free reward but decided to get a sub anyway, I’m highly disappointed. May be my last time up in here. High way robbery

I was looking for something different than Subway or Jimmy John’s, which seem to be the sub shops I frequent most when I need a quick sandwich. I didn’t have high expectations going in and I am not sure why. but I was pleasantly surprised! I walked in on a Tuesday night at dinner time. It was not at all busy so I walked right up. The staff took time to walk me through my order to be sure I was getting what I wanted. They were helpful and friendly. I sat inside the restaurant to eat my sub and fries and I was pleased with the comfort level. I was able to observe the staff while they worked and they seemed genuine with the customers and with each other. My vegetarian sub tasted great and the fries were great too. I’ll add this to my list of regular sub shops I stop into when I have a craving!

I think people forget that this is here because this shopping center doesn’t get the traffic it did back when this was Big Bear(yes I went there!). The subs are really good… I enjoy their Philly Cheesesteak. It’s a sandwich shop that just does a good job. The staff here are always nice, courteous, and quick(especially since quite a bit is on a grill). It’s a bit pricey, but your also getting good, quality meat– steak is steak,… Not mystery meat. Their fries are like fair or pier type fries… So good. The lemonade is super delicious. It’s fresh and not super sweet, but has a nice tartness. Also, if you sign up on their website, they offer coupons and have promotions thru out the year.

Bags soaked in oil/vinegar & rips open in my car Fries are soggy No customer service Inconvenient rules for a credit 2 stars for Good subs if they can get your order right I ordered 2 subs w/o oil/vinegar. But b4 i can get home the bag rips open bcuz its drenched in oil/vinegar, food goes all over.(This happened way to many times) I talked to the girl who took my order & made my food. She knew she messed up but couldnt give me a credit. Thats all i wanted. Its been 4 days and no call back from the manager.

Extremely over priced. The food tasted good, but that’s it!!! We weren’t able to enjoy it because we were so pissed that we had to go back to get all of the food that we paid for but did not receive. The customer service was atrocious. We had to go back to get the medium fries we ordered and common customer service would have been to give us a large for our trouble but that was not the case. Again, the food did taste good, but it was well over priced for the size and portions.

First time coming and enjoyed my vegetarian sub. Wide variety of toppings and sizes to choose from. Really enjoyed opting for a oil and vinegar dressing instead of mayo. Their fries are fresh and handcut! Combine that with malted vinegar and it’s heaven! It’s nice to see a place that has hand cut fries for a good price. Will say that I wished they did combos instead. Two sandwiches and a fry and drink was over twenty bucks. Will come again

I must say I do love their subs. They are always made fresh to order with whatever you would like on them. I have never had a sub there that was any less than what I expected it to be. The reason for the 4 stars are listed below. The wait. No matter if there are 5 people ahead of you or just 1 you are going to have to wait. The people are always nice it’s just that waiting 10 – 30 minutes for a sub is a little lengthy. I have gone to sit down restaurants and gotten my food faster. The fries. I know so many people that love them but I think they are gross. I don’t know why, I just dont like them. I have tried them on several occasions but they are just not my thing(my kids and husband all love them).

This place sort of grows on you. Besides the wide variety of subs, they also have lemonade and french fries, Those add quite a bit to the cost of the meal, but hey! I’m going to have to try switching off here for a while and see how it goes.

This place is convient to my house and they have real cut french fries. I might stop here once a month and get a steak and cheese. Its always the same –gooey. The fries are to be eaten there, to make sure they are crunchy. Lemonade is tart. There has been a crowd like once when I was in there, its usually just a table or two. Its a good solid sandwich. No frills, not over the top. Just a solid alternative to a burger.

How this Penn Station stays in business, I don’t know. It’s in a shopping center along with about five empty storefronts, and I’ve never seen more than one or two people here. On the other hand, I always end up here for dinner, and Paul F. says it’s hopping at lunch. It’s just as good for dinner, trust me. It’s truly amazing how much better a sub is when it’s toasted. It’s like night and day. I like to get the Italian sub here, which is just ham, salami and pepperoni. But cook that meat on a flat-top grill along with some veggies, then send it all through the toaster oven, and what comes out is a salty, savory thing of perfection. I’m literally drooling right now just thinking about it. And the fries! McDonald’s spends billions to engineer their fries to taste as good as possible, but places like Five Guys, In-n-Out, and Penn Station realize all you have to do is slice the potatoes, fry them and salt them, and they turn out great. And you don’t have to ingest six different petroleum products. Penn Station also has what’s probably the best lemonade in town… possibly more tart than some people prefer, but perfect for my tastes. They have a nifty vegetarian option, too, in the artichoke sandwich, which my wife raves about. In dozens of visits, I’ve never had any issues with the service here, or with my order coming out with the wrong toppings(a problem that plagues fast-food places). Of course, everything’s made to order, so it usually takes about 10 minutes, and that’s if there’s no other customers. But it’s worth the wait.
