Love this place. I’m a burger and fries simpleton. Im easy to please but a strict burger critic. If I’m at Easton this place is on my short list. Burgers are awesome. Free parking in lot right beside building makes it easy to park, shop then eat. Good beer selection also.

Service was spot on, draft selection extensive, really interning menu for a burger place, and yes, food was delicious! We sat outside, almost the entire patio is shaded. Great atmosphere, casual. Would definitely come back.

Flip Side is a nice change of pace if you are looking for more of a gourmet burger. Sure the prices are a little higher than most but you are def getting a better quality burger. I had their Godfather special burger with pepperoni and mozz. It was delicious! If you want fries they dont come with your burger, its a seperate charge. they are good, but it def raises your bill. 3 of us was around $ 50.00. Good food and service. Yes, Cost a lot… Yes.

We met here on a Sunday late afternoon. It was fairly quiet and easy parking in the lot next door. I ordered the One Red Door burger the apple wood bacon aoli was a bit thick but I enjoyed the flavors. I felt the burger was moist and flavorful. We as a table ordered the sweet potato fries, with the horseradish sauce. It did seems to be an odd combination but the fries were cooked perfectly and the sauce had me coming back for more. We had the regular fries with cheese sauce as well. I felt the cheese sauce was a bit gritty, if this is a house made sauce maybe too much flour in making the base. We ordered milk shakes and they all were tasty. Overall I think this would be a great place for a date night, it’s a bit pricey for a $ 10 – 12 burger and $ 5 fries, $ 6 shakes and really no kids menu. But what they do here they do well. I would come back to try another burger, sweet potatoe fries and share a shake

Well… I was mixed on the reviews-and thought we might as well try this place even thought I LOVE my favorite-North Market! Not that impressed with this place and we won’t be back!!! I can see why the reviews are the way they are. It’s hit or miss-more of a corporate restaurant experience. I personally think it is way overpriced and not great food! No children’s menu! Seriously? You are at Easton!!! $ 8 for a mac and cheese-what we had to order, not even great. Just an FYI-it’s full of stuff-I asked our server and she said herbs? Service was another issue, not the best and not helpful at all! Not friendly, and acted like she hated her job and did not want to even deal with us or her other tables. We also had a full view of the kitchen. The entire time we sat there(45 minutes), 3 plates sat of fried onion rings, and something else under the warmer the entire time! I literally thought to myself,” I have no idea what that is for, but never wanted it on my plate“ We had the Ranch Field Greens salad for $ 7! Not worth it! My husband and I also had, «the burger that started it all-One Red Door Burger.» For $ 11 it should come with fries! It didn’t! Those were an additional $ 6! So yeah not that impressed, I agree with the other reviews. WAY over priced, not great quality food, management and service is terrible! Don’t waste your time or money! Better options at Easton!!!

Maybe one o the best Burgers&Fries for me… served hot and greasy! Long wait for a table and a good wait for the food, but it arrived hot & yummy. The restaurant is busy at lunch& dinner and it is noisy. Service was good and attentive. We visited the Liberty Center location in Mason, Ohio. Noticed they have a Happy Hour from 3 – 6 so plan on adding that to our agenda! Lots of TVs, too.

I’ve changed my mind. The burgers are really good. Tasty, large, with great toppings. Impressive. The beer is usually local and they had a Yellow Springs takeover on my night. The low alch light was super. We sat on the nice patio on a beautiful night. I’m happy to increase 1* from my previous review. These guys know burgers and their longevity is a testament to management. Check them out for a great burger. I noticed they had a fresh fish sandwich option at $ 16. I will try that next.

I’m not sure why some reviewers called this place hipster. I didn’t get that vibe. Anyway, we stopped by Flip Side for burgers around 2pm on a weekend. It wasn’t too busy and we were seated right away. I ordered the Californian turkey burger which came with a roasted pepper vinaigrette sauce which I didn’t really care for. The burger itself was great. A good sized to it where you don’t end up feeling hungry after you’ve finished it. I also got to try a bite of the farm raised bison burger which was another burger I was looking at but didn’t order since I wasn’t sure what boursin cheese was. LOL. I thought it might be another variant of blue cheese or feta cheese. Well it’s not. And that bison burger was great! It was much better than the turkey burger. This one came with a homemade steak sauce which had kind of like a liquid smoke taste. I also ordered the triple cooked fries with truffle oil and grana pandana cheese. The texture of the cheese is similar to the parmesan cheese you get in those pizza packets. There were a few burnt pieces in the fries, but overall it was pretty good. Although I would have liked more of the truffle taste to it. I’m a fan of this place and would come back the next time I’m in the area!

First time was better. Otherwise four stars. My burger was very medium when I asked for medium well. I tried the Cinco de Mayo burger. Eh, just ok. Presentation was poor. It’s just not a good looking blend of ingredients. The guacamole is brown because of the chorizo, the salsa on top of the burger is «dirty» Orange in color. Ok taste, but not very visually appealing. The Karate Mule was phenomenal! If you like a kick, grab one or two! Wedge salad looked and tasted great!

Im a burger guy. I am a carnivore. I grind my own meat, and cook out/BBQ year round. Ive had just about everyone’s version of their burger in central Ohio, and must say… my first burger at Flip Side is at the top of the list! The décor is pub like, with lots of big screen TVs with a rustic western vibe. Seated immediately and the service was great, but the wait time from ordering to serving seemed a little long, however, the burger was fresh and hot upon arrival. Their beef is Ohio sourced, grass fed, and ground from cuts of brisket and boneless short rib. They have like 10 different burgers to choose from, all looking good. I got their signature FlipSide burger. It comes with 2 year aged Cheddar cheese, apple wood bacon, charred balsamic vinegar red onions, and house made BBQ sauce. It was OUTSTANDING! Great beef flavor from the custom grind, and perfectly matched ingredients, that compliment the burger, not cover it up. And, for only 10 bucks! Take note Northstar! Also got their triple fried fries with salt and herbs… added the Truffle Oil and Grana Pandana Cheese option, however, they were lacking. Not very crisp… seemed old, like they held them over too long, rather limp, but the taste was on point. Taking one star off for the fries… if I were to rate just the burger, 5 solid ones! I most definitely will be returning to sample their other burger offerings. Yummo!

By far the best burger in Columbus! Overall experience was great! I like how they source everything locally and make everything fresh. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends

Greasy doesn’t really explain it. I had a medium size pool of grease on my plate and that was after I picked the grease soaked bun off the plate. I would like to say my burger was an isolated issue but my husband’s burger was just as greasy. We both ordered the flipside burger bbq sauce which was good becasue the sauce was of the homemade variety, it was too strong on the cinnamon. I would give 2 stars because the onion rings were good; but I sat in a spot where I could view the kitchen window and watched our server manhandle everything that came out of the window. Personally I don’t really care that my beef is a grass fed Ohio cow but for the hipsters out there I’m sure this is appealing along with the organic ketchup. Word of advice: If you’re not a hipster just go to 5 Guys.

Well this place is the best place to get a burger in Columbus I believe, at least if my initial visit is any indication. My friend was leaving to head back to Chicago and so we were looking for a place to get a good burger. Unilocal!showed this as the place to go and so we tried it out. The restaurant is extremely clean and new looking and our service at about 3pm-4pm on a Monday was excellent. The server took the time to really explain all the options and filled our water/beer as soon as it ran a bit low. The burger I had, the Forester burger was a real treat for mushroom lovers. They even gave me a custom order with two different types of cheese! My friend tried the Shaun burger and loved his a lot. I’ve only been here once and I will make sure to go back as soon as humanly possible when in the Easton area. Highly recommended!

So, I’m glad that the location isn’t deep within Easton. We went on a Saturday, and we were seated within 30 minutes! We had a party of 5, and I was surprised we were seated to quickly. Waters and drinks were brought promptly, and the waitress was extremely attentive. I had the curry lamb burger, and I will probably be back for it again. It was delicious! I asked for it medium rare, and it was medium rare! I love their double dipped/fried fries! I got them with parm and the truffle oil. They did not get soggy, and most of them stayed crisp. Two things I do not like about the location: 1.) The seating/décor is a bit odd. The stupid chairs with the corset lacing. It makes me feel weird. lol Its weird. The décor is also caught between modern/industrial and old barn or Mexican cantina. I can’t tell the difference. 2.) Landing a parking spot at Easton sucks. I wish they had a location with more parking. I’d go to a location outside of Easton! All that said, I’ll definitely be back to try those Kobe Beef Corn Dogs!!!

Ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The burger bun was nice and toasted, the beef was buttery soft, fresh and very juicy. The toppings were fresh and the cheese(white cheddar) was great. The patty however was completely unseasoned, dragging the burger down to a state of mediocrity. I’ve been here before and had a burger with lots of toppings(egg, bacon, etc.), it was great. Maybe the burgers are typically made with the idea of a lot salty toppings in mind. The fries were good, a natural cut, nicely fried, salted and herbed. The order(a large bowl full of fries) was way too large for one person. The price was $ 4.50, I would’ve paid 3 bucks for half that many fries. The service was excellent but I was one of only three people in the restaurant.

Caveat: I do not particularly enjoy Easton. So, when I elect to STAY at Easton after shopping so I can eat here, it’s saying something. The burgers are fantastic, staff is nice, and the inside is really cool, sort of an industrial cowboy vibe(is that a thing? We’ll say that’s a thing). However, my favorite thing they have here are their onion rings. Somehow, they are perfectly cooked, but aren’t greasy at all. The sauce they serve them with is top notch as well. Good drink list to top it all off! Go eat a delicious burger!

I needed to make a trip to Trader Joe’s, so since I was surrounded by restaurants, I decided to grab lunch at Easton. Perusing thru my bookmarks, I’ve had Flip Side tagged for quite some time. I was craving a juicy burger, so why not. What a beautiful weekend, and it was carrying over to that Sunday afternoon. Sat in the patio area. Decent in size. Cool lattice. Right after I got seated, patrons started to roll in. This was my first visit here, and I had always assumed it was like Red Robin: tons of burger combinations to pick from. I was surprised to find their menu is not as loaded. However, all the meat here is Ohio grass feed, so I assumed quality over quantity — yay! I went with the«special»: Pork Belly burger. What? Pork belly slice atop the burger, apple-cranberry relish, cheddar and a mustard BBQ sauce on the side. Mustard wasn’t meshing with my tongue, so I opted for a brush of mayo. The pork had a good juicy flavor. If it could have had a tad more burst in the mouth, I’d be splendid. The apple relish was great. The sweet blended well with the savory pork and beef. The beef burger was nicely cooked(medium), juices running down my fingers. The bun? Eh. The top was a bit hard. The bottom was half soggy from the meat juices. It worked, though, I guess. I don’t go up around the Easton area much anymore, I’m not one to spend a day strolling a mall and shopping. There are several restaurants to pick from, which is nice when you want options. My take on FS is a bit flippy-floppy. It didn’t stand out above many other places I’ve tried, but it definitely wasn’t a horrible lunch.

It doesn’t take much of a reason for me to head out for a Good Burger and with the inspiration of «National Cheeseburger Day» I finally squirreled my way into Easton to a place that’s been on my «to try» list a long time. I was double lucky to find a parking space within the lot outside this burger joint. I was quickly greeted and seated at a nice two-topper by the bar and patio. With the National celebration in mind I went directly to the signature Flip Side Burger, 2yr old Cheddar cheese, apple wood bacon, charred balsamic vinegar red onions, house made BBQ sauce on Ohio grass feed Beef. I paired it up with a order of buttermilk battered Onion Rings and awaited the arrival of the Burger Jubilee. What I received did not disappoint me in any way, a beautifully cooked burger with ample tasty toppings. Perfect sammich bacon, not too crispy. not too chewy and wonderfully messy like a good burger should be. The O-Rings?!? Wow, what a huge order, I didn’t think I was getting the whole onion but damn I liked’em. You won’t be saying where’s the onion with these bad boys. The batter is that perfect hybrid of tempura and breaded, kind of the best of both worlds and served with a tasty remoulade for dipping. This place has a nice simple open casual dining room with both patio and bar seating available, TV’s to catch the games and fun, friendly service. My server kept my drink full and table clean while I enjoyed my latest good Kindle read and one awesome burger on this special Holiday. I walked away satisfied that I honored the Cheeseburger spirit of this day well and will hopefully be back before another year goes by…

Awesome place with quality food. They are accommodating for large parties too, my only complaint is that they do require for your entire party to be present before they will seat you. At Easton, this can be a problem because if you have a group shopping around at different stores, or even people arriving in different cars, the chances of everyone walking in at the same time is minimal and there is very little space inside the restaurant to wait. Once you’re seated though it is smooth sailing from there. They will split salads or burgers if you’re sharing with a friend, and I have never had a meal here that I didn’t like. I would recommend the Flipside burger!

I didn’t think I would like this place as much as I did! Easton can be a nightmare but my experience here was wonderful. I was seated immediately(at 7p on Friday) and the waitress was prompt, friendly, and offered great suggestions. I ordered The Mikey Burger and a side of fries. The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful. The roumelade was excellent and I found myself dipping my fries into it instead of ketchup! The fries were crispy and well seasoned. I also tried my friends’ strawberry pie and apple pie shakes. Both were delicious, though I preferred the strawberry. Overall it was a great experience! I’ll definitely be back.

I was very impressed with what I’ve had(and I’ve had some very awesome burgers all over this country): The Smokey Burger: BBQ Brisket tops melted, smoked gouda cheese, on a perfect 100% farm raised beef burger(all from OHIO) and the Brioche bun complements the lettuce, tomato, pickles and pickled jalapeños… Enough said! A la carte! Truffle Fries with grated cheese, mini Kobe beef Corn Dogs, salads… Tempura Asparagus… The whole 9 yards! Service is awesome. Location: Easton, Columbus… There are 4 more in the Cleveland Area!

This is probably my favorite burger joint in Columbus, and it sits right in the middle of one of the most pain in the ass places to find a parking spot. Luckily, the Easton garage is somewhat close, so you don’t have to try and find a spot in the surface lots. Flip Side is almost always busy, whether it’s dinner on a weekend or just trying to grab lunch during the week. I’ve actually gone there by myself for lunch and haven’t even been able to get a seat at the bar, but I don’t think that’s a normal occurrence. I went back last week for the first time in forever, and my burger was still perfect. I think their greatest attribute is consistency, because the quality of food they have pumped out over the past few years has never faltered me. The Chili Pepper Burger is probably my favorite, but the Firestarter and Flipside burgers are just as good. The onion rings they have are amazing and bring so much more to a burger that’s already seasoned and cooked perfectly. I tried the sweet potato fries for the first time, and they were delicious. They come with a horseradish sauce that I thought would taste a bit odd with the sweetness of the fries, but it worked with them really well. The service this past time was decent(our server was a bit awkward but nice), and everything was brought out very quickly. That’s key for me when going here for lunch during work. A meal can be a bit on the expensive side, but you are definitely getting a quality burger and sides. They have a lot of great beers on draft as well. Flip Side may be considered a chain, but not all chains are created equal, and it definitely breaks the mold on them when it’s cranking out these high end burgers. I can’t vouch for the Cleveland locations, but if you live in Columbus and haven’t checked in here, then you’re really missing out.
