5 words is all you need to know about this restaurant. Mediocre food and slow service. Frankly I don’t know how the place has not gone out of business long ago. The food has very little taste and is not prepared properly. My wife ordered salmon that came to her dried out and over cooked. When asked how it was supposed to be prepared the manager said rare. Laughable. It took 30 minutes before we got the drinks we ordered. It took another 30 minutes before we got our first course. What seemed odd was that the restaurant was maybe a third full. For a bill of $ 105 the food and service was nothing close to what it should of been.

I had beef on the brain Saturday at Easton, and their sign says«McCormick’s & Schmick’s Seafood and Steak», so I thought a nice small steak would work, so me and my Daughter went in for lunch. To my surprise, they dont serve any steaks for lunch. Really? We ordered the seafood stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer, which were good, but too big to eat whole, and when youd go to cut them in half, they would disintegrate. Very difficult to eat. I ordered the America Kobe burger(medium), and she got the Fish & Chips with fried shrimp. And we waited… and waited… and waited. We saw another table being served their entrée’s who came in well after us. After 25 minutes, our food arrive, and they were not busy at all. Doesnt it take like 6 – 8 minute to cook a burger medium? When our food arrived, I took a couple bites, and saw that it was cooked well done, and rather dry. And it didnt really taste that good anyway. If youre going to charge $ 16 for a burger, it better be damn good at the very least. This one was not… I can make a better burger on my grill at home. I only ate about half of it. I will say the fries were pretty good, but my Daughter was disappointed that her«chips» were the standard fries like mine. She also said the fish was meh, and the deep fried shrimp had WAY too much batter/crust on them. They leave the tails on, so it was difficult to locate them. She also had clumped of deep fried batter, that had no shrimp in them. It was as if the the batter that fell of in the deep fryer, they would plate, and serve it to you anyway. While our server was nice, she never asked how our food was, but when I brought the over cooked burger to her attention, she looked at it, and agreed it was well done. Then, another woman came over. She didnt identify herself, but asked how the food was. I told her about the burger, and she asked what she could do, and I said nothing. Im not one to take advantage when Ive eaten have the meal. Their bigger problem, is we wont be returning. Then we got the bill, and it was a whooping $ 52! No alcohol and only one drink(iced tea) for $ 3.95! Four bucks for a glass of tea? Come on!(drink prices were not on the menu… I would have gotten a water like my Daughter if I would have known) And lastly, I have a pet peeve about restaurants who try to dictate what to tip, and sure enough, at the bottom of the menu«A Suggested Gratuity of 15%-20% Is Customary.» I dont give a rats behind what you«suggest». Its MY money, and I will decide how much to tip based on food, service, and experience. Im would have given this place 2 stars based on this visit, but Im taking one away for the terrible value.

A good choice for restaurant week. We entered the restaurant like 10 at night after shopping at Easton. Their waiters were polite and served as usual. The crab cake was good but not good enough to finish both.

I normally do not write a review unless a restaurant exceeded expectations or, as in this case, fell way below. My wife and I went to McCormick & Schmick’s for my birthday, because we wanted to eat some good seafood. It was a little pricey(i.e. $ 20-$ 40) range so we fell into the trap that this would mean the food would be good. Upon being seated, the female server greeted us as if she was agitated. It is quite possible that she simply was having a bad day. Because of this, the service was very sub-par. She was constantly MIA and when I asked for the check, it was another 15 minutes before she brought it. And when she did, she threw it on our table as she walked by without breaking stride. However, the food was the major letdown. The other reviewers are correct when they say the food is «meh». I ordered the $ 19 Fish & Chips and they were overly greasy, very small, and just not very tasty. The french fries were overly salted with celery salt which just didn’t make them taste good. It wasn’t the worst food in the world, but the quality was just so astoundingly low for the price we were paying. Think of the worst seafood chain restaurant that comes to mind and this was probably worse. I was just shocked. I think the female server’s poor attitude and the expensive sub-par food just made this visit very negative. To survive as a chain restaurant at Easton, I believe you need to bring your«A game». Based on the price, quality of food, and poor service, I don’t think McCormick & Schmick’s will be around much longer unless they improve in these areas.

Great bar atmosphere. Good beverages, awesome happy hour menu and a really solid bar staff. Dinner food is overpriced and the quality level is lacking. My filet was dry and bland. Wife’s sesame ahi was a bad cut of fish, impossible to cut and also bland. Very disappointing all the way around. Again, hit up the happy hour. It’s fantastic. Then head somewhere else for dinner.

This is a go to lunch spot when shopping at Easton. Oysters and grilled salmon caesar salad today. Another great lunch. Eric did a great job serving us at the bar.

On new year’s eve, four of us went to dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere and the service(i.e. our waitress) were excellent. Unfortunately our food was not! Our daughter had warned us about the food ahead of time, but it was the only place with open reservations. We started off with the stuffed mushrooms which were disappointing. 5 large mushrooms for $ 12. They were just breaded and deep fried, and so bland that I had to salt them to give them any taste. For the main meal, my sister-in-law and I had the special stuffed salmon. The salmon was overcooked and very dry. I bake salmon at home periodically, and my own salmon has never been that bad. We mixed it with the mashed potatoes to eat it. The mashed potatoes were actually pretty good. Can it be hard to make mashed potatoes though? The vegetable side dish was green beans – they were cold and waaaay under cooked. After trying to chew a couple of them we both gave up, and I complained. They substituted grilled cauliflower for mine. My wife had the crab cakes and asparagus. The asparagus was so tough she had trouble cutting it with her knife. The crab cakes were mushy and undone on one side, and TOTALLYBURNT on the other. They were inedible. Seriously? So we had to send my wife’s whole order back and we got a refund for it. My brother-in-law ordered the leg-in lamb over mac-n-cheese with bacon(something like that). We couldn’t believe what he received. It was nothing but a thick pork chop(which he said didn’t taste that great) on top of some boiled tube macaroni. I didn’t see a spot of cheese or sauce or anything on on that macaroni. He complained to the waitress, but in lieu of getting something else, he just took his wife’s mashed potatoes and put them on the pork chop to suffice. All of us were really disappointed in the terrible meal. This restaurant is REALLY expensive and we expected good food. We complained to the waitress, and when management came by to ask us how our meal was, we complained to her too. She said we would get free desserts for it. So my in-laws ordered sorbet and a scoop of vanilla ice cream; my wife and I got the crème brûlée. The crème brûlée that came had almost NO crispy glaze on it. They must have made them en masse earlier that day because the custard was stiff and dry, like the consistency of cheesecake instead of custard, and the glaze had melted into the custard. ANDTHEYCHARGEDUSFORTHEDESSERTS! We were too mad and frustrated to argue about the bill. We just paid it and left. Oh, I forgot to mention that they gave us an order of brussel sprouts to compensate for the bad asparagus, but it came after our dessert so we got it to go. It smelled SOBAD that we had to put it under the table. When we left the restaurant we threw it away along with the cauliflower. Yes, I did tip the waitress 20%. She was great. P. S. This morning my brother-in-law texted us that he stopped at Burger King on the way home from the restaurant and had a hamburger. My hunch is that it was cooked right and tasted great.

6 of us went to McCormick & Schmick’s last night(New Years Eve). We were seated quickly and in a nice area, sectioned off for privacy. After that things went downhill. five of our group ordered their 6oz Filet. after waiting what seemed like a long time, our filets were delivered, but 3 were too well done. We had ordered medium and were told they would be a warm, pink center. 3 were well done, no pink at all. they did them over and this time two were medium. Mine was still too well done. The other three people had finished their meal by the time the do overs were delivered. They offered another do over for me, but I declined because I did not want to wait another 30 to 40 minutes. they did allow me to eat what I had and did not charge me. I would have preferred a good steak. The asparagus that came with the steaks were large stemmed and tough. The mashed potatoes were alright, but a bit expensive for what I got. The bread was ok, but had to wait until after the salads were delivered and then only got 1 tub of butter for 6 slices of bread. Had to ask for more bread and more butter. We had purchased gift cards to pay for the meal. After the free meal for me, I still left a 20% tip and had money left on the gift card. I had to hunt down our server to get the card back. I will go back to use the balance of my gift card. My wife and I were quite disappointed with the food. I can go to Texas Roadhouse and get better food and better service for half the price. After this experience, we will not be returning to McCormick & Schmick’s.

I love a good steak and had high expectations for this restaurant. Unfortunately, every course was underwhelming. I am a huge bread fan and it doesn’t take much to please me… I usually eat all the bread offerred. The bread here was nothing special-no seasoning on either the bread or butter-completely bland. My salad was overdressed and I’ve had better steak at O’Charleys. The steak was cooked correctly(medium) but was not hot at all. It had a strong char on the outside but had literally NO seasoning. Neither did the asparagus. I ordered the goat cheese mash and it too was sub-par. I left more than 50%(6 Oz filet) of my food on the plate and when I tried to share my displeasure with the server and manager both seemed disinterested. Save your money and head somewhere else.

Went with expectations of a special Christmas Day meal. Ordered the more expensive Wild King Salmon and both asked to have it cooked medium well. Received two salmon cooked rare which we sent back. Both come back cooked to the right temperature. To our surprise, we noticed that the salmon was a light pink(like the less expensive Atlantic Salmon) rather than a deep red expected from the wild salmon. We brought this to our waitresses attention and after talking to the chef, assured us that this was fresh wild King salmon. The salmon was delicious… But not what we had ordered. When the check came, we were charged for the Atlantic salmon at the lesser price. To add insult to injury, we were never offered bread with our meal or the chocolate truffles that every other guest received. We expected much better attention to detail for an expensive restaurant. We will not be back!

So I called for reservations for Xmas Night, explaining that we had to pick people up at the airport and it was weather dependent. The twit I got on the phone tried to get me to reserve at an earlier time. I explained again that the time I requested was the earliest we could get there. He never suggested a later time or coming in for a drink and helping to seat us. He then had to «go grab the manager» to which I responded to please put him on the phone. He came back and the manager had stepped away. The twit didn’t ask for a call back number and after several requests finally gave me the manager’s name. We have already been in and bought a gift card which I am going to get corporate to refund because if you run a restaurant, employ this level of worker and charge the prices you do, it’s not for us!!! I certainly hope someone from corporate decides to fix this location!

You should be embarrassed The worst An hour to get our lunch Asked about the size of the burger, our server said pretty big. Didn’t say it would be 2 smaller patties. Ordered medium served well, and the lettuce and tomato were also well done from sitting under the heat lamp. So hungry I just ate it. Asked for a different side other than fries, got a salad which was good but our server didn’t inform us there was a 4 dollar up charge. That part was worth it but it would have been good to be informed about the up charge. I guess the fact it is the only restaurant at Easton that isn’t busy should have been a clue

I took my girlfriend here on a Sunday, November the 1st2015. We both ordered two drinks from our server Michael. I ordered a Mojito while my girlfriend had a Raspberry mule. Both drinks were noted as tasting very sour, I guess that somehow buying into upscale dining means bringing some foreign tasting twists? Our server was appropriate and a good tip was left for him. The Bread and butter freshness was absolutely wonderful. My girlfriend noted the side Caesar salad as «Mediocre». For our Entrée, we shared the Crispy Chicken Parmesan as well as the Bacon wrapped shrimp. The Bacon wrapped shrimp was noted as just ok by both of us, although we only ate 3 of the 4! There was no special buttery flavor and no sauces in small stainless dishes to dip the shrimp into. The Shrimp garnish was a real mystery to us, as it was a corn salsa? The Crispy Chicken Parmesan had a breading that is very direct and sharp with carbon overtones, while the noodles and sauce were just bland and not hot, in food actual temperature. Perhaps there was a three lettered word of a man with law credentials forbidding anything but lukewarm to leave the kitchen? Overall, despite leaving a great tip, the bill being higher end yet not overly pricey, the food was not deserving of being dressed around a misleading visual concept. The look of the restaurant is excellent. The look of the silverware was not! Patina on silverware at a high end looking restaurant is perhaps a better name, all things considered. Sadly we will not be returning, nothing personal, just business!

Very disappointing. The food was not hot when it arrived and while it tasted good, I like my food served hot. In addition, I had a tray of drinks spilled on me and was only offered an apology and some napkins to try to dry off. Perhaps I should have been a bitch about my entire left side being soaked at the beginning of my night. I was not looking for my meal to be comped but an offer of a drink or dessert should have been made. I will be spending a lot of time in Columbus over the next few months and I will not be coming back to this restaurant. There are far too many better places to choose.

Sadly overpriced. Been here several times over the years, and inconsistency is the word of the day. When the right kitchen staff is in, it’s a pleasure. It seems as though they can’t keep top notch chefs on staff though, because I’ve had meals here where«underwhelming» is being generous. Unfortunately last night’s experience was a case of the latter, starting with the host trying to seat us in the bar — a party of 4 adults, one 6 year old, a toddler, and an infant! Something about they didn’t have a table or booth in the dining room that would accommodate. When he led us to a table directly under a ceiling speaker playing pop rock music some hat loudly, I insisted he find us something in the dining room. Service was courteous and friendly, but a little slow. The food is where the experience really underwhelmed. Apps: Calamari Bacon wrapped shrimp — 13.00 for 4 shrimp. Both apps were quite tasty, but the portion size of the shrimp was a little dissappointing. Entrees: Shrimp and andouii pasta Scallops Stuffed shrimp Salmon The pasta was sent back. We all tried it and all agreed there was something«off» with it. In my opinion the pasta was not properly drained, the sauce was watery as if mixed with pasta water. To me, the pasta was also bland and a little undercooked. The stuffed shrimp dish came out after everything else. In fact, the meal actually came out in 3 waves(4 if you count the pasta replace dinner) — kids popcorn shrimp and fries first, followed by salmon, scallops and pasta, followed by stuffed shrimp later. Finally, the second pasta dish(a different choice than the original and over seasoned in my opinion) after we had all but finished eating. I had the scallops which were fine, but far from outstanding, cooked nicely but under seasoned. My wife thought the salmon was good, but thought the green beans we undercooked. Sons girlfriend had the stuffed shrimp which she said were good, but she also felt the green beans were undercooked. We passed on dessert. All in all, based on this latest experience, I will be hard pressed to return to this place with the Ocean Club a 5 minute walk away. This place charges 4 star prices for a 4 star menu, but delivers 2.5 star quality.

I’ve only been to happy hour here so I can’t comment on the regular menu, but overall I thought the food was pretty meh. The happy hour is from 4 – 6:30pm weekdays(just need to get there before 6:30!). I didn’t think the variety or quality of the happy hour food at this location was as good as other McCormick & Schmick locations I’ve been to. My friend and I split the following: — Baja fish tacos(3⁄5): looks better than it tastes. There was too much breading on the fish, so I couldn’t really get the seafood flavor. The slaw/sauce on top was tasty though. — Black mussels(4⁄5): I love mussels, especially in white wine sauce, so I enjoyed this dish. Came with ~10 mussels. — Firecracker shrimp(3⁄5): I can’t remember much about this, so pretty unremarkable lol. Not spicy enough. All in all, this place was still pretty cheap and the drinks(get the mojito!) were yummy, so I would consider coming back.

I’ve never gone for anything except happy hour — which is a great deal. However today I noticed a lot less food with the hummus appetizer. It usually is a nice blanket of pita chips and this only had 6 and they were much smaller than my last visit. The fish tacos were a nice add, and they took the firecracker shrimp and made them tacos. Overall, good bang for your buck.

It’s a Sunday evening and a few people sit among us. We sit down and our greeted with great service. We ordered the calamari to start. I was disappointed to find out that we had more vegetables amd not enough calamari. It was $ 12.99 wasted. I got the seafood trio and it was ok, not spectacular. The salmon was a little over grilled but the sauce was creamy with a hint of lemon. The mash potatoes were super dry but the vegetables were surprisingly good dispite the thin cut. Overall ok and not impressed.

From the moment we walked in the hostess had an attitude. She said happy hour dining or dinner dining with an attitude. Definitely should not be a hostess. So she took us to the empty dining area and sat us in the corner by the kitchen. The place you normally get seated when a restaurant is full and no where else to put u. The food is good, but don’t piss off the hostess or she’ll put you in the kitchen. And it gets worse they sent me raw fish and there’s a picture to show proof thank you they don’t even deserve one star
