Oodles is pretty average at best. I wouldn’t make this my to go Asian place. There’s many typical Asian items from Chinese to That to Vietnamese. It has a good selection of vegetarian. The prices are reasonable but the quality is lacking. There are several specials here. A lunch special comes with a choice of appetizer and entrée for $ 7.95. You can choose hot and sour soup, miso soup, wonton soup, spring roll, or vegetable roll for the appetizer. The entrees are pan tossed over noodles, pan tossed over rice, or it can come as a soup. You can substitute tofu at no charge. I had pan tossed tofu over rice with miso soup. The soup was cold and the entrée was very poor. The tofu and vegetables tasted very not fresh. I was barely able to finish it. Since I paid for it, I forced myself to eat it all. They also need to use more seasoning. I wouldn’t recommend anything specific here. It has lots of choices at pretty good prices. There’s a lot to try here so I will give it another chance.

Super quick and relatively tasty food. It’s close to my work and my apartment so it is very convenient for me to pick up on my way home. I’ve had all of the noodle dishes, and some were better than others. I found the pad thai lacking in overall flavor, but I LOVE the Singapore rice noodles(with chicken). Their dumplings are pretty good. I prefer the fried over the steamed, but both of them are pretty good. I’d suggest going here for something quick.

Nice clean well lit place. Food is marginal. If you do not have an extensive palate this place may be perfect for you. I ordered phở(white rice noodle soup) and it was served in beef broth. Not the flavor that I desired. Overall it’s an «American „„Asian““ restaurant»

Great for speed. Bad for pad thai. If you like a very sweet fast foody pad thai then this is great for you! Also — don’t do the hot and sour soup — it’s just pepper. I generally love a strip mall place but this one can be skipped.

They have great pad thai. I’ve tried a few other dishes, but that one stands out the most. This place is really convient, and the prices are reasonable. Its probably not my first choice for a nice dinner, but definitely a good week night meal.

This is probably the closest restaurant to me that I’ve never tried, because it really didn’t appeal to me all that much. It’s tucked into the shopping strip with the Giant Eagle on Neil next to Spinelli’s Deli. My girlfriend and I were doing some shopping, and she was hungry, so I suggested it. I’d already eaten, so we didn’t get a big meal. This place is a very broad Asian Fusion, and it felt like they just took two or three of the most popular dishes from each Asian country and threw them on the menu. There was phở, Pad Thai, Singapore fried rice, a bunch of very common Chinese dishes, and a lot more. We weren’t really feeling Chinese and didn’t have any idea what to get, so the girl at the front suggested the Singapore Rice Noodles. We ended up trying those and some steamed dumplings. The one dishes was relatively inexpensive for how much food we received. The noodles were in a yellow curry sauce with bean sprouts and onions, and we had it with beef. It was pretty salty, but the flavor was okay. I wasn’t impressed, but my girlfriend actually liked it. Neither of us liked the steamed dumplings at all. The dough was very thick, and the inside was essentially a cheap meatball. A full order came with six, but I think we only had three total. I wouldn’t recommend those. This probably won’t be a place I come back to, because I’d feel like you’d have to visit several times to find a dish you’d like, and I just wouldn’t want to keep wasting meals here. The service was very quick and friendly, so if you’re in a rush, it might be a good option. I think if I were to come back, I’d have to be in a hurry, and I’d probably just go with something safe like one of the Chinese specials.

I went to the location on Neil Ave(Harrison West) today. As I waited for my food, I was watching people in the kitchen cooking. Nobody had gloves on and I saw one guy put his bare hands in a bucket of dumplings. Then right after that, the main cook was using the pot filler above the stove to fill up a pot and he rinsed his bare hands under the water then kept filling up the pot! I thought maybe he was going to pour the water out but he proceeded to cook with the same water he rinsed his hands into. No way will I ever eat there. These are just things I witnessed. I wonder what grossness we can’t see???

The potstickers are pretty good. However the $ 7.50 delivery charge being sprung on you at the end of your order isn’t so awesome. A friend picked up my food for me(since I was at work) and my order was completely wrong/they didn’t give her my drink, even though they charged me for it. Probably enough to keep me from going back since the food isn’t all that worth it.

Wasn’t terrible but wasn’t great. The food was honestly just so, so. My biggest problem was the way they packaged the carry out. The lid on my general tso’s was not secure at all. When I got home most of the stuff in my bag was ruined. Haiku is much better-they don’t use msg and they are only a few dollars more

Serviceable fast-food Asian in a location that cannot be beat(for those living close to downtown). My go-to is the General Tso’s chicken with brown rice. Spring rolls are a tasty but pricey addition($ 3 for two).

I wanted so much to like this place. Steamed Dumplings are bland and very thick, with a lackluster sauce. I had dan dan noodles… Which were essentially inedible. It tasted as though a jar of peanut butter had been poured over noodles. The pork in the dish had an odd, grainy texture, likely from too much coating before cooking. My husband had scheuan eggplant, which was pleasant enough but very bland. If you are unfamiliar with Asian flavors and like inexpensive filling food this may be great for you. We both liked the set up and décor, we both liked the variety of options. Unfortunately the end product was poorly balanced, heavy, and with none of the wonderful complexity of Asian cuisine. On the wall it says«bold flavors made simple» and what it meant is «bold flavors simplified into blandness». Bright spots were decent serve and good iced tea.

I’ve only gotten takeout here and tried two things. The dan dan noodles here are crazy good. Not authentic at all(like if you order this dish from an actual Chinese restaurant, it’ll taste nothing like this), but in a good way. The sauce just has so much flavor and I don’t really know how else to say it, but I think I have good taste and this is my jam. The pad thai on the other hand is terrible. Also not authentic, but this time in a bad way. The sauce tastes nothing like it’s supposed to and the dish felt almost… slimy to me. I couldn’t eat much of this dish unfortunately, and this actually deters me from being more adventurous with their menu so I’m going to stick to the dan dan noodles from now on.

The thai peanut noodle was tasty… nothing spectacular, but good enough. DONOT get the hot and sour soup! It was a thick gelatinous substance that I couldn’t bring myself to taste, very unappetizing.

I went to Oodles today at lunch. I got the Health choice veggies. The veggies are cooked to perfection and the sauce that comes with are wonderful. My mom got the Crab Rangoon and it is the best in town. We come here once a week and are always happy with everything.

Just as the other reviews say, this won’t win any awards. However, their Thai Peanut Noodle is quite good and at an amazing price. For $ 6.75, you get 2.5 cups of noodles in a creamy peanut sauce with some meat and veggies thrown in. Oodles also has a few deals. If you’re a frequent customer, you can sign up and do a buy 10 meals, get one free deal. Add to that a 10% discount for bringing in your own carry out container. With these two 10% discounts, the actual cost of a $ 6.75 dish is about $ 5.50. This is roughly half the price of a normal dish at other asian food places. It’s worth it for the few things I’ve tried that they do well(Thai Peanut Noodle, Dan Dan Noodle, and Fried Rice is serviceable)

It’s fast food Asian… so no, not the most amazing authentic food, but I think it’s pretty good considering! Huge portions and reasonably priced. I had a half order of steamed dumplings(which were OK) and chow fun(which was not exactly like chow fun I’m used to, but was still tasty). The food came out pretty fast, and the décor in the place is cheery and kind of adorable. But then again, with a name like Oodles of Noodles, what can you expect? =) It’s not a «waited staff» kind of place, but the staff was pretty attentive. Would definitely go there again if I was looking to get something yummy in a rush and was in the neighbourhood.

Being that there’s somewhat of a lack of great Chinese takeout places in Columbus, Oodles gets 3.5(rounding up to 4) stars for consistency, cleanliness, speed & overall tastiness(and convenience if that counts for anything). They offer your basic Americanized Chinese dishes with a few extras like phở and some curries. I can’t speak to the majority of the menu — I’ve only ever had the Szechuan House(chicken, beef & shrimp) with Brown rice and it’s been good every time. Could be a little spicier, but that’s not a deal breaker. Their wonton soup is good(but nothing special) and bf seems to enjoy their hot & sour soup. They have really excellent Crab Rangoon, not just cream cheese in wontons like some places(still imitation crab though). The thing that sets this place apart is the interior. Well-lit, roomy, clean and lots of seating(though I suppose I’ve only ever had takeout). The guy who takes my order on the phone is always super pleasant and my order is always accurate. Prices are pretty on-par with other Chinese places in the area. Main dishes around $ 7-$ 9, soups are $ 1.75, Crab Rangoon was around $ 4 or $ 5 I think. Great for a quick fuss-free dinner and certainty of knowing you’re going to get exactly what you ordered.
