Have seen a few reviews praising this place a little too much. It’s definitely not bad but don’t be fooled into thinking that you’re gonna get anything other than a decent pizza. Basically Subway ventures into the pizza biz, but I hate Subway and the pizzas are way more edible than a Subway sandwich. I’d say pretty good for the price, lots of ‘free’ toppings to choose from(which is kinda cool) but don’t expect this to be your favorite little homemade pizzeria that you love. Oh, and don’t call the oven a wood-fired brick oven. Pretty sure it’s just some ambient gas flames to try to make it look like a cool pizza brick oven.

Beer was cold. And the pizza slices I ordered fresh. Only took them 10 min to get em to tho. Device VERY slow. Don’t expect to get in and out in a hurry.

Pizza tasted like it had been frozen before but the bruschetta. Seemed trashy through, ghetto staff and the lender smokes outside while patrons eat. Definitely won’t be back.

We were in town from Pittsburgh for a few days for my nephew’s graduation from Fort Benning and we were looking for a good pizza place(not a chain). These are hard to find in the South! Picasso was recommended by our hotel staff and we were very pleased. Excellent food, we got to sit outside and enjoy the lovely weather and atmosphere of the town, and the owner was so nice to us! I don’t know if we will ever get back to Columbus, but I do recommend Picasso to anyone looking for good pizza and a reasonable price.

I like this place. The pizza is good. The service is really good. It is connected to the Tap, so great location. It is not amazing, but is better than average.

Service is nice. Beers are cold. Pizza is awesome. Had live music outside on a Tuesday night. I could come back here and drink and eat some food. Keep it up Picasso!

We really enjoyed sitting outside. I loved they brought the dogs water. The pizza was ok. I mean just ok. The crust is super thin. We may be back.

We had pizza by the slice and thought the price and taste were good. Service was nice. It’s small on the inside and on a cold night there is just nowhere to sit. We asked if there were going to turn on the warmers outside so our large group could sit together and they said no. It was a busy Friday night… don’t know why they turned us down.

Columbus is my hometown and I moved about 7 years ago. Whenever I come back to visit, I visit places I remember being good. The last hand full of times I went to Picasso’s for late night food and a drink, the food has been disappointing. I don’t mind the laid back service because the servers are usually energetic which is hard to find, but my order is either taken down wrong, or the food comes out cold. It sucks because you know they do not purposely try to make your visit testing. Examples:(1) Spinach dip was cold but the serving dish it comes in was burning hot. (2) Completely forgetting items on an order that was written down. (3) Waiting 30 minutes and having to go inside to give an order which was only going to be half fulfilled.(the wait doesn’t bother me because my order was still taken) (4) Ordering two slices of pizza with only one being freshly hot and the second piece literally being below room temperature. The servers always have great attitudes and seem like they enjoy having a job, but it’s these small things that make me question stopping in anymore. There’s something that is off during every visit, and if I come again, I will have to learn how to be direct in taking my order and clear about previous mess ups for the servers to take me as a customer seriously. I’m disappointed and hope they start paying a little more attention. The atmosphere and late menu is ideal, but they need to make sure the food is hot!

Not the best pizza I’ve ever had but it did the job after drinking. I noticed while I was waiting for my pie that they coat the pizza pan with layers of Pam spray. This made me very unimpressed. I know a little bit about making pizza pies and Pam is not part of it.

Yum! New York style pizza in South Georgia? I’ll take it! This pizza was awesome — thin crust, but with a buttery folded-over outside perimeter that added the perfect amount of balance to the slice. We had the House pie and the Meat Lover’s for a family of six. Slices were loaded with toppings and Buffalo mozzarella, though one of the pizzas was slightly blackened on the bottom. The slices weren’t cut through completely and they didn’t provide a serving utensil, so we had to ask the waitress to come back and cut the pizza again. The wait was also slightly long(maybe 15 – 20 minutes) after we ordered, but it was worth it. Artisanal pizza beats frozen any day, and I would rather eat this than pizza from a chain like Domino’s or Pizza Hut.

I was hungry at one in the morning an with every where else closed this place was open. Small and packed but still bloody good pizza. Never been to the north or NYC so can’t say it’s it’s a certain style, pizza is pizza. Good service nice atmosphere and awesome pizza cook!

Service? What service? I’m not sure how it is that this place is always so packed – maybe you have to know someone?

A friend and I got a quick slice of pizza here a couple of months ago. The pizza was good, but I was disappointed that their FourSquare deal was no longer valid – apparently that was set up by the previous owner.

1 star because it doesn’t provide for 0 or negative stars. Whatever they sell should not be called pizza. We order our pizza and when it finally came it wasn’t even pleasant to look at. It was burned on the bottom and raw on top. The waitress looked like she didn’t care about her appearance or her job. A sloppy pizza, served by a sloppy server at a sloppy place. Will not go there again unless some serious changes are made to the whole place.

Look, as a northerner, ive come to expect«good pizza» to be dominoes or papa johns down here outside of ATL. however, picassos is really the only acceptable place around. ive sampled them all and this place has the best pie. period. johnny d’s is ok but lacking in flavor. mellow mush is insanely over-priced. your pie is still a chain to me.

My question: why even bother claiming it’s New York style? Why subject yourself to that scrutiny? I didn’t expect to eat NY-style pizza in Columbus, and after dining at Picasso’s, I still haven’t. The name of the place inferring this pizza is a work of art is also a bit of a stretch. But it’s not bad pizza by any means. The dive-y interior lends itself to a faster service than a typical full-service restaurant, and the wealth of outside seating is a significant plus. Being able to order specialty slices by the slice was also a plus. The crust was odd. It was admirably thin, but then to make the heel they did a bit of a tri-fold type thing which was entirely unnecessary. They did seem to do a Parmesan-butter thing with the crust to jazz it up, though. I could have used a bit more of a sauce presence, and the whole milk mozzarella could have used an extra minute to brown in the oven. The crust, too for that matter, and while we’re on the subject, the flavor was well-seasoned, but there was little gluten to be found, making for a crust that had the complexity of a dinner roll — not bad, but not the chew you’re expecting to find. The difference between a cheese slice and a mergherita slice should be quite a bit different, but here it seemed a simple matter of adding some dried basil, roma tomatoes, and — oddly — butter. Because olive oil is too expensive? No one doesn’t like butter, however, and the more complex flavor of the slice was welcome, even if the extra fat did result in a drippy mess on my plate that looked like grease if you didn’t know any better. Pizza in Uptown Columbus — what are you going to do? It’s cheap, it’s relatively fast, and it’s open really late. Good enough.

Divey, 80’s rock, and a bit ratty, but in a loveable way. Being from out of town, I wasn’t expecting that I would find New York style pizza, and I didn’t. However, I did find some good bites, some tasty pizza, and a great place to celebrate a dear friend’s graduation from OCS. I wouldn’t give it as low of ratings as previous users. We all had a positive experience.

An authentic New York style pizza? Eh, not so much and while some of their pizza creations seem really creative and sound tasty but I stuck with the plain sausage, just to see what they could do with it. The sausage wasn’t Italian style, it seemed like chipped beef and was rather plain. Our server was slow, I agree with Cactus in saying that it was slow. Our pizza took time to make, understood but when we each had a slice you would think the turn around time would be quick. It took about 10 minutes to get our check and my friend wanted another soda but by the time our waiter came back he just wanted to leave. I guess it would be okay if you did carry out but other than that it’s just a place to avoid.
