The Uptown Tap

The Tap is a fun place to get a drink, nothing incredibly special EXCEPT for the outdoor space, which I love. The bartenders are pretty good. This is definitely more of a «college bar,» but I think anyone could find a good time here. My only wish is that they would actually use that great outdoor space for something more than a sub par DJ — let’s get some live music!

They play the same music every week. And when you request a song they don’t play it. DJ «the dude» is not a dj just plays whatever is on the list. However drinks are ok $ 4 for a beer and $ 5 for a mixed drink.

Decent place, but the real money maker here is the outdoor space. The DJs aren’t that good, but the music is loud, so what else do you really want in a club?
Drinks here are pretty strong, which is another saving grace about this place. However, they do have a cover sometimes ($ 5), and the wait staff are not exactly the most friendly. Would give 3.5 stars if I could.

Was here for the second time last night. A few reasons why I love this place. For one, they have a huge space outside where they can crank up the music and people have plenty of space to dance
The bartenders are attentive and there are several places that are more quiet and allow you to talk with friends.

It’s just a bar. Nothing terribly special about the place. Good outdoor space, though it’s a little weird getting in… and somewhat awkward.
With places like this, Columbus would benefit from an open-​container law similar to Savannah, GA. Lots of untapped potential in the downtown area of Columbus.

The Tap is one of the best bars in the Columbus area. The place can get crowded, but has a laid-​back ambiance. The bar staff serves quick and are friendly, drink prices are lower than other bars on Broadway, and they open the large patio during the Summer months. Overall, I suggest the Tap above all other bars on Broadway.

Best time I’ve been having in Columbus. Cute girls working the bar, cool bouncers, decent drink prices, and a good dj (usually) make the weekends damn fun. On a good night the inside and outside area is packed, and there’s a decent girl to guy ratio. (Being a military town there will never be a great girl to guy ratio) Seem to see more girls out on Saturdays, and apparently on the weekdays throughout the month they do special events like hot oil wrestling, wet tshirts contests, etc. Around the peak of the evening every weekend, girls will get on top of the inside bar (ala Coyote Ugly) and pour sugar liquor into adventerous drunkie’s mouths who lean their heads back onto the bar. How can you not have fun participating or watching your friend’s participate in that?!? The female staff also routinely have costume theme nights and make for some damn sexy firefighters, soldiers, jungle women, etc. Yeah there’s a pool table and a dart board I think, but if you go to this bar to hide in the corner and play pool, your a retard. It’s a good time and probably the best target rich environment for meeting someone. Avoid Mix and come here.
