I’ve been here once for lunch and once for dinner. The food is really very tasty. My last visit was for lunch, and I had the goat cheese burger, with a turkey burger instead of beef. Some places end up with really dry turkey burgers, but this one was perfect. The goat cheese sauce that they put on it was amazing. They did put way too much spinach on the burger, but that can be easily removed so I’ll forgive it. My table also had the buffalo chicken dip as an appetizer. It was good, but very similar to what I’ve made at home(the warm pita bread that the serve with it, though, omg, YUM). I had macaroni and cheese as a side, and it was also very yummy, you could tell that it was genuinely homemade. My negatives — it is a bit in the pricey side, not so much that I won’t go back, but enough for me to comment on it. The service was also on the slow side both times that I’ve visited.

I have eaten here a few times and the food is really good, I just think it’s a bit over priced. I’ve had both the meals and then just snacks when going to stand up on Thursday nights.

Probably my favourite place in Columbus; I’ve never ordered anything I didn’t like. They’re also very accommodating with my food allergy.

Was searching for some of Columbus’ best restaurants and stumbled across this place… and just had to check it out. Located in downtown Columbus in what is clearly the entertainment district of the area, The Loft seems to offer a good bar selection along with some decent food and tasty desserts. To start, our table ordered the shrimp tacos and while they were delivered quickly, there was nothing that stood out as special about them. The cabbage/slaw on top was a little heavy and would have been better balanced with a little more of that glaze they mentioned in the description, but overall it was a standard shrimp taco. I ended up ordering the Unstuffed Chicken, which seemed to be a favorite of most people and am I glad I did. I did opt to go with the cheese grits in lieu of the couscous, which I found to be a good choice. The chicken was moist and of decent portion, then covered in a creamy lemon butter and spinach sauce. The cheese grits were not as fancy, but they were just as tasty. I definitely recommend this dish! Overall, it was nothing too fancy or mind blowing, but I enjoyed my visit from«hello» to «thanks for coming». When I am back in the area, I will most certainly swing back in.

Not bad at all! The food is pretty good. The service is decent. The drinks are not bad. I have been to the loft several times and its always a good time. I had the pizzaburger last time and was pleasantly surprised. The wings are not good. Seems like any place that isn’t a greasy spoon in Columbus has terrible wings. I dont know!

It was highly suggested that Downstairs at the loft is the place to go lunch by the family I was visiting, and I am so glad I did. Being downtown it was a little difficult to find parking but it is worth going around the block a few times until you do. Nice décor with a musical flare. To my understanding this place becomes a great place for live music at night. Good selection of draft beers and I tried one of the local brewery beers that our server described perfectly. I just can’t remember the name. They have a full menu with specials that change on a daily basis. I ordered the tilapia with macaroni and cheese made with a white cheddar and sautéed spinach all for just 9 dollars. My step mother had the Portobello wrap drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Unilocal was completely right about this place. A must, next time I am in Columbus.

After living here for 2 years I finally got up the nerve to go here. Patrick, the bartender, was busy making complicated drinks but quickly finished to take care of me. My gimlet was absolutely perfect and my Caesar salad, phenomenal.

Good food, nothing too fancy or special. Good service, too loud to stay long. Try the pork chop and go for a desert. Music upstairs is always a nice finish to the evening

One of my favorite Columbus locations. Nice bar and table atmosphere plus a wonderful menu which occasionally changes. I’ve always had exceptional service and have never been disappointed with the food or drinks.

Came in for dinner while in town and the food was stellar, the spinach and mushroom was so tasty, red pepper hummus was a good one but not the best but the Ribeye was amazing. For a non-ribeye lover my sister lead me in the right direction. Come in and ask for Jessica L., she is very friendly, always came by to checked on us and one of the best waitresses I’ve had in a while. You won’t go wrong with this place.

This place is really good. Its in a nice building in the downtown area. It appears there’s plenty of parking on the street but even on a Tuesday night it was tough to find a spot close by. Inside its very nice if not fancy. The menu is pretty basic with lots of good things to choose from. Upstairs is a comedy club but I didn’t check it out. There aren’t comedy shows every night so if you plan on going to one check out the schedule first. Its pretty cosmopolitan for Columbus. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. I had the grilled shrimp with sides of white cheddar grits and the couscous. Everything was very good. I admit I’m a Yankee but I would say the grits were among the best Ive had and a bit lighter than many. For dessert I had the pecan pie a la mode. Again I’m a Yankee but the pie was good. They have a full bar and a basic wine list. The prices are reasonable for what you get. If you’re in Columbus I would definitely check this place out.

DIEDANDWENTTOHEAVEN… OMG… This is seriously one of the best restaurants I have ever been too. Service almost ruined it, but then it got better. All of us loved our food: Pork chop, fish, pasta, and chicken. Even the vegetables were heavenly! I would not hesitate to come back here if we ever visit Columbus again. Anyone I know that goes to Columbus, I will direct them to this place. GOGOGO!!!

Came here for dinner on a semi busy weeknight. Eye capturing exterior and intimate interior. The service at the bar was prompt and friendly. I received my drinks and their delicious, and super thick potato chips and french onion dip on a timely manner. If the chips came out fresh from the frier, that would’ve been simply too amazing. One of ky entrée’s sides, mashed potato, was pretty good. It wasn’t outstanding, yet it had a satiafying taste to it. However, the spinach remained to be lacking in the taste department. Lastly, the entrée itself, the tilapia with crab stuffing was absolutely delish. It tasted very fresh and had the right amount of spices.

The food is seriously good here, and not just for Columbus, as many other places in the area are. The service. well, lets just say they didn’t get 5 stars because of that. A friend recommended The Loft to me, so we decided to check it out. He said it gets really busy, so try the call ahead seating. That is exactly what I did. We got there 15 minutes after I called and was told our table would be ready shortly. No problem, we went to the bar got a beer, and as soon as I paid, the table was ready. Good deal! We were promptly seated… The bad news is, our server did not get to us until 5 minutes later. When she finally came around, I explained we had never been here before, and asked her what was good. She ignored that question, and went into the Salmon special… What? No, what is good here… the answer was everything… um? Also, I noticed that all the tables around me had an order of free homemade chips… but we didn’t.sad face… She apologized and said she would get them for us… yes, we got them 10 minutes later. Thanks to Unilocal,I read about the fried asparagus, and ordered that as an app, and also decided to try the Mediterranean dip thing… The asparagus was awesome, I would skip the med dip though. For an entrée I went with the Feta Burger with a side of the Mac and Cheeses. The burger was awesome and cooked to perfection, and the Mac and Cheese was the best I ever had. I will be back, but will try sitting in a different section.
