So good!!! If you are looking for a wide selection, delicious sushi and good service then go to this restaurant. We have been going here for years and it does not disappoint. We got a few specialty rolls and a futomaki and veggie roll. Yum!

Not my first choice in sushi… small rolls… hardly a choice for those who dont enjoy sushi and want a steak or chicken and rice meal. The service was prompt, which was nice… but was very unhappy with the quality of the small sushi roll for $ 6.

First time in, arrived a little after 5:30p and got a table to wait on my friend who arrived maybe 10 minutes later. Place had a few tables occupied, but was not busy. My friend ordered edamame and a sushi appetizer, i ordered the spicy sashimi salad. Then we decided to split a bottle of wine and ordered the petit sirah that was listed as maybe«mcwilliams» for $ 20. Received a bottle of Lindemans and told it was an upgrade from what they originally had on the menu. Returned it and told them definitely would not have ordered it if that was what was listed. Restaurant did get busier, but not until a good 15 minutes after we placed our order. Food took 40 minutes to come to the table and my friend received a sashimi appetizer instead of sushi, which she decided to go a head and eat. Upside — the food once received was good and they did not charge us for the wine. However, i’m writing this review because it was not a very smooth experience and we did have to change plans for the evening due to the delay.

I typically don’t eat sushi unless it’s close to the ocean but this place is legit. I visited and had the chef special and the teriyaki salmon. They’re both delightful and the staff is super friendly and attentive. I will be visiting again like lunch maybe :)

Throughout the weekdays, different restaurants have varieties of happy hour specials. Sushi Ko have their specials on Monday night. Seating at the bar for the first time, I enjoy watching the sushi chef make sushi. All the server is very nice and attentive. I would say Sushi Ko do have a variety of selection in term of both appetizers and sushi. The ingredients that they serve is pretty fresh. I would recommend the Spicy Salmon & Avocado Hand Roll to you if you never try a hand roll before.

Good value, and great tasting food. Wife and I met the owner who works hard to keep prices down and quality high. I feel this is one of the best sushi joints in the entire city. Give it a try!

1÷9÷16 Is Sushi Ko under new management? I was very disappointed by the sushi this visit. Not only was the taste sub-par, but the rolls are 50% smaller compared to my photo! The Dragon roll was pretty good, but just not the same. Also, we never got refills of our drinks(which was water!). They were fairly busy, but we weren’t even checked on during our visit. Sadly, we are probably not returning any time soon. This used to be my favorite sushi place!

Sushi Ko is a great sushi restaurant, the food is fresh and the service is exceptional. I couldn’t tell you all the rolls that I’ve had from this place but I would definitely suggest that you step out of your comfort zone and try a few. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The pricing is reasonable and if you go on Monday’s they have a «happy hour» special that is worth checking out. Customer Service: B+ Food: A Crab Rangoon A+ Ambiance: C+

My family of 4 had lunch today at Sushi Ko before going to the theater. The service was excellent and the food was some of the best sushi I have had in Columbus. My 10 yr old daughter can be a little finicky and wanted some cooked salmon, it was suggested she try the salmon with scallions on a stick– this was perfect for her and she loved it! The stuffed avocado appetizer was delicious. The sushi rolls were loved by all(Monster roll, Sushi Ko roll, and a couple others I can not remember the names) were all enjoyed and met my 8 yr old son’s approval. The gentleman who helped us box up our leftovers was polite and friendly(possibly the owner) and the lady who served us was informative, caring, and attentive. We will be coming back to dine here in the near future. Thank you Sushi Ko for making our family holiday lunch a perfect experience.

Great sushi joint! I’ve been here a handful of times, but just went back recently and it had been a few years. We went in on a Monday to take advantage of their sushi specials. I was impressed with the variety on their specials menu. There was an assortment of sushi rolls, appetizers and drinks too. The sushi was fresh and so good! I always have to try a scallop roll every sushi restaurant I go to, so we ordered their spicy scallops, which wasn’t on the specials menu. Warning. I love spicy food, but this roll was extremely spicy to the point that I wanted milk to help subside the burning in my mouth. But then another friend who eats hot sauce for a living tried a bite and didn’t seem fazed at all! Despite the extreme spiciness, the roll was good and included huge, full scallops. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their sushi menu!

I just love their sushi. I used to go there all the time, but since I moved down south I don’t get to go as much. I feel lile they are busy on lunch time, but you are usually still able to get a table. Their staff is helpful with the menu.

Love their Sushi! We had the Dragonroll, California Dream and a Philadelphiaroll for lunch. Basic rolls but they were just perfect for us. Sadly the service was kinda slow but everyone was friendly. I will definitely go back there some time.

Pros: Everything! This place is amazing all around. Cons: None. Maybe a bit expensive but I’m happy to pay the price for good sushi. Review: This is THEBEST sushi in columbus. My husband and I go here almost weekly, and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Their rolls are delicious and fresh, their cooked plates are amazing, and their prices are pretty average. Plus it’s right next to the movie theater so it makes for a great date spot for dinner and a movie!

I had been to Sushiko a few times years back so the place wasn’t new to me, even though I found out later that it had switched ownership. I had the«volcano» spicy tuna specialty roll this time, which turned out to be much better than most of the other sushi places I’ve had both in Ohio and New York. As an avid sushi lover, the freshness and quality of the tuna was the difference and had markedly improved since the last time I ate here. The rolls appeared to be bigger as well. I was able to engage in some small talk with new owner and found out that they get fresh shipments of fish 2 – 3 times a week which is pretty good compared to other places. Price is not cheap, nor is it as expensive as places like , so this place is probably more for sushi enthusiasts more so than casual sushi eaters or those looking for promotions(they do have some on Mondays). Now they seem to be targeting patrons who are more picky about their sushi and fish. Which I can’t say is necessarily a bad thing if you are getting high quality sushi.

Good atmosphere, excellent service. I was surprised to see Bulgogi on the menu at a Japanese Restaurant. I went for it. Best I have ever had. Large portion, well spiced and not greasy. I will have to return on my next stay on Columbus.

I’ve come by for lunch a couple of times so far. For my first visit, I tried one of their weekday lunch specials, and although I don’t remember what exactly I ordered(it was a while ago), I remember coming away feeling like it had been good but not standout(hence the not remembering). But more recently, I returned and ordered from the fancy roll menu, getting a King Kong roll: shrimp tempura and cucumber on the inside, seared albacore tuna, avocado, jalapeño, and tobiko on the outside, and topped with some kind of sauce. To balance out with something a little different and a bit more standard, I got a spicy tuna hand roll, as well. Both were delish, and the server kept my cup of tea filled and hot. Good sushi just makes me crave more, and I really wanted more. While those lunch specials look really good next to the standard prices(I easily spent twice as much on those two rolls this time as I did on one roll and a selection of nigiri last time), and you might have to wilfully ignore their call if you focus too much on the cost, I don’t regret having strayed from the specials this time.

Good, solid pick for sushi in a Midwestern landlocked state. We were staying at the Sheraton across the street when my craving hit. Checked Unilocal and decided to give it a go. I ordered carryout two days in a row. I found the service to be fine. The workers were not rude but not overly accommodating or generous in the smiles department. The craftsmanship of the rolls could be better, some of the pieces were falling apart. I wasn’t too worried about it though, since they tasted great and the price point was right. I had the Spicy Tuna, Red Dragon and the Ninja rolls. I think the Ninja was my favorite followed closely by the Red Dragon roll. Solid and safe pick for good sushi if youre in the area.

I am always game to try another sushi restaurant. I tend to judge Japanese restaurants by how well they measure up to Akai Hana, just be warned. So far nobody has quite measured up. This one gets 3 stars. It was good. It wasn’t spectacular. I’d gladly go back. They had a very wide array of interesting-looking house rolls. But I always order miso soup at a Japanese restaurant as a bit of a test. This one was just adequate. It didn’t taste terribly homemade. I also ordered hot tea; I have never not been given a pot and a cup when ordering tea at a sushi restaurant, here I received one mug of tea. I had the fantasy roll, a roll featuring several fish and soy paper instead of seaweed. It was very good. The sushi itself was okay. It was a little pricey, but I hesitate to criticize any sushi restaurant in the Midwest for prices — who’d trust cheap sushi in Ohio? I’m sure I’ll be back, if only because it’s next door to the Marcus Theater and $ 5 Tuesday movie night. I do recommend it, but don’t expect to be blown away by revolutionary sushi.
