Really good. Eclectic menu but really tasty. Beer selection is excellent! Definitely worth a return.

This place is a bit out of the way for me… or really anyone, unless you happen to live in Linworth. So I hadn’t really considered dining here before. Actually, I’d always thought that a BBQ place occupied this building(I guess it used to be a Hoggy’s?), so I didn’t even realize that it’d turned into a brewpub until Dining for Miles pointed this place out for me. So I finally made my way out to The Crafty Pint 2 weekends ago, and was pleasantly surprised. The beer list wasn’t as large as other brewpubs, but had some real gems among them including the hard-to-find Bell’s Hopslam. Two thumbs up for that. They also had a smoked gose by Destihl that was excellent. For food I ordered the Crafty Burger, which was good. Nothing to rave about, but it was a solid burger. Getting chips on the side by default and needing to pay extra to «upgrade» to french fries when you’re already paying $ 13 for a burger though is really weak. My previous go-to gastropub in Columbus had been the Crest Gastropub in Clintonville. They have a much larger beer selection than The Crafty Pint… but their food menu is limited compared to The Crafty Pint’s. They both have horrible parking, and neither of them are particularly conveniently located for me. At this point, I’d give the Crest a slight advantage since they do have a superior happy hour(½ off ALL drafts versus ½ SELECT drafts) and let’s be honest, we go to gastropubs more for their drinks than their overpriced food. I really wish Unilocal would let me do half points, because I’d say this place is 3.5 stars. But in honor of them having the Hopslam, I’ll round up to 4 stars.

Stumbled upon this place by accident and I’m super happy about it. They’ve nail everything I’ve eaten in my two visits. The sweet potato fries with duck bacon are different but worth trying. Coconut like shrimp rival even the most«authentic» taste and styling I’ve ever had. Sweet pickle fries? Sweet pickle fries!!! They are awesome! They have a house hot sauce that you can put on them and it’ll slay your tastebuds in the best way possible. Prices are worth admission and their beer selection is on point. Thumbs ups!

Came in here the other day for lunch. The bartender/waitress was Shelby(I believe). She did a great job. Super friendly, made suggestions at our request, and was overall on top of things. I tried the grilled chicken sandwich. It had a different name(chicken marasco I think). It was fricken’ amazing. My buddy ordered the short rib grilled cheese sandwich and also said it was awesome. Really good beer selection and decent atmosphere. We came in during the midweek lunch hour, so it wasn’t really busy. The layout of this place is a bit odd, but it’s got a nice, rustic feel. The bar area only has a few tables in it and it seems like it could be a cramped, high traffic area. Although we didn’t get to see it, there was a large covered porch area that seems like it would be a cool place to hang year round. Definitely would give this place another go if I’m back in the area.

Hoggies is a chain I miss, at least in its younger days when it brought the goods; it fell with the economic cluster-f 2008, and this spot swayed in the wind since here near the tracks Lenworth. Now the Crafty Pint has set up shop in its ruins, two years now, a divvy flat with loads of creative beer on tap. It was my first trip here. It has the solid approval of the Politburo of Nomenclature, the authority deciding authenticity of biz name which I have anointed myself as soul member, as it does have a host of interesting local crafts. I put down a cold Sweetwater Session and a delicious Heavy Seas Tropicannon Tropical Fruit IPA in short order. The latter tasted close to grapefruit juice laced with ale. The bartender was happy to give me samples and impressed with her knowledge of the drafts. Only an early day upcoming prevented me from bottoming multiple glasses of top brews and other fancy cervazas. If it was for the draft choices and service than this place is five stars all the way. Food brings it down to three, three and a half, so I’ll go with four. It is not that the food is bad, my burger hit the spot, but comparing the comp these days makes rating a stingy chore. I had the hangover Burger which presents with double patties, Barvarian ham, and sunny side up egg. The gouda cheese and bayou mayo were its strongest parts. The burgers themselves were mediocre, lacking substance(my ordering it well done may have factored in here as many places assume a lesser cooking when creating a dish.) I will applaud the fries here, they were fresh cut Grecian orgies in my mouth; best bar fries I have had in town outside of Thurman’s Avenue. The designs of Hoogies still exists here. The grey paneled walls with the simulated barn wood. The divvy floor. The place is comfortable with lots of lighting. It’s a decent place to chill when on West Dublin-Granville Road. The menu list a few Brunch items for Saturday, Sunday so I’ll be back to try that soon.

Great atmosphere and they have TVs but the food is a little different. My husband got the wings from the Starters menu and said they were the best wings he’s had in his entire life. :) I had the fried fish tacos and really wasn’t a big fan. They use walleye, which I haven’t had in fish tacos before. They were dry and the corn salsa topping was just mediocre. Our friend order the half chicken and it was no joke — half a chicken. Not much flavor and he compared it to a rotisserie chicken from Kroger. The fries that came with the chicken were delicious! Not sure that we’ll go back soon but it was a fun place to meet a friend for dinner on a Friday night.

My first visit to The Crafty Pint and I was pleasantly surprised. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but CP definitely exceeded expectations. The slightly rustic interior was warm and inviting. It was the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed Friday dinner. The beer selection is extensive and plenty of the items on the food menu sound delicious. I opted for the cinnamon raisin bread club sandwich, which sounds like an odd combo but actually works really well in reality. I thought the slightly sweet bread played nicely with the savory sandwich guts. And the sweet potato fries were perfect; warm and crispy. My friend and I were intrigued by the butternut squash cake, so we opted to split it for dessert. Definitely reminiscent of carrot cake flavors. While it was tasty, it would have been even better if it had been served warm.(And Crafty Pint, if you’re listening, please serve it with a fork slightly larger than that reserved for a tea party.) Service was better than good, but not quite stellar. Overall, I was extremely impressed by my first visit to CP. I will definitely make it a point to go back!

Overall, the food at this pub is hit or miss, but the beer selection, staff, and environment more than make up for it. I ordered the pork tacos and was disappointed: the meat was the only thing relatively warm and overall the taste was not there. But the salsa verde, chips, and guac were amazing! The waitress was really understanding and gave us tons of chips and salsa to make up for me not liking the tacos. My fiancé and I had a few cocktails and a couple of craft beers. I loved that most of the options were local and the staff was really knowledgeable. On each table, there were stacks of trivial pursuit cards from the 80s(multiple USSR references) that kept us entertained while waiting. The found object theme continued with the check being handed to us in an old Dr Seuss book. It was heavily graffitied and very charming.

Why? Why am I here? Because my friend wanted to come here and I didn’t have the balls to say no. Well here we are and I tried to keep an open mind. The beer list is pretty decent. At least they had one of my local favorites on tap. The service was nice and friendly. The waiting time for the food? A tad too long. It seemed to take forever. The food? It was meh. I had the burger. Asked for medium got well done. I didn’t say anything because I generally don’t do that. The bacon jam and liquid cheese combo was just odd. It was sweet for some reason which wasn’t what I wanted. The chips and guacamole side though was pretty good. This place is just trying way too hard to be something that it isn’t. I can’t decide if they just aren’t getting the hint or are actually trying to be this way. It seems as though they are a chain restaurant trying to be like an independent local place, but they aren’t a chain. I’m so confused by this place. Side note — there were many families here and they seem to cater to that crowd. Maybe that’s why I don’t like it.

The Crafty Pint has so much squandered potential. It’s a divey bar with a fantastic beer selection. Unfortunately, the times I’ve been there it’s been nearly empty, and both visits were Saturday nights. The music system at the Crafty leaves a lot to be desired and they play a local radio station over the speakers. You’d think they’d at least use Pandora. Another way the Crafty would be good is if they got some decent bands in. That’d draw in the crowd. Until they make some changes their business will remain slack. What a shame.

I’m a fan of the Crafty Pint! We’ve been a few times and I love the cocktails! My favorite is the Effen Vodka Mule. Whenever we’ve been there, it hasn’t been very busy, so our service has always been attentive. My favorite things that we’ve tried on the menu are the Maryland Style crabcakes — large enough to be an entrée! The mussels, Blueberry & Goat Cheese flat bread — awesome combo! and the Stacked Short Rib Grilled Cheese. My most favorite part about the Crafty Pint is that their sandwiches come with fried pickles instead of fries. Yummm!

What a pleasant surprise! We had never been here before but have passed it a ton of times. Came in and enjoyed their cocktail menu. Had the«Effen Vodka Mule» and infused drink. Excellent! Now, I don’t like wings at all. Something about meat off the bone mixed with grease, no thanks. But my better half ordered their wings and they were outstanding!!! I had 4!!! Sweet honey BBQ sauce. The best part is that wings are smoked for 4 hours and literally fall off the bone!!! Awesome! We ordered the grilled cheese with short ribs which was so glutinously awesome! Crunchy toast, scrumptious cheese, and great short ribs! Love the ambiance, the bandana napkins are so fun, and great service by Drew! He recommended various drinks and food which was so helpful! I highly recommend this place! Stop by, enjoy a beverage, delicious food, and have a totally fun time!!!

This place is a solid 3 stars. Would I go back? Probably not. Was it the worst ever? No, definitely not. It was just really mediocre. For every good thing, there was an element that wasn’t. I think ultimately the concept of The Crafty Pint is cool — but the execution just wasn’t there tonight. Atmosphere: Quirky/rustic and cute. Some people like drinking from mason jars. I don’t. Service: Attentive. Though there was seemingly only one server and we felt kind of rushed. Food: The menu looks great(great beer list too!). You read it and think, «that sounds good. Ooh that sounds good. that too!» But we found that with both of our dishes that they just were… lacking. Again, I think it comes down to execution. We ordered pretzel bread and that was surprisingly delicious — the 3 sauces were really tasty. Especially the tangy mustard. The meatloaf sandwich was texturally a mush wad. Overly sauced, overly cheesed, just so much mush. Boyfriend said that the short ribs in his grilled cheese were bland and that he preferred the bits without short rib. Overall, I just wanted to like this place so much more than I actually did.

I’m really torn on this place. For one, they have a pretty good beer selection and they’re all reasonably priced(especially their happy hour deal which applies to ALL drafts and flights). Their appetizers here have also been pretty good. If you order one thing I highly suggest the mussel frites. It’s an order of fries covered with a garlic butter sauce with a bunch of mussels. Mix the fries in with the sauce and it’s crazy flavorful. My one issue with this place is the entrees. I’ve been here a few times and my entrée each time has been very meh. I got the burger last time and it was dry and flavorless. And the sauce they put on the burger far overwhelms the flavors which I think is to mask the fact that their beef is not great quality. I also have tried the fish and chips here which were overly oily and not very flavorful either. The dessert here has been good in he past so if you have room spring for that. Not sure if I’d be back, but if you’re looking for a good happy hour spot to grab an appetizer and a beer this is a nice option.

We had high hopes for this place. Tonight was our second visit here. The first visit(a few months ago) was just a small bite at the bar and a couple of drinks. It was good and the service was great so we decided to come back. Upon ordering tonight we were told the cornmeal croutons were out for my salad and then when ordering the chefs choice gazpacho– it was also out. Our server helped us decide on the crab cakes for a light dinner. They were covered with a heavy, overly sweet caramel sauce that overtook our palates. We both agreed that a thinner sauce with an acidic compliment would have been much better. And at $ 12 I didn’t feel we got a very good value. For a positive, our sever was great and very attentive and friendly. I’m not sure we will be back…

I pass this restaurant on my way to work almost every day, so thought I would try it out last night with my partner. To start, we ordered chips and guacamole. The guac was actually pretty good and the salsa verde was okay, but were treated to a strainer of stale tortilla chips. My actual meal was their Crafty Burger. Although, I ordered a medium rare burger, the order came out with absolutely no pink in the middle. The«bacon jam», ordered on the side, made me gag. The fried pickles were okay, though. Overall, the food was not good, but the hokey atmosphere brought back images of the worst chain restaurants trying to be a hipster oasis. The napkins were bandanas, room temperature tap water was served in mason jars, and the check came in a Dr. Seuss book. Uninspired food and ridiculous, «trying too hard» atmosphere. Two stars.

The Crafty Pint is my new ultimate spot for great food & beer. We had heard of this place nearly a year ago & finally went — I nearly cried on the way home because we had missed out for so long. We got wings(split half buffalo and half bbq), they were both superb! However, if you split — try the buffalo first because the bbq is VERY flavorful. We also split eh Crafty Buger and a hot chicken sandwich with the best bacon I’ve ever had. We paired them with both fried and fried pickles. The fries were phenom, and fried pickles are always wonderful! We had beer, then more beer topped off with another beer. The bar staff was amazing! They talked to us in length about their beers and the menu, mad recommendations and also steered us away from things we may not like after talking with us for a few. That was greatly appreciated! We left fat and happy. We plan to do so many times more.

Ended up coming here due to other restaurant being too busy on a Friday. The location was small but trendy in a way. The place had a good atmosphere with friendly staff. Ordered the flat bread and was very impressed how delicious it was. The burger and fries pickle for a dollar extra was disappointing. It was okay but not good. The rustic flatbread was defiantly the only reason why I would come back. Service was okay until she stopped checking on us after we received our meals. Took a long time to get our checks and cashed it out.

I finally got the chance to check out the Crafty Pint on Friday night, and it was pretty packed. I used to live down the street, so I had fond memories of the spot as Hoggy’s. I also forgot the kind of nightmare that parking lot is once it gets busy, so more than likely you’ll have to park in the copy center lot next store. Luckily, it seems the parking lot is just too small for the restaurant itself, and we were seated right away. It didn’t really start off on a high note for us as it took about 10 minutes or so for our server to take our drinks orders from the time we were seated. She was nice, but we didn’t see a whole lot of her for most of the meal. We started out with an order of the wings, because people have said they’re great. While the chicken and BBQ sauce were pretty good, half the wings were cold at the bone. The wings are smoked first, and they were cooked all the way through, so I’m guessing they didn’t grill them for too long before bringing them out. That was kind of a bummer, but the flavor was spot on. For the main course, the server suggested the stacked short rib grilled cheese, which is what I was looking at trying anyway, and the girlfriend had the beer battered cod. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with my dish. The short rib was okay, or at least what there was of it, but it was pretty much dominated by bread. I guess I didn’t put two and two together that stacked meant three pieces of bread, and I was left with a whole bunch of bread with no toppings by the end. The flavor was pretty average. Also, they serve fried pickles with all of the sandwiches, and they tasted pretty good, but a lot of them were soggy and didn’t have the crispiness you’d expect with a fried pickle. My girlfriend really liked her cod, and I thought it was actually pretty tasty, so there was some upside. The curly fries that came with it were just okay. I don’t know if I’ll be making the trek back here any time soon. I don’t usually give out low ratings, but the quality of the food we had on top of the price we paid just didn’t do it for me. I left pretty disappointed with the meal, and I haven’t done that in awhile. I’m always willing to give a place a second chance though, so if Crafty Pint hangs on at this location(unlike it’s predecessors) then I’m sure at some point, I’ll make it back again.

My friend described the décor as «Pinterest threw up» and seeing the other reviews — everyone definitely feels the«Pinterest» vibe here. I popped in on New Year’s Day for a late lunch — and they had a sign — «Closing early New Year’s Day!» That was it. No hours, no «at 4pm» — nothing. Walked in, was seated, put in a drink order — then they informed that they were closing at 4pm — this was at 3:30pm «…you may have seen the sign…» — yes, the sign with no time? Saw it. Thanks. The food — not bad. The beer selection — good. The service? Good(despite the whole timing snafu — I’m pretty sure he was supposed to be off, and probably was working during a post-NYE hangover). All in all, it’s not on my list of «we gotta go back!» but when I want something a little different, I will try to remember it(as I barely remembered it the first time). So I’m *hoping* to be back, but nothing about it said«OMGGETTHEGANGANDGETHERE!»
