Some of the best sushi I’ve eaten and the service was stellar too. We had the tempura veggies and egg rolls for an splitter and they were both great. I can’t remember what sushi rolls we ordered but we took the advice of our waiter and he was spot on. I should go next door to The Big Dog Running store and run on the treadmill.

Wasabi is the first sushi place I’ve been to that looks like a cross between a traditional sushi restaurant and a Buffalo Wild Wings. There’s a full bar with three big screens right next to the main seating area, and the whole place has a «neon» jazz feel to it. But their attempt to be trendy is a little confusing for the average person looking for good sushi. Would this place be good for raw fish or chicken wings?
I ordered some of their chef’s special roles and I noticed that their presentation was a little lacking. The special rolls, which average $ 10 – 14, looked squished and hastily made. The tuna/fish in the rolls tasted ok, but there was only a small amount and the freshness was not quite up to par. There were only 6 – 8 small pieces for each special roll. No other sides are offered as service. Most other sushi restaurants provide Miso soup and some rice. For the amount and quality given, I think Wasabi overcharges by at least $ 2 – 3.

Okay… WOW!!! Totally unexpected from a strip mall sushi place in Columbus GA.
I eat a lot of sushi all over the world, and without exaggeration, I just had a chirashi plate that is by far the most unique I’ve ever seen and tasted, and in my top 3 sushi meals anywhere!
Perfectly prepared fish, served at perfect temperature. Rice with just enough stickiness to hold its form without being glue-like. Fun and unique additions to plate… Pairing tuna with jalapeño and asparagus, and octopus with kiwi fruit. I could even smell the real kombu and bonito in their dashi stock.
A well earned 5-stars! Come and experience what great sushi/sashimi should taste like!
