This place was the best, and was a really convenient place to pick up Asian goodies when in the area. They had novelty Asian snacks and tons of Japanese goods. Although I’m sad that this Concord location is closed, this store is going to relocate to Berkeley! They will reopen on Telegraph and will be right next to the university!

This place has improved since the past couple times I have been here. I came by because I was having Japan withdrawals, ended up getting some candy and chocolate that I didn’t find in Japan oddly. They have a variety of candy, snacks, frozen treats, and ramen that you just add water to. There are also a lot more plusher and animé like toys and collectibles. The store is definitely more organized that before. The old woman helping me(owner?) was super friendly and polite just like it was in Japan, very hospitable.

My daughter loves all Asian junk food. We usually get our supply of goodies from Ranch 99. Strangely enough this place was not more expensive like I thought it would be. The prices of some stuff was less than at Ranch 99. They even had two types of Pocky/Pretzl I had never seen. The Sweet corn flavor Pretzl was delicious. It was like sweet buttered corn on the cob. They even have single serve Mochi. We found an interesting Animé mouse pad where the female characters boobs were the part where your wrist rests, only in Japan. The store was clean. The employees nice and helpful. Stop in and try some goodies.

Nice little addition the the mall. As much as I really can’t stand the Sun Valley Mall, convenience reasons is what brings me in from time to time. Now, J-Town is nothing comparable to a store you would see in Japantown in the city, but they certainly come equipped with a decent selection of savory and sweet treats, as well as some cute little knick knacks. Service was there. Got some little treats. Gave me a little perk for the day :) Will certainly stop by again on one of my convenience crusades.
