I work in the mall and this is my favorite place to eat in the mall!!! The food is always good quality. The staff is wonderful! Andrew, the manager creates a fun welcoming environment while maintaining fast quality service. There is also a young man by the name of Will, he makes the best burger. It’s out out of this world. From the many times I eat here I’ve noticed the staff takes pride in what they do and it’s very rare these days to find a place like this one. If your in the mall I highly recommend eating here, you won’t be disappointed in your experience.

I was a 1st timer here at Johnny Rockets and let me tell you it was a great experience and such great food and such a wonderful waitress. Would really recommend this spot if you like burgers and would like to get your moneys worth.

Customer Services was great!, but the food wasn’t all that great, I got the original burger and it didn’t meet my expectation. I expected a gourmet burger, but I think In & Out burger is better lol. We wont come back.

I was in the Concord area here around lunch time, so I get out the Unilocal and give a quick search and I find a Johnny Rocket’s. I’ve been to these restaurants before, and had a great experience, so here I am. The insides of these restaurants all look about the same with the 50’s diner look red and white motif. I get seated at a booth. I’m just by myself this time. I kinda know the menu already, it’s the same at all the Johnny Rocket’s. I get just water to drink as I’m in the middle of my day and still suppose to be working. I go with an old standby, pastrami burger. What I do like about all Johnny Rocket’s is the endless fries… yeah I could have gotten a salad with my burger… but I didn’t. I did get a refill on my fries though… well gotta with all you can est fries! Food arrives in short order on the same little plate. That’s just one of my little complaints are the plate sizes. The burger is wrapped in paper halfway and gives me something to grab on to without getting my hands all greasy. YUM! My first bite into my burger. It’s all tasty and good. I think Johnny Rocket’s is one of the forgot about places for good decent food for a decent price. There aren’t as many locations as some bigger chains, and I think each is franchised by a local owner, but the taste is all the same as far as I’ve experienced. Check out Johnny Rocket’s as an alternative to all the regular places for lunch.

Came here last night with my cousins after shopping for makeup and I must say I have nothing bad to say about this place. Bernize is the best server! Very nice and accommodating, always smiling. I ordered Route 66 and Bacon Tator Tots and it was delicious. If you pay an extra 2 dollars, the fries is unlimited. Place is neat and clean. You get to pick your own seating arrangement. Food comes out in a timely matter. Definitely coming back

My waiter was very nice. My cheese burger was decent. Nothing special but it wasn’t bad. I ordered a chocolate milkshake. It was so liquified it was like chocolate milk. We complained and it was removed from the bill. The manager lacked good customer service. The ambiance of the restaurant is always great. It makes you feel like you are in the 50s. The chefs are always singing and it’s cute. The last 2 times I’ve been there I’ve had issues(with customer service and/or food).

My family and I come here almost every week. It all started with their«kids eat free» deal, on Thursdays. They haven’t had that deal for a while, but the great customer service keeps us coming back. The staff is amazing, the food is great, and the atmosphere is very family friendly. After that we walk off the food taking a lap around the mall, it makes for a good quick family outting.

This was my 1st in many years eating here. After a long and disappointing experience at the picture people me and my husband decided to go eat dinner here. While service was great I have to say the food wasn’t. I have no complaints as far as service. They were very friendly and quick to service to their best. Very accommodating staff. The food however wasn’t all that. My chicken tenders were over cooked and my sons hot dog was wrapped in bread. Which was ok I guess since flavor was too bad but there was nothing great about it. Grilled cheese tastes like a basic home or elementary grilled cheese sandwich. My husbands burger however was good he says. My guess is to stick with the burgers if you eat here. Most of the items are pretty basic or less tasting. Don’t think it was worth the money

I used to work in the Concord mall almost 10 years ao and the customer service is still the best, Ignacio my server has the most positive energy and he is a true unique character. The food and menu has upgraded also and is better than before. Me and my friends that have been eating here for years eat here just because of my amigo with the world class service! He deserves the MAX and needs to open his own Johnny Rockets!

I work in the mall, and have made a routine of eating at Johnny Rockets several times a week due to their consistent quality and outstanding service. Alejandro, Andrew, and their whole team do an outstanding job, and deserve recognition from the company for it. Even when it’s totally hectic in there I always see smiles among the employees, absolutely outstanding attitudes all around.

I came here yesterday because I had a coupon for a free entrée. We came in and sat at the counter since there weren’t any open tables. Our server, Hugo, quickly got us menus and water. We ordered the Houston burger and a plate of fries to share. The burger was delicious; spicy as promised, fresh veggies, and the burger itself was delicious and juicy. When Hugo brought our fries, he drew smiley faces with the ketchup bottle in the ketchup bowls. We were expecting the free-entrée coupon to only cover the cost of the burger, but they ran the coupon and we were somehow left with a $ 0.67 bill. Hugo gave us back our card since the bill was under $ 1.00, which we appreciated. Overall we were very impressed with our helpful and friendly server, Hugo, and the delicious food we enjoyed. Thanks for the great experience!

We have eaten here many times and decided to stop by for a treat after a play at the local college. Only two other patrons in the restaurant and thought we would get quick service. After waiting 10 minutes went up to counter to place our order. Food arrived and ketchup smiley faces accompanied our food. However, my chicken was medium rare(pink and cold) in middle and was sent back and a new one properly cooked in its place. My son only ate ½ the burger because they coated the bun with pickles and relish. All in all it was a sad meal that had no real flavor or ambience of a diner. Too bad… we always liked this establishment. Maybe they will get back to customer service where they used to excel. 2 stars for recooking my chicken…

As a long time customer of this specific location, and a former mall employee, I have watched Johnny Rockets Concord go from nostalgic«50s Diner» complete with Décor and fully functioning Jukeboxes, to total and complete disaster, with a «presto» system that charges you way more for songs and Games! The music is not true to the era like it used to be, the dancing is minimal and I don’t get the same vibe I used to here. Management, the employees and the food are the ONLY reason I continue to frequent this establishment. If it wasn’t for Andrew, William, Benny and Amanda, I wouldn’t frequent here anymore. Bring back the old Johnny Rockets and you’ll get a 5 star rating that you desperately deserve!

I honestly can’t remember if I have ever been to a Johnny Rockets before, but the second I sat down at the counter it immediately felt familiar. The waitress(Kara) who took care of me was extremely attentive and incredibly friendly and I definitely hope to have her as my waitress again for any future visits. I really liked the vibe that the staff was putting out. All of the employees looked and sounded like they were having a great time. The guys working the grill were constantly busting out in song and just cracking each other up. I loved it! I ordered an Original hamburger, added unlimited fries which was worth it, and a Hershey’s® Chocolate Shake. The Original hamburger doesn’t have all of the flair and extra ingredients that their other hamburgers on their menu have and I think that it’s simplicity makes it great. The fries were very tasty and complemented my milkshake very well. I actually really like to dip my fries into my shakes, may sound weird, but trust me it is amazing. The milkshake was very rich and I felt like I did get my moneys worth. The food here is reasonably priced and you can get a lot without having to pay a lot. I sat at the bar, because I was alone and didn’t want to be a jerk and take up a whole table to myself. I am glad I sat at the bar because they have this cool trivia game that you can play while you are eating for an extra $ 1.99 that is added to your bill. They also have the old school tiny jukeboxes at the bar and tables, I am not 100% if they work because I didn’t try it out. This restaurant is located near the entrance that has Subway outside.

Food was good. We had a Reeses milk shake, a burger, a chili dog, and a grilled cheese. There was two of us. Not three, or four, or ten. Two. We ate everything. It was delicious. You may be asking yourself: «But, Rich „Mister Insurance“ P. why a three star review?» That’s a great question, reader. A really great question. There’s a good reason for it. 1. Service. It was slow. And when it came, it forgot pleasantries. I said«Hi, how are you.» to which my response was? «Oreo Shake, got it.» Way to assume the sale, but no. I wanted to be polite. It took my asking how the server was three times — three — before they understood what I was saying. Even the guy behind me knew what I was saying. 2. Music. This 50’s diner themed restaurant has tablets to order music. No more, «Hey, let’s put a quarter in the juke-box.» Now it’s done on an iPad. And the music selections, you might ask? Well, they’re now playing Katy Perry, Hillary Duff, and Taylor Swift. When did any of those artists play music in the 50s? Let’s stick to The Platters, The Monkeys, Aretha Franklin, and the like. 3. And this is really the big one — I can look past the first two — The manager. He was clearly upset/angry/flustered. I mean, I get what it’s like to work with difficult people, but that’s your job as the manager. You suck it up, and do the job with a smile on your face — while training these garbage employees how to do their job. It honestly stressed me out watching this guy. I wish I were joking, but it’s really all I could think about while waiting/eating.

It’s hard to remember a time before Johnny Rockets occupied that cozy corner of Sun Valley Mall! Just like that old mall though, Johnny and his cohorts can be counted on for a tasty and affordable meal every time. Not to mention a wonderful dose of 50s nostalgia, whether you were alive in the 50s or not. Modern times have creeped in(songs on the jukebox include Beach Boys or Bobby Darin AND Thomas Dolby or Cyndi Lauper), but they are still a welcoming diner with levels of service that more modern places could learn a lot from. I’ve been to this Johnny’s a trillion times, and I am a slave to their chicken tenders. 5 tenders fried up perfectly, served with a side of ranch for dipping — absolute heaven, that meal is about as happy as my inner fat kid gets! Alongside an order of their Half Fries & Half Rings, pair it with a Cherry Coke — all is right with the world. Is there any problem a ketchup happy face can’t solve? On my most recent visit, BF and I enjoyed an early lunch so we sat at the counter and received great attentive service from a couple of servers and I believe the manager. One of our servers looked like Captain America — young, blond, clean-cut with the nicest disposition I’ve ever heard out of a server, just TONS of friendly personality hellbent on hospitality. I wish I had gotten his name, this guy should be hosting seminars! We both noticed how CLEAN this joint is — the wall behind the stove and the tent above the flattop were sparkling clean. All the food prep was immaculate, and the main cook working the flattop wore gloves while handling raw meat — bravo! The whole staff here is a great team working in unison to finalize orders, and our food came out quickly and perfectly cooked. The onion rings left a bit of oil on their plate, though they didn’t taste greasy at all. The only thing I missed? I do remember they used to hand you a few nickels when you placed your order to choose some songs on the little jukeboxes, but I suppose some traditions can’t last forever. Tasty diner food, prepared simply and properly — I can’t wait to see you next time!

It has been at least 16 years since I’ve visited a Johnny Rockets. Nothing against the place. I’ve just never felt the desire to go there, until Saturday. Terri and I came here for lunch around noon. We took a seat at the counter and went through the menu. A fairly simple menu with a good range of options including a build your own burger. We both ordered Coke with a shot of cherry. Seriously the best cherry coke you will ever have. That shot of cherry added instead of already mixed in makes all the difference in the world. They have quite a good selection of sides from regular fries, to chili cheese fries. We were actually in the mood for onion rings so we went for a half and half plate. Half rings, half fries. Our server Ygnacio came over with the plate and two paper bowls on top. With a bottle of ketchup he drew smiley faces in both the bowls. The onion rings didn’t have to much color to them which scared me at first, but man are they amazing. Both the fries and rings were straight out of the fryer, so they are super fresh and hot. I ordered the Houston burger, which has pepperjack cheese, jalapenos, and a special spicy sauce, as well as lettuce and tomato. Watching them cook the burgers is interesting. They start with a thick round of ground beef and sear it for a minute or so, then flatten the hell out of it with a spatula. I know the rule when making burgers is generally don’t flatten the burger, but a place like this that’s been doing it for years, I think it’s OK. Plus the burger tasted pretty great anyways. The meat was good, but the real winner was the combination of the jalapenos, sauce and the burger itself. Just awesome, and very juicy to say the least. The food is one half of Johnny Rockets. The other half being the atmosphere. The place looks like a 50’s diner, sounds like one with some great classics playing, and the staff are just amazing. I could hear Ygnacio humming and singing along to the music. I noticed another server talk with his customers in a manner that just screams 50’s hospitality. Johnny Rockets isn’t just about coming for a good burger. It’s about coming for a good time, and that’s what you get.
