I first discovered Jollibee overseas and immediately fell in love with their unique and diverse menu. I love that this place has many familiar items on their menu like fried chicken, burgers, and hotdogs, but also appreciate that they carry less than standard food choices like spam and corned beef sandwiches and Spaghetti. I was super excited that Concord has a location right off Diamond, but was hesitant to try it because I was concerned about consistency issues, but as soon as I walked in, those concerns were quickly satiated. It was a dead giveaway that this place was doing things right, it was Andrew Zimmern who once suggested to eat where lines are longest, and he was absolutely right, because this place was packed out the door and was super delicious.

I was too nervous to eat my chicken after I left… PLEASEWATCHTHEMMAKEYOURFOODTHEYHAVEANEXTRATRAYOFCHICKENSITTINGOFFTOTHESIDEFORTHECUSTOMERSTHEYDONTLIKE. Extremely rude staff… Their main focus was talking to one another laughing and joking. rice and gravy and Peach mango pie pretty good tho. But I definitely won’t be going back.

I was and always have been patronizing Jollibee foods since back in the Philippines. It would have been a different experience if the manager was more keen to providing best customer experience rather than saving a few cents for the business. It would have been better also if there a signage or advise that you now charge .27 cents for extra gravy, that the ratios now is 2 chicken to 1 gravy. And the date when it was actually effective. But, how is it 2:1 ratio? I’d like to understand. Anyway, the manager could have been more extending rather than just agreeing and taking back all orders placed to hold off on for just 1 gravy. Btw, I wouldn’t have complained if I didn’t have a different experience with another branch. That was after January 1st as i was told the charging stsrted, just same i ordered 2 pc chicken asked extra gravy and didn’t ask to pay for it. It’s not always how the food is, it is also how you treat your guests that matters.

After seeing Anthony Bourdain visit a Jollibee in Koreatown in my hometown in Los Angeles yesterday, I just had to check it out and lucky for us, we have one nearby in Concord. My hubby and I actually toured around the foodcourt and tried a bit of this and that. I found out about the foodcourt from a nice lady that took me on a test drive of a Mazda from a nearby dealership a few months ago and we got to chatting and I asked her where to find good Filipino food and she drove me by this place! I asked her where she usually went and what she got and she said«Jollibee» and she always had the spaghetti, which didn’t sound particularly traditionally Filipino to me, but it sounded interesting. Anyway, my hubby did not want to try this place and thought the other places looked better and less like a chain, but I HAD to try this place. You know, because of Anthony Bourdain and the Mazda lady. So, when I got to the counter, I asked the server what was the best thing they had. She said«for you?» and I said, «no, for YOU — what is your favorite thing here?» She said the spaghetti and chicken. So – I had the spaghetti with a piece of fried chicken, that comes with a little tub of gravy. I also ordered the Halo Halo, because that is what Mr. Bourdain had — and it looked like a party in a cup. Halo Halo is a dessert conconcoction that mixes really hard cubes of colorful gelatin, cubes of flan, ice cream, shaved ice, garbanzo beans, red beans, coconut and evaporated milk. It is multicolored! So we dig into an array of food and the spaghetti turned out to be one of our favorites. It looks like normal spaghetti, but there is a slight sweetness to it, and there are slices of hot dog and tiny cubes of … spam? I don’t know, but it was good. The fried chicken was very crispy and the meat had a ton of flavor from being marinated. Way way better than KFC! The Halo Halo was very rich and fun. Eating garbanzo beans in my dessert along with hard jello was weirdly fun. I could only eat half. The place was PACKED — so many people eating that spaghetti! Next time, I will need to try an Aloha burger(with pineapple!) and a tiny spam sandwich.

This restaurant serves only chicken, burger and some pie’s. I went there during lunch time it wasn’t that busy but seems like it was because the people that works there was really slow. I did a phone order but when i went and pick up my order there is only one line, what is the use of the phone order if there is no other line. The service is really horrible. They don’t give any complimentary to there customer if they misS up the food. All the workers that work there are really slow. They need to hire workers that is a lot more faster in serving food and a NEW Manager that know how to please the customer if they miss up the order.

Jollibee is a friendly Filipino chicken place, affordable and I would have to say better than KFC. Jollibee has a unique taste to their food that I love because it gives me that Filipino taste back.

I don’t understand why everytime I come here there’s no chicken and a minimum 10 mins wait??? Trying to be cheap on food costs or you have managers that shouldn’t be working. It’s lunch time so wouldn’t you have food ready??? Taking my business elsewhere. Service is horrible as if they care less if they get my business or not. Even with a wait on food, they don’t even apologize and just brush you off.

Notso Jolly at this Bee — take a seat cause this food comes in Filipino Time. Super Slow service to boot. Buko chiller left on the counter for ten minutes before being called out. Guaranteed thirty minute wait for your Chicken Joy. Highly NOT recommended…

I would give it more stars, but the service was awful. Not much of a line when we arrived. Tried to order, but couldn’t understand the cashier??? What? Huh??? O.K. We managed to get thru our order. Pretty easy and simple order. Fried chicken, soda and a few sides for me & the wife. We waited for a VERYLONGTIME!!! I think it was about 20 minutes. For a fast food joint, this wasn’t boding very well for us. And. we. were. hungry. But, finally our order came. Apparently, they were waiting on the mashed potatoes. Oh well. The food was VERY good. I really liked it A LOT! I would have given it 5 stars, but there were some deductions unfortunately. The place was LOUD. And I mean LOUD!!! There were blenders or other machines making WAYTOOMUCHNOISE! Wow. An assault on the senses. So, very slow service, unintelligible cashiers and a noisy atmosphere. O.K. Once I got past all of that and had my meal on the table, things started looking up. All of the food was piping hot. It smelled great. It tasted great!!! I’ve been hankering for some GREAT fried chicken and I was NOT disappointed. It was really good! The mashed potatoes was very good and the gravy was good too. I can’t remember my other side, but that was good too. Top it all off, it wasn’t an expensive meal! So, all in all, this has some really good things-FOOD, PRICE and some not so great things-noise, long wait times and huh? at the cash register. Anyways, I WILL go back again. Oh yes, I will.

I went to Concord to drop off some photos for a client, and I decided to stop by Jollibee. It was around 9:30am, and they already served the Jolly Hotdog which we don’t serve after 11am in Union City. The place was really clean, maybe because it was in the morning, but other than that, my food was out after a few minutes. Though they messed up on how they put the ketchup on my hotdog though. The workers were nice and the supervisor was really inviting.

Nostalgia, how sweet, how painful, how addictive. Here in the States, fast food has the reputation of greasy, salty, cheap, and unhealthy albeit convenient food. If you grew up here, it would be a completely foreign concept to think of fast food as luxury. Growing up in a small, rural town in the Philippines, fast food places were far and few in between, and the menu comes with a price tag that could easily afford at least two homemade meals*. Fast food places were the place to go on first dates, throw birthday parties for your children, or any other special occasions. Should you feel inclined to judge us Filipinos harshly, let me reiterate: fast food is EXPENSIVE. The higher prices mean these fast food places have clean facilities(i.e. sparkling clean tables). They also provide great service — friendly, cheerful staff not only taking your order but also bussing your table for you once you are done(noteworthy is that no high school kid is ever behind the counter or in the kitchen). Perhaps the most surprising detail is that they use actual china and silverware — yes, in fast food joints! — as opposed to styrofoam and plasticware. Jollibee is the Filipino answer to McDonald’s, and it was a big part of my childhood. Top honors in my class? My parents would do the hour drive to Jollibee where I can order my favorite Jolly Hotdog and spaghetti. First date? My first boyfriend took me to the Jollibee in Manila and generously told me I could also order a sundae to pair with my peach mango pie. Leaving my friends perhaps forever to move to the States? My friends took me to the Jollibee in our provincial capital — which was 30 minutes away by jeepney from my home — where we shared spicy crispy fried chicken and tried to ignore the sadness that comes with goodbyes. This Jollibee is the nearest to my new home. Gone are the fancy aspects that can be found in the Philippines. The food, served in styrofoam, also is slightly greasier and bigger than what I grew up with. They really are just similar to McDonald’s with a higher price tag. The service is friendlier than the other fast food joints, but it is also slower and a bit disorganized. Amidst the English, Tagalog can be heard often. If I closed my eyes briefly after taking a bite of the fried chicken, the peach mango pie, and the halo-halo, it would be so very easy to delude myself into thinking I am back to simpler times and happier days. To this day, I still find myself absently humming the jingle from the iconic and hugely popular advertisement which featured a kid longingly counting down the days until Saturday when her parents would take her to Jollibee. To this day, a bite of their familiar fast food offerings is more than enough for me to think of home and all the good memories I have of home. To this day, Jollibee brings me joy. And because of these, despite the flaws, this Jollibee is as good as it gets for me. Because, after all these years, the truth remains: panlasang Pilipino at home sa Jollibee!** *What can I say? Homemade food is easier to find and considerably cheaper than fast food. Even if we did not have a chance to cook dinner, it was very easy to snag an invitation from your neighbor — who usually turns out to be a distant relation — or go to the neighborhood turo-turo(cafeteria/carinderia for cheap home-cooked dishes). I thought it was lame then, but in hindsight, we were quite spoiled, a fact that I was too small-minded to appreciate then. **English translation: Filipino taste is at home in Jollibee.

Food is really good but 3 stars for always messing up orders. On more than one occasion, they have messed up our orders and we would only notice it by the time we are at home. Such as a bucket of chicken have 5 legs and 1 thigh(should be 3 of each), missing sides, asking for spicy and not receiving spicy, and many more. Check your order before leaving.

Went to Jolibee to have breakfast. I’m pregnant and I requested to have my egg well done. The lady at the register looked like she was about to ask someone if they can have the egg cooked well done, but turns back around to me and says«we can only cook it the standard way.» I asked if they can just cook it a little bit longer and she straight up said no! I said whatever. Poor customer service!

Filipino fast food, similar to KFC and McDonald’s with a touch of Pacific Islander flair. A great place for the family or even just a snack. They always have something interesting on their menu.

Ordered a 1-piece chickenjoy with spaghetti to go. Got home, and there was no chicken! They did remember to add the gravy this time though. This is not the first time they’d forgotten part of an order. They would always forget to give me gravy whenever I got some chickenjoy to go. And this one time they do remember to put gravy, they forget the chicken! –__–

Not a big fan of fast food restaurants but needed to pick up some chicken for a potluck. I called ahead of time to pick up 18 pieces of chicken for around $ 27.00 which is not too bad. When I arrived, I thought the chicken was ready for pick up but looks like they just start putting your order together once you arrive which kind of defeats the purpose of calling ahead. Hmm… The chicken was decent, nothing much to rave about.

What’s not to like? I do love their ube drink. Man that is good. Gotta love their spaghetti as well. And oh yeah, their chicken. They can get busy during lunch so you’ll want to time it right.
