The sausage sampler was amazing! Toss up between the spicy and cheese sausage. Great drinks as well!

I love their food but they are pretty pricey. When I was there with my husband the other day the waiter forgot to bring him his soft drink and forgot to bring me my grits. Their fried okra is awesome.

Attended a graduation ceremony at this location, in a group of around 15 to 20 people, and we were seated in a split up group. So, we asked for them to rearrange the seating so that we could all be seated together. They complied, and after rearranging the tables, they took our drink orders. A different waitress brought back our drinks and had our order all mixed up. Since we had pre-ordered the meal, catering style, it was served family style with platters placed on the table for us to pass around. The food was good, but the service was terrible. Once the food was brought to the table, we barely saw our server again. No drinks were refilled, nor was the offer of drink refills even given. We had to go find a waiter and ask them for drinks. They brought us dessert, and we had to again find a waiter and ask them to remove some of the dirty plates, and to bring clean ones, so that we could serve dessert. All the dirty dishes got piled up on table. They were nice enough to wait until we finished dessert before bringing the check.

I visited this Lucielle’s to celebrate my graduation with my family and friends. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. I originally planned on 20 guests but only 15 showed. The staff was very accommodating in adjusting the menu options. My party had to re arrange the tables so we could sit together rather than at seperate tables. The food and atomsphere was great. The service was OK. It started strong. Drink orders were taken and came out quickly. The food was brought out when we were ready. Toward the middle of the evening the service slowly disappeared. By the end, when we were having dessert, our dirty dishes were never removed and drinks(sodas and water) weren’t refilled. TLDR: I enjoy this franchise. The food is delicious but the service was lackluster.

This past Saturday we celebrated my husbands birthday at Lucille’s. The only restaurant that he had on his list! I made the reservations for 35 individuals and was a bit hesitant on if they could accommodate, however they far exceeded in accommodating our party.(I did call 2 weeks prior to ensure they could accommodate us) We had two really great servers assigned to our tables. Our drinks stayed flowing and not a single order was wrong. With a large party generally most restaurants require that it all be on one bill and the party has to figure out the breakdown, they however allowed us to separate our entire party out by each family or couple and not one had issues with their final bill. Payment went so much smoother and each of our friends stated that they gave a little extra in their tips. So the servers were well taken care of as they took great care of us. More than half our party had yet to eat at Lucille’s and after the meals they experienced Saturday night, they are just as hooked as we are. Now when we talk about this restaurant many understand why we are willing to take the 45 minute drive to experience it. My daughter’s boyfriend always brags about Famous Dave’s and we kept telling him to «just wait until you try Lucille’s». Well he finally did and is now officially a convert! He’s already planning on his next trip.

I drive from Dublin all the way to Concord just because it’s the best ribs I’ve had in the Bay Area. I’m taking a star off bc 2 times I’ve gone, the ribs were a little over cooked. I need consistency esp since I do the drive, expecting the usual juicy, soft, melt in ur mouth ribs. Those two times were towards closing. Could they be drying from being under a heat lamp or oven too long? Still not an excuse. So far, everything I’ve tried on the menu was good. The potato & corn are my fav sides. I love the environment. The service is great and fast. The biscuits with the one of a kind butter is to die for! And I get the peach lemonade every time.

I might as well put it out there in the open now. I’m not a fan of BBQ sauce. I like when food is BBQ’d. I just don’t like the sauce. I don’t like the smell. It’s nauseating to me. I don’t like the taste. It makes me want to gag. So I tend to avoid any place that likes to use that type of sauce on their food. Why did I try this place then you may ask. One: I wanted to try somewhere new. Two: My friend wanted to eat there. Three: It was the closest thing to me when I got really hungry. Thursday evening around 6pm parking by the restaurant which is right next to BJ’s and 24 Hour Fitness is insane. Every space I saw was filled. If I hadn’t gotten lucky, I would have circled the parking lot or moved to a farther lot. Getting in, it didn’t look too busy inside. There were people waiting ahead of us. We got to put in our name right away. The wait time given was about fifteen minutes. Not bad, but I saw a lot of empty booths and tables. Why the wait time? Shouldn’t we have been seated immediately? I love when they offer free bread. The best bread I’ve gotten so far have been from The Cheesecake Factory and Outback. But man, the biscuits here put those two loafs of bread on notice. Four biscuits were offered to me and my friend. They came with a side of apple butter(I didn’t care much for it). The biscuits taste amazing by itself. You’d end up wanting to have a bunch of those instead of an actual meal. I order the All American burger. Said no to tomatoes or onions. Stuck with the meat, bread, lettuce, mayo, and bacon. Choices for my one side were fries, potato salad, sweet potato fries, garlic mashed potatoes, etc. I didn’t want to get ahead of myself so I stuck with the fries. The size of the mason jars which held our drinks were massive and so cool(both in the aesthetic sense and the taste sense). The coke was carbonated and the peach tea lemonade had just the right amount of sweetness and the peachy flavor wasn’t overpowering. The burger was big. It looked like it was at least 1⁄3 of a pound. It was cooked medium rare and after slathering it with a bunch of ketchup, I ate as much as I could. The meat was so juicy. I ended up not caring for the bacon because it was too hard. I couldn’t finish the burger because of the size, and I didn’t even make it half way through my fries. The fries hardly had any taste anyway so I wasn’t tripping. I was really impressed by the server that we had. His name was Daniel. He was so helpful, and congenial. He made sure we were okay. Offered us biscuits, suggested things on the menu, and so forth. He definitely made the dinner experience pleasant. I give it a solid 4⁄5 stars.(Loss of one star for the hard bacon and the bland fries.)

Their motto is «Low and slow is the only way to go.» Unfortunately, I agreed to every bit of it. The meat quality is incredibly LOW grade and their service was extremely snail SLOW. Don’t get me wrong, Smokehouse Barbecue seems to be a very popular place among the locals, ESPECIALLY on the weekends. I came here for little Rusty’s 3rd birthday party and upon arriving, the parking lot was overly packed. I had to park three stores down and allllll the way in the back. I was thinking this place might be extremely good if it’s this hard to find a parking spot. I had a hankering for BBQ too, so I was really preparing myself for some tasty a$$ barbecue, but those hopeful thoughts were thrown right out of the window as soon as my food arrived. With that being said, I ordered the beef and baby back ribs dry. When my order finally came out, the beef ribs basically had nothing but fat on the frikkin bone and the baby back ribs were charred, burnt, dry and tough. If I had not known any better, I would have thought that little Rusty was the one cooking back there. On a brighter note, the sides were much better. My order came with potato salad, onion strings, and biscuits with apple butter. Hot diggidy dog!!! Those biscuits with apple butter were the highlight for me. It was moist, slightly sweet, with the crust having a tad bit of a crunch. The apple butter only intensified my enjoyment of these tasty biscuits. They should have called this place Smokehouse Biscuits instead because that’s the real star. I also highly enjoyed their honey peanut slaw. Another highlight were their bottled BBQ sauces. It actually tasted really good. They carry either classic, hot and spicy, and one with a vinegar base. Yum and yum! Portion sizes here are very generous and they do serve large cocktails and drinks. If you have any leftovers, they have adequate sized to go containers. Prices are fairly expensive considering the quality, so if you are on a budget, think twice before coming here. Even though service was slow and aloof, the waitresses were very friendly. If I’m ever in the area again, this wouldn’t be my first choice, but I wouldn’t mind stopping in just to get some of those biscuits once again.

The restaurant does not connect to the mall. To find it go to the Penny’s and exit the store on the Contra Costa Blvd side. We ordered the fried green tomato appetizer and both ordered the brisket, one smaller portion and one large portion. The fried green tomatos were the best I’ve had and rate an «A». The brisket was deceiving in appearance(see photo) and rated a «B» for taste. By the meal’s end I was full and passed on dessert. A basket of rolls arrived with our initial order but we abstained following the«protein first» advice. The rolls were dense yet tasty and when enjoyed with the cinnamon butter became a dessert. Perhaps incidentally, my actual rating is a 3.5. This restaurant is expensive but when viewed in location context may be average priced.

I ate the whole thing. I debated coming back to Lucille’s based on my last experience. However, I got a new job in the area at the beginning of the year. And I had liked them in the past. My one bad experience was just a bad night(we are all entitled to it) because the food was pretty good. Food: I got the bbq trio lunch. I choose baby back ribs, burnt ends and smoke chicken and mashed potatoes as my side. I ate one biscuit and that tasted awesome. Again, I ate the whole meal. No leftovers.

The first time I had Lucille’s was at the location in Fullerton. I thought it was the best bbq, ever. But living in Hawaii at the time, I didn’t realize what really good bbq was. Fast forward to present day, we visit this location a few times. The food isn’t the same as the one in SoCal, but it’s still pretty decent. First off, the house buscuits with honey cinnamon butter. Damn, so good. It’s really good. But don’t eat too much of it. I usually order me the platter. Skip the bbq chicken — I’ve never had good smoked chicken anywhere — it’s always too dry. Stick with the burnt ends, brisket, and the ribs of course. The sausage is hit or miss. I ordered it this time, it was bleh, and I was burping sausage for the next 8 hours. One hiccup I had was the beer. I ordered beer, and it took a good 15 minutes for it to come. They claimed they had to swap out the keg. Oh well… wish they comped it. But our server was really nice about it — I think her name was Nicolette? She was genuinely sorry, and kept updating me. That’s great service right there! Hope you enjoyed your tip! But yeah, decent bbq in a not so bbq minded Bay Area. Go early, else you’ll be waiting 1+ hours. SYOY!

They have the best BBQ chicken! It is so soft, it’s like cutting into butter. You must have their lemonades that come in big mason jars; it’s heaven. I always get the peach lemonade. Their macaroni and cheese as a side is of course super creamy and you can’t ignore their warm biscuits with sweet butter! The service is always great, the wait could be a bit long, but it is so worth it because the food is that amazing!

First discovered this place in a small town outside of Las Vegas. Then noticed they had a location in Roseville. Was happy to here that they opened up a spot in the Bay Area! I have never had a bad experience, from the hostess in the front to the waiter/waitress. Everyone has been polite, friendly, and has a small on there face. Don’t load up on the free bread and butter that they bring out! It is very easy to do because it is just that good! The meat is has always been amazing! Cooked perfectly, and if it isn’t they will get you meat that is cooked the way you like it. The side dishes are a good amount to go with the meat. You will not leave this place HUNGRY! If you are a vegetarian, don’t be afraid. They have a few dishes for you as well. I have been here multiple times with a vegetarian and they don’t order a salad. I think it is a grilled portabello sandwich. They also have a garden burger I believe. Don’t get to come here often, maybe 3 – 4 times a year. But each time I go, it is well worth it!

I’m not a BBQ fan but my visit on a Sunday evening was great. We were seating within 2 minutes of entering the restaurant. They also have open seating by the bar. We ordered the half chicken with 2 choices of meat, we chose the brisket and the rib tips. I have to say, the chicken was super juicy! the rib tips were cooked perfectly and was so easy to cut and fell right off the bone. The brisket was tender and juicy! For our sides, we ordered mac n cheese and french fries and added a side caesar salad. We were a bit hesitant to order the mac n cheese because we weren’t sure how creamy it would be. If you’re like me and you like your mac n cheese creamy(not just macaroni topped with shredded cheese) you would enjoy theirs! Their mac n cheese is creamy, topped with shredded cheese and baked. We figured we would give one of their drinks a try so we ordered the Muddy waters(their version of arnold palmers). I was torn between trying the peach ice tea or the watermelon ice tea but the waiter informed me that these were unsweetened. I requested that peach ice tea be mixed in my muddy waters drink and my waiter said that was doable. For my refill, she let me try the watermelon tea with lemonade. I liked the peach version better though. They do serve biscuits and apple butter with the meals. You can request as many as you want but be warned, these are super filling!

I finally get to try Lucille! It’s a chain for bbq and it doesn’t disappoint for that sole reason. I love their beef ribs. It’s so savory bomb. Their briskets came in second. Their pork ribs and chicken was aye okay. I liked their baked beans, coleslaw, sweet potato fries and potato salads as sides. They have bbq sauces on the side to try. It was all good. Their Cajun pasta was delicious and have a bbq sausage on the side, to make this dish full on compliments to the chef. There were plenty of staff members to get your orders in and other miscellaneous servicing done. Great spot to grab if you are at the mall next store and don’t want to go far.

This is really a 3.5 rating. If I were just reviewing the biscuits, then a 4! This is an ok BBQ place. Portions are huge and priced accordingly. I like going for lunch since they do have lunch specials. This time I ordered the rib lunch special which was three pieces of many back ribs, a side of sweet potatoes fries and a smoked sausage link. You can order from a variety of sides which is nice. The ribs were juicy and tender and falling off the bone just as I like it. Fries were crispy and the sausage link was very tasty. My one negative is that we had used the sauces on the table which they never told us that you had to pay for. We didn’t realize it until the end when we got home. If we did, we would have taken the bottles with us since we paid for them. Good for BBQ but I would not go out of my way to go there.
