The cheese and jalapeño one is where its at. The sausage is just okay. Will be back!

My wife and I tried this place out for the first time today. I had it on my Unilocal bookmarks for a while and had been meaning to check it out. It was a bit of a trek from walnut creek where we live to this place(which my wife kept complaining about). However when we got there, it was well worth it. I had the hotlink and cheese while my wife had the bacon burger. Both were delicious! Also the service was friendly, and very fast. We would definitely come back again for another cheese zombie experience even if it means driving a little bit out of the way for it :)

Pretty darn good for fast food! We came into this small shop, made our orders and the cashier grabbed our sandwiches from a heated storage cabinet to keep food warm. I ordered the ham and cheese zombie. It was so good! The ham and cheese inside the warm doughy bread was outstanding! I’m so glad we stopped by! It cost about 4.95 $ for the sandwich. I definitely recommend.

Ok so a huge part goes to customer service! She was awesome in every way. I ordered each of my kiddos a ham and cheese zombie & a ham, cheese jalapeño for myself. They where hot and delicious. It was like a cheesy butter with meat to melt in my mouth. Did I mention the bread is like a giant dinner roll with slight Hawaiian roll flair! We also indulged in some ice cream cones. I was greedy and got a sandwich, much like at CREAM but cheaper in price. This spot is quite tucked away and I hadn’t known I was passing it all this time. I will be back… and soon… yum(in my homer voice)

IFYOUHAVEN’T TRIED A CHEESEZOMBIEYOUAREMISSINGOUT! The staff is incredibly nice and the food tastes amazing. What more could you want? I ordered the breakfast jalapeño zombie which is a must try for anyone feeling breakfast with a spicy kick. Anytime I’m hungry, and near the cheese zombie shop, it’s a guarantee I’m stopping in.

I’ve been coming here for like 2 plus years now, I found out about this place because they have a tent set up downtown when music in the park happens every week during the summer. The bread is so soft and fresh, the cheese is melting and just to die for. I noticed they are open later now they use to close early so it’s a plus. If I’m too lazy to make breakfast I come here and get the breakfast zombie. It comes with egg, cheese, bacon and a sausage patty inside. I get a ham and cheese one to go so I can eat it later. Lol what can I say I love to eat! When you walk into the place it smells so good everything is freshly baked and they sell some other baked goods as well. I’ve tried the cinnamon roll and if you heat it up in the oven it’s even better. They will heat it up for you there if you want to eat it right then. They have a couple tables to sit so you can enjpy your zombie hot. I suggest you try this place out you will not be disappointed.

This place seems unique and the reviews make it seems like an unique place. So I decide to come here on Monday late afternoon after work. It’s in a stripmall like place, and when I arrived, it was pretty empty. Nothing was in the showcase. All the zombies are in some oven like thing. I asked what was still available, and she listed them off. So I went for the pastrami one and ham, cheese and jalapeño one. My total came out to be a little over $ 10, which in my opinion, is definitely pricey. So I get the opportunity to take a bite into one. I like the ham, cheese and jalapeño one. Particularly, I think the jalapeño gives it a nice kick and such. One thing I always hate about buns is there needs to be more filling. I want it to goo out, and I didn’t get that. As for the pastrami one, it was okay. The pastrami isn’t the highest quality, and the cheese didn’t go as well with it. I finally had the experience to try these zombies, which seem overpriced and overrated. They definitely aren’t worth it or worth coming back for. I rather just buy an asian bun, and call it a day!

I heard about this place from a coworker. Apparently cheese zombies are known as a school lunch. Thank you to my coworkers, I enjoyed this childhood memory. Eat while its hot! I am a Zombie-holic lol

What you’d get if a hot pocket mated with a hamburger bun. But I mean that in a good way. Little pillows of cheesy, porcine goodness. In kind of a strip mall food court, close to concord high school. Small menu, with cheese, ham and cheese, bacon and cheese, sausage and cheese… Not for the lactose intolerant, but delicious anyway! Tried the ham and cheese and bacon and cheese. Both were excellent.

Fantastic! After all these years I finally tried a cheese zombie. Nestled in the middle of nowhere my friend and I came here to eat a cheese zombie. He got the normal cheese one and I got the cheese with sausage. It was about ten bucks total for both of them plus two water bottles. The place is clean and I really liked the location(there are several other nice places to eat in the area as well). The girls behind the counter were very nice. One thing that was confusing was the board has the items for sale and tells you what’s sold out at first glance it’s kinda all over the place. They have two led TV’s on the wall that could easily be turned on and updated with the menu, so it would be easier to see what the items are for people waiting! Overall, the food is delicious! Kinda small, but a perfect snack item. If I had two or three I could get full. The bread is fantastic soft with a bit of a crisp to it. The cheese and sausage blended together quite nicely! If I’m ever in the area I will definitely drop by again!

OMGoodness … so Yummy! I had never had a «zombie» and had been dying to stop by Patty’s to see what all the fuss is about. Well I was just down the street and decided to pop in for a try and man, oh man, am I glad I did. I ordered the Jalapeño, Ham, & Cheese and the Hot Link zombie. The Jalapeño one was the bomb! Tasty, filling, and really had a nice kick from the whole Jalapeño slices. I love Hot Links and thought for sure the HL would be the winner, but unfortunately the link fell short. I tasted more like a Hot Dog than a Hot Link(like a costco hot dog to be specific). The service was super, ultra friendly and he even suggested a few of his favorite zombies. I will totally come back for more!

So bomb!!! This was my first time here. The cashier was super friendly and very helpful. She told us which of their sandwiches were some of the best sellers and which of the sandwiches would fill you up. I got the BBQ Chicken zombie. My boyfriend got the sausage and cheese zombie as well as the ham, jalapeño, and cheese zombie. The BBQ Chicken is pretty filling and was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend loved both of his sandwiches. He devoured both of them and was completely satisfied. I think we found our new favorite place to come to on the weekends! I highly recommend this place

I NEVER ate these in high school, but after my boyfriend convinced me of trying Patty’s, I have gone here about three times in the past month! I really love the options they have. I was originally thrown off in high school about eating a big piece of bread with cheese in it, but I’m lovin all these options!!! The breakfast ones are so tasty, filled with melty gooey cheese and bacon, or sausage, or jalepeno! AGHHH The pizza one is also one of my new favorite food items. i REALLY want to try the biscuits and gravy one. Long story short… i’ll be back to try them all! I only wish when you went, they would stamp your stamp card for every zombie you buy, and not every purchase! They should hook it up since most of the people who seem to go in are students and loyal customers!

I didn’t grow up in the Bay Area so spending years hearing my husband wax poetic about cheese zombies had little effect on me. Then this. So good. So so good. It’s not just some bread filled with cheese. It’s something else entirely. And the staff is great! Friendly and chatty which I like. I did knock off a star for price. They really are stuffed but I always get a bit of sticker shock when I pick up a few. Hopefully, as business keeps up, they can bring them down a little. Or maybe offer combo pricing? 6 for $ 15 or something to that effect. Also, anyone saying it’s not close to the freeway; well, nothing in concord is lol.

So today, for lunch, we ventured into the bellies of Concord to find our zombies. No not the kind that’s undead and want to eat your brains. No large puffs of bread filled with various innards that typically start off with just cheese. ~ Location ~ Gosh this place is no where close a highway. The high school is close by, so if you’re a Concord resident and have kids, you’ll at least pass by this place. Otherwise it’s located in a little plaza. Right next door is a Quickly. ~ Inside ~ Well it’s mainly the bakery and you can smell its heavenly goodness that is bread. Don’t expect to sit and eat here. There are two small two seater tables outside but that’s it. Nothing inside. It’s a to-go place. They do sell not just zombies, but ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, drinks, etc. ~ Price ~ Overpriced for what you get. Maybe it’s because I’m so used to BBQ Pork Buns and just Chinese buns in general being the same size, same quality(or even better filling) and those only priced to be $ 1.50-$ 3. For $ 5 for the Breakfast Zombie and ~$ 5.50 for the bacon burger zombie, I felt a bit ripped off. ~ Breakfast Zombie ~ It has american cheese, scrambled egg omelette, and sausage patty. The bread itself was fluffy and what you expect a good dinner bun to be. The inside was good in terms of satisfying your breakfast cravings. Was it special? No. It reminded me of a Sausage Egg Cheese McMuffin with just different breading and also a higher price. Though yes it’s made with more love than the corporate machine that is McDonalds. ~ Bacon Burger Zombie ~ Filled with Bacon, burger bits, and mozzarella cheese covered in Kinder’s BBQ Sauce. It was good, but like the breakfast zombie, it reminded me of BBQ Pork bun or any other Chinese bun with filling. Overall, would I recommend this place? Nope. It’s so far out and not easy to access. I get it if you’re not surrounded like me by cheap Chinese bun eats that this is what you can get, but you might as well take a trip to Oakland China Town or heck go to 99 Ranch for a baked BBQ Bun. But if you’re close by and want to try it out, it’s good to try, but again just too pricey for my liking.

Wow, I never thought that I would have another zombie after graduating high school haha. I had these all the time during brunch at Acalanes and they were the bomb and I missed them! I went on a weekday afternoon. Unfortunately, the sausage zombie that I loved in high school was sold out :[. They have a LOT of varieties to choose from though and they all sound pretty good. I got a ham, cheese, and jalapeño one as well as a pastrami one. There’s lots of ham in that one and the pickled jalapeño’s give a strong kick to the zombie! I LOVE the pastrami one. It uses pepper jack cheese I think and it has pickles in it. It’s delicious! The zombies come straight out of the oven, so they’re still warm when you eat them immediately. The buns are perfectly soft. This place brings me back… to one of the good parts of high school, of course. They’re definitely more expensive than at school, but for us graduated folks, this is your one-way ticket to nostalgia.

This place has a LOT of potential. I understand that they opened fairly recently, so for what the food is meant to be — great concept! Reminds me of filipino siopao except with cheese. A few recommendations: –have different bread. Although the bread was good, it would be interesting to see one of these bad boys baked in something not as plain Jane. –While I love the cheese — I wonder what it would be like with different cheese options as well? Either way, my experience was explosive. Just as it was when I bit into my breakfast cheese zombie.

Buns the size of softballs! Patty’s Original Cheese Zombies are like the classic cheese zombies I heard about so many times from my mom when she went to high school. I knew it meant a lot to her, so when I found this place I knew I had to tell her. I did not know how big of a deal this place was until my mom told my uncle and he had the same shocked and excited reaction as she did when I told her about Patty’s. So the next morning, my family visited Patty’s to see if these zombies matched up with the nostalgia of their past. Since we were early, we were the only ones in the shop in the morning. We met the son of Patty and he told us about the shop and how they use the same recipe that was used when my mom and uncle went to school. We took the zombies to go and brought them back to my grandma’s house. In my opinion, they are better to eat when you take home. Microwave it and toast it to warm it up and make it crunchy. The breakfast zombie was good, the bacon I could do without. It was not crispy and it was not flavorful. The sausage and egg went well with the cheese. It’s not gourmet cheese, more like government American cheese so don’t expect fancy cheeses. The original cheese zombie is very cheesy and too much after a while. My uncle gave me a great tip so we stuck BBQ potato chips in our cheese zombies and it took the cheese zombies to another level. I am not a fan of the cinnamon rolls so stick with zombies and drink it down with a big glass of milk.
