Service was great. Blooming onion was burnt. But new York strip was definitely good. As far as the steak goes, it might just be a better bang for your buck with saltgrass right next door.

I think they wait until you park at the curbside take away spot to start preparing your food. No matter the order or time of day it is placed, you consistently have to wait an additional 20 minutes after the time they tell you it will be ready.

Outback is Outback in general. Between locations, the things that change is cleanliness, staff capabilities and the quality of food execution. This one hits all the good points. I especially appreciated that they were taking time to train a new gal really well and were actually glad that our table had several special requests. Service was really good. Our food was quite tasty as well. The place was spotless and obviously well tended. I highly recommend this location.

1) Wait staff was standing and chatting on the other side of the wall from our seats; annoying. 2) At 4PM, few customers in restaurant. Waiter took drink order. After 5 minutes, I told him either bring the drink or iced tea. He said is it ready, then shouts to the bartender to make a margarita(I hate to be lied to). 3) Waiter disappeared after serving food. Had to ask 2 people to get my check; took about 5 minutes. 4) Review of check: wrong price quoted for margarita, extra charges for additional condiments. No mention when ordering that there would be extra charges. 5) Asked to see manager: he adjusted drink prices to what was quoted and removed the additional charges for condiments. He said it cost Outback money and that is why a new policy was implemented to add these additional charges. I told him I would be OK with it if I was told up front, but the waiter failed to tell us about it. I consider this ‘nickel and diming’. We pay a fair price for the steaks but don’t tack on insignificant charges. It irritates the customer and ends up making it an unpleasant experience. We refuse to dine in restaurants with these kinds of policies and will probably not be back to Outback in Conroe when Saltgrass is next door and they treat their customers excellently.

I order online a crispy chicken sandwich without ranch with lettuce and ketchup at 2:08 p.m. The e-mail stated that the food would be ready at 2:28 p.m. I arrived at 2:29 p.m. and after waiting for a couple of minutes, a lady came out to help me. Guess what? the Order was not ready. She said that I had to pay for my meal when I already paid online. Anyway, I got my meal at 2:41 p.m. The fries were cold, and the sandwich did not have lettuce. I don’t intend to come back to the restaurant. I am very disappointment of the service. I didn’t even get an apology for their mistake.

We walked out. Very rude people at the door. Very few people there at 1:00, were sitted near kitchen. Rude server, so we walked out. And the attitude of the server and door person Indifferent. Will not be back.

Great big open area bar, only one TV. The food is very good, medium quality but the prices are just too high for a run-of-the-mill chain restaurant. Saltgrass next store has more reasonable prices and feels less like being at Chili’s

Visited for lunch with my mom, sister, nephew and my son. My son was served a rotten steak. It was terrible. They sat it down on the table and we could all smell it without even cutting into it. Not sure why the server and/or kitchen staff did not catch this beforehand. In addition, I ordered it medium and it was very well done so my guess is it was a left over steak from the previous night.

Service and food was very good. We beat the dinner crowd so no waiting was great! The waiter was courteous and attentive. I have never had a bad meal at this location.

We visited Outback on Saturday, March 7 for dinner. It was busy and we had to wait about half an hour for a table. After we were seated it took about 10 more minutes for the waiter to come by and take our drink order, which was fine, it was nearly 8pm on a Saturday night and of course the place was busy. I had a question about the specialty drinks which our waiter couldn’t answer and he got flustered, maybe he was new or just frazzled, but he took our drink order and we also ordered an appetizer. The drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time, but no appetizer came, and while we noticed, it hadn’t been a long enough amount of time for us to raise an eyebrow over the delay. Then the manager came by, apologized profusely for the slow service(which really wasn’t terrible, it was just busy!) and comped our full round of drinks and our appetizer which he said was overcooked the first time and they had to redo it. Our waiter came by and apologized profusely as well and said the redone appetizer would be right out. Wonderful service, in my opinion. The staff realized their shortfall before we did and did something to make it right. The rest of the dinner was without issue and we left stuffed and happy.

The food is very good but half the time I order food to go, it is wrong. Some of it is missing or it’s cooked wrong. I’m too lazy to drive all the way back to correct my order, so it’s partly my fault for wasting my money. I guess I should leave to check my $ 25 meal before I leave. Oh well. Half the staff is nice and friendly. But there is one waitress we get stuck with every time. She’s rude and not customer friendly. 2 weeks ago we had dinner and I asked for a high chair for my daughter, she acted like I was messed up for not having one in the first place. wtf?! I would definitely prefer to go to the out back in the woodlands.

I’ve been eating at this location for a few years and my experiences have just gotten worse and more annoying. Their food is okay, it’s not particularly great. Compared to other Outback locations, especially the one in The Woodlands, it’s really not very good. The staff is what has pretty much cured me of this location. I’ve had a lot of issues with everything from seating, to being served, to getting what I actually ordered. Though Saturday afternoons for lunch is the absolute worst time to visit. The wait staff isn’t very focused and I’ve had a few issues where our waitress has had friends or family visit and they have gotten our order wrong and not tended to our table while they stand and laugh and joke with the people they know. When we’ve had an issue with our order being wrong I’ve had waitstaff just stare at me like, ‘What do you want me to do about it?’ They aren’t very trained in offering solutions when a problem is presented and that makes me feel like a demanding customer when I have to present a problem and then stare at someone before I present them with what they need to do to complete their job task. The managers aren’t always very helpful either, since it’s obvious at times that their focus is the restaurant’s bottom line and not really the customer’s experience or satisfaction. Which is understandable, but when the problem came from your staff then you just need to rectify everything. Sometimes you can wait for quite awhile before being served and you don’t always get what you ask your waiter for. That can be a problem anywhere, but it’s a common issue here. Drink refills, or sides/add-ons can take quite awhile. Usually you have more luck asking a passing food runner. The most recent issue I had, and it’s happened before but not this bad, was when we went in for lunch on a Saturday and walked into a pretty empty restaurant. There was no hostess and we stood at the stand waiting for someone to appear. During this time several waitstaff and bartenders stared at us, looked around and went back to what they were doing. We waited 5 minutes and no one ever came to the front to seat us or even threw a «someone will be right with you» our way. But they did continue to look at us and go about their jobs. So we left and ate in The Woodlands at a steakhouse. It just feels like there’s a constant lack of customer service. I know that Outback is a very casual steakhouse, but you should still attend to your customers.

I have eaten at many Outback Steakhouse’s in different states. This particular restaurant is not my favorite. The chicken breast was not tender and the broccoli had huge stems. I prefer florets with little stem. The garden salad was perfect as well as the bleu cheese dressing. My food was served barely warm and I should have returned it for a re-heat. This Outback appears much older than others and not as well kept. I’ve eaten at this location twice, but next time will try a different location.

LCD steakhouse just like all the other chain restaurants around the Conroe area including the crappy steakhouse RIGHT next door. I mean really city planners did not think this one out! Why do we need two steak restaurants side by side? That’s as bad as allowing one more flipping Mexican restaurant to invade these here parts!!! Enough already sets some limits you tax hungry city officials!!! Ok back to reviewing Outback— What do you expect with line order chefs? Not much that is for certain. You will find average to unhealthy quality food that is pre-prepped and processed to be shipped nation wide. Sourced locally it is not! High quality nope! Quick and easy perhaps. Don’t go in with high expectations and you won’t leave disappointed. The staff are always friendly and the drinks are fairly strong. I am certain some people in Conroe think this here is fine dining or living high on the hog. Call me spoiled by living in New Orleans and traveling around the world, but I am so over chains. Please for the love of all deprived foodies everywhere CONROE please bring in something other than the tragic options we have now!!!

Great outback. Good heathy options that taste good. Steaks and lobster are wonderful. Service is usually good and food almost always perfect. Best steamed vegetables in Conroe.

Not many choices in Conroe, but we had a nice meal. I really enjoyed my appetizer crab avocado stack. I could have had that as a meal. I ordered the mahi for my main meal with shrimp. The mahi was dry and flavorless. My husband ordered a steak. It was good. Service was good and the place seemed clean. I would dine there again.

Probably my favorite of all of the chains! First visit to this particular location. Always consistent, this was no exception. Could’ve gotten 5 stars with a little more attention to detail. But, as always the food was great as expected. Usually, for me, best in class for a chain steakhouse. We had the bloomin’ onion, and the 4 course dinner(a change of pace for me! usually don’t even look at the menu and end up with either the coconut shrimp or ahi appetizer, sometimes both if I can’t decide! and a big Victoria’s filet!) and tried something different in each course, French onion soup & baked potato soup — garden & Caesar salads — grilled pork tenderloin & chicken on the barbie — cheesecake & carrot cake to finish it off — all were very good as expected! Nitpicking coming to thwart the fifth star, courses all came way to fast(and it wasn’t late, so they weren’t just trying to get out of there!) and some sloppy plating. I know, if that’s the worst thing that happened, it’s still all good! Another day, another Outback!
