The food is very satisfying, especially if you’re super hungry. My burger was perfectly prepared. Rare, just how I like it. The other foods were also wonderful.

Ask for Cowboy. Guy is the man. Helped with gluten free drinks and dinner. Very good food overall

Pretty basic rural joint. Menu had the bare bones for a plain American bar and grill, nothing super appealing taste-wise. Service was great though. Perhaps that was because it was early lunchtime and we were the only non-locals in there, but still that attentiveness was appreciated.

Whoever complained about ‘3 day old bacon’ is a ‘glass half empty person’. If you want a place with very good not great food served by smiling people who literally run to make sure you have a tasty cold beverage — this is your place. If you want to complain that your burger is over cooked or the bacon isn’t squealing, please dr be in by and leave some open table for the fun people to whom this place clearly caters.

Friendly attentive staff, cold beer, good pub food, wings, skins. Nachos a little skimpy on the cheese. Great place to hang out and watch the Pats.

Pretty dam good. My nephew Brendan, just out of basic training, his dad, Joyce and I, stopped in for a quick bite. Burgers were great, buffalo crispy salad was tasty, and the soup was god too. A nice friendly place to relax and enjoy a quick lunch.

Stopped here after a long day of hiking. Warm service and a great burger. The fried green beans are awesome! I will definitely go back if I find myself on that side of the kancamagus again.

Worst burger ever. Took way too long. Well done was charcoal flavored and rare was cooked all the way through. Bacon looked 3 days old. Onion rings were cold and fries eere hot. Mustard container had a gross crust on it. This place needs a cook who gives a shit when he serves a dish. No thumbs up here left hungry and pissed! Waitress was awesome! Skip this place tho

Great food, great fun, great service inside. Sadly we were greeted by this guy when we drove in. Yes– he was wearing an official«parking Nazi» vest. I was taken aback and disappointed to see the restaurant supporting someone doing this or even paying them to wear the vest. It was far from funny and had we not been ready to drive further we would have kept going. I hope the owner rethinks this tasteless and offensive humor.

Loved our waiter, he went above and beyond even when we were the last people ordering dinner. We came after a hike and were both starving and thirsty. He brought the two of us a huge pitcher of ice water which was super thoughtful. He ended up choosing my meal for me because I couldn’t decide, which was hilarious. The onion rings were amazing, and their barbecue sauce was really good too. I would go back more for the service than the food, but the food is definitely decent.

Great staff, good food. Great place to stop after work or a Saturday afternoon pool game. Band starts early so us old folk can enjoy some good music before chores. I had a turkey club with crisp bacon, a mound of turkey and some very good french fries. My buddy had buffalo chicken tenders and licked his plate. Could work on the draft selection but what was there was cold. I will be going back again.

Great food — especially the truly outstanding burgers. Cool and local vibe, park your bike out front and enjoy the live music and pool.

Went there for the first time after camping in the white mountains. The atmosphere was that of what you would see on TV with a Midwest Bar set. The food was sub par. Had some pot stickers that were more the consistency of Styrofoam than food. The sandwich was actually pretty good. The draft beer selection was all but nonexistent. Overall I can see the appeal. The waitress was warm and inviting. But, the atmosphere and food quality was really not what I had expected. We just came in looking for a warm spot that wasn’t raining. Almost There gave us that much. As far as that fourth star? They’re Almost There.

It’s my first stop when I travel to the White Mountains. Great Burgers and home style foods. Decent beer selection, great full bar and every Friday they have the Simon Crawford Band rocking the house with guest artists, dancing and it’s a great way to kick off the weekend. This is not a hoity toity gourmet restaurant. It’s a down home pub restaurant that caters to locals and new and old friends. Everyone will feel welcome there.

Relatively average sports bar with typical menu. Waitress was a sweetheart and always smiling, sorry I forgot your name Boo’s mom. Definitely a good stop after snowmobiling for the day. We’d go back cuz it seems like a good spot to get a few drinks with a reliable meal.

We go almost every Friday night, love the atmosphere as it’s just a down-home place to hang and listen to the awesome Simon Crawford band ! Appetizers are great, burgers are amazing and the Caesar salad is plentiful and tastefully fresh !

2stars and I’m being generous. Had to have a quick bite due to traffic backed up and happened upon this place as it was conveniently located on 16. Sorry folks, don’t mean to be a downer, but the fish was frozen(not fresh as claimed). & so were the vegetables. Lackluster, boring and salty. Ugh. I can cook a better meal than this anytime(with my eyes closed). Simply bad.

I have driven past this place a million times but finally stopped to check it out last week. It was great! It’s definitely not fancy, and it’s a little loud but they have a cute little outdoor patio. They have home made onion rings that were absolutely delicious and a decent menu with a lot of choices. The food was cheap, there was plenty of parking, and the staff was attentive and friendly. We all loved our food and will definitely be back again!

Me and a group of friends are avid Kancamagus campers. I had passed by Almost There every summer for years. During good weather, there’s always people on their outdoor patio area, and they always look like they’re having fun. So we finally stopped in to try the place before heading to camping trip at my insistence. It is just before the turn for the Kancamagus Highway on route 16, across from the Mobile. Almost There definitely has a cool atmosphere to it. Nothing fancy and it’s definitely reminiscent of Road House, but in a good way(if that makes any sense). I can’t stand bland looking, boring, forgettable looking, chain restaurants bars personally. The restaurant is a pretty good size. Indoor seating with a bar, and an outdoor patio with a tiki bar open when the weather is nice. They have a jukebox for music, and live bands on some nights. The hostess and waitstaff were all very friendly to us, huge plus right there in my book. We sat at the bar, and our bartender(I forget his name, unfortunately) was awesome. He was as well have been a comedian, he was engaging, funny, and helpful with tips on the menu. Very nice guy. The drinks were on the weak side because they carefully measure how liquor goes in each. They have beers on tap. The bar was pretty cool, lot of sports memorabilia, life size cutout of Larry Bird from the 80’s, and a wall covered in patches from Fire, EMT, and police departments across New England and New York from what I could see. I was surprised to see my hometown’s PD patch on the wall, Malden, MA. Pretty cool touch. The food here is NOT for the health nut. Everything they served was basically comfort food. I started with a really good seafood chowder, followed by a chicken fried steak dinner(I had never had before, but I was feeling bold) with mushroom gravy that convinced me I was in fact in the South and not in New Hampshire. Delicious. Sides were mashed potatoes and broccoli. Also good. Almost There is nothing fancy at all, but it’s a cool atmosphere with really good food and a friendly, engaging staff. I would definitely recommended trying it if you’re around Albany, NH/Conway, NH. We’ll be stopping here before we go to the Kanc from now on.
