Sea Dog Brew Pub

Great atmosphere, love the set up and the food was so much better then I was expecting. The service on the other hand was awful and it’s one of the few times I’ve ever thought about not even leaving a tip. The guy was really nice but he just left us high and dry for 90% of the meal and never even made a attempt to see how we were doing. He was so pre-​occupied about a friend he had at one of his other tables. It really was a shame. I can’t say this for all there servers because I saw another guy checking on his tables multiple times and at one point I almost grabbed him because our guy was MIA. Over all it’s was good other then the service and I would probably go again, just hope we don’t get the same guy.

Excited to find some place open for lunch at 11am on a Monday in the off season. The bartender (a burly bearded man) was very friendly and knowledgable about the beer and cocktails. We enjoyed an appetizer as well. We will definitely stop in again while in the area.

I really wanted to enjoy this place but it turned out to be a bust We dined on a Thursday night and our food was not good at all. I ordered the Waldorf Chicken Salad and my husband ordered a wrap. They left much to be desired. Service was ok… pleasant but extremely slow even though they were not very busy.

Meh… Food really sub par. Artichoke dip came out cold, lobster bisque tasted like flour, fish and chips ok (fresh though).
Saving grace was the blueberry beer.

Had a stout beer — very smooth; went down easily. Tried the fish tacos — these were pretty good. Not fried — slightly spicy (they were «blackened») and I had them with a side of sweet potato fries. Fries were good.
My companion had a burger and it was OK — along with a beer flight. Blueberry beer was the favorite (of the «light flight»).
Other friends of ours had mixed reviews — most shrugged their shoulders and said the food was fine.
There was live music — a young man with an acoustic guitar… he was quite talented.
It’s one of the few places that are open late… so it’s not a bad choice for a beer and some grub.

I am surprised to read all of the terrible service reviews. We were seated promptly and had a sweet and attentive waitress. My family, husband and three kids, all enjoyed our meals. They have an expansive gluten free menu and the waitress was knowledgeable. My daughter was excited to have a hamburger on a gf bun. My older daughter loved the bean burger. We also enjoyed live music that night. We will definitely be returning for more good food when we are skiing in a few weeks.

Awful service. Great beers, would like to have tried more. The bartenders were too busy chatting with their friends. Sitting at the bar, we were checked on once. 20 minutes after I finished my beers, we finally got the bill. Never again. Awful bartending service.

I am split on this place. Love getting drinks here but I don’t think the food is the best. Staff is all super friendly and great. Down side– they only serve their beer.

Sitting here now waiting for a fish sandwich and my husband, fish and chips, this is our second visit in two days. Yesterday we came for appetizers and beer and were impressed.
Since I’m not a «beer person» the
Pumpkin beer was suggested and was very good. Our appetizers, mussels and fried pickles were absolutely delicious.
Fast forward to today, I thought I’d try another flavor of beer and was not impressed. Our server recognized that and offered me another. Thank you!
I have high hopes for our entrees today.
Bottom line… It’s worth a try!

We went during the off season. The place was more or less empty.
This place is fairly new. Souvenir gifts to get as well.
They did a nice job with the place. Atmosphere is bar/​pub like
Shipyard beer was EXCELLENT and cold from draft. Kids got the Elis drinks. There is an option to get a beer flight to taste samples. Wife got a sugar/​cinnamon rim for her pumpkin head.
Pasta dish had way to much sauce and not enough spaghetti. It would good but I left hungry. The two bread sticks were really good better than you get at the Olive Garden. However I wouldn’t get that again.
Wife loved her french onion soup. Daughter absolutely loved here Turkey BLT!
My son said his hotdog was mediocre.
Service was prompt. Staff were adequate and quick but not overly friendly. Its a little bit more on the pricey side if you compare it against the 99. No free appetizers either.
I would definitely go back but I would try something different.

We loved this place! Such a fun atmosphere and awesome food and beer. We had a day trip up to North Conway and this was the perfect place. We got fried pickles and onion soup and salads which were all delicious! Blueberry beer is a must try and the tshirts are fun– of course we had to get a shirt!

So my wife and I met another couple for dinner and an adult beverage while visiting a few weeks back. I was excited to try it out as I’m a big fan of the Sea Dog beer. Upon first arriving the interior look trendy/​pubish’, but this is as good as it got.
We stood there looking at the two receptionist and two other gentleman for about 40 seconds. The employees looked more like deer in headlight than hostess or servers. Figuring they must be in a hypnotic trance, I initiated the conversation by simply saying «hi». The young lady looked like I put her out or was bothering her but she did ask if she could help. Telling her we’d like a table for 4, she said «I’ll see what I can do». I forgot to mention this was 6 pm on a Wednesday night, so the restaurant was half full or empty depending on your point of view. After five minutes we followed the hostess to our table but had to ask for a beer menu.
After sitting in the booth for ten minutes our aging hipster waitress showed up. She was full of cheer but not of beer knowledge. When asked basic questions like «what’s it taste like» or «who makes it», our waitress had no answer and she seemed put off when I asked for a few minutes to review the beer menu again. We did eventually decided on a flight of beer and a soda for my friend who does not drink, which the waitress gave him a bizarre look for not having a beer.
We ordered some food but it’s been so long and uneventful that I don’t remember what we had. What topped this evening off is we split a desert and coffees and chatted for a awhile. This must have really upset the waitress as she came buy five or six time asking if we wanted anything else, finally just slapping the table on the check. The best part was she tried add someone exiles tab from the bar on ours.
In summary; beer is good, food is ok, service is the worst I’ve ever had and I’ve been all over the globe… They are worse than the French. Save time and grab a sizer and hit up Dunkin just down the street.

Sign outside said «amazing food.» The food was horrible. Wings were undercooked, burgers were far from impressive… turkey burger had 2 slices of avacado on one side of the burger. The pub burger had a hunk of onion in the middle and it was raw.
Don’t go.

Blackened Chicken Taco salad WAY too salty blackening. Their IPA was weak with a bitter after taste.
I travel on business so I check email, etc during dinner — wifi signal poor and slow.
I don’t recommend this place at all!!!

Fans of the Sea Dogs… figured we’d try the brew pub sharing their name.
Good food, great service and was a busy time of night (7 pm).
Waitress was excellent, always checking on us, and chatty in a good way.
Parking can get tight in the little strip type mall.
We’ll be back, maybe they can get that 5^th star then?

How does a clam app be so good and the same dish for dinner is over cooked for two different people at the same table? Eh service. I Was the beer is good. Fries out of a bag. Really? Can’t mess up a lobster. New place and GREAT for North Conway.

The atmosphere was great. They have a bar side and a more family restaurant side where there is a little waiting area with a couple of chairs and a fire place that made things cozy.
The fried pickles were tasty. They offered interesting burgers and were good at accommodating changes (turkey instead of beef). We ordered the garlic aioli burger with fried onions, piled high shoestring fries, and the beer burger with beer cheese sauce, beer braised onions and beer mustard.
We ordered the Mac and Cheese for our 3 year old and I’m always happy when something comes out that isn’t Kraft! They actually made the dish with a mild cheese and spiral noodles. Toddler approved!

Really nice job updating the inside and service was great. Prices were reasonable.
The food was a bit underwhelming. We started with the fried pickles and buffalo tenders. Nothing wrong with either, but I’ve had better in plenty of other places. I had the Mediterranean Steak & Artichoke Salad, It was tasty enough, but I only had four tiny (and I mean tiny) pieces of steak.
Overall it wasn’t bad, but I feel there are quite a few other establishments in the area that are locally owned that give you better food. This won’t be in our regular rotation of restaurants to visit while we are in the area.

Staying in Bartlett for the summer! I went with a larger group of people (10) and we had excellent service. Prompt and friendly!
I had a special of chicken and waffles that was wonderful. Very succulent and satisfying.
The IPA was wonderful and cannot wait to return to have it all again.
The merchandise is also very cute and comfortable. Got myself a long sleeve that I’ve worn very regularly!
