I was lucky enough to successfully obtain a valley original gift certificate last Thursday for McGraths. Dropped in today before heading back to Dorchester. My wife had the steak and cheese and I went with the asian wings and haddock corn soup. Everything was outstanding. A coffee drink and blueberry pie with a heaping pile of vanilla ice cream was the exclamation point on a wonderful lunch.

Went there last nite did not have a good experience. Sat in a small room with a large party of 10 and one table on the side. We ordered the hamburgers which were overcooked, cold and the onion rings and French fries were cold. Not the best experience. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area to visit.

Had the best time with Tom and the McGrath family on a quiet Monday night. Friendly local place. Great selection of local draft beers and mixed drinks. Food was«off the chart», Ruben potato skins are a must try. Nightly dinner specials can’t be beat. Looking forward to my next visit and try steak, chops and seafood; they offered all 3 in last night’s special. It’s easy to miss this place when driving through North Conway, if you drive by — turn around and go back! IMHO well worth it.

French onion soup was very good. Burger was average and over cooked. Fries and service were very poor. Will not be back.

Way below White Mountains hospitality standard, and the spirit! Most staff, except for the host, seemed aloof and discriminating although nice towards certain clients, atmosphere was sleepy and dark, and turns out the happy hour they posted does not include wine which was pretty awful anyway. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone especially single travelers! Blah.

Went to McGrath’s this past week while on vacation. It is a complete hidden gem! Looked packed but they have a small parking lot so wait time for a table wasn’t too bad. Everything we ordered from the nachos to the burgers to the yummy dessert was out of this world! We ended up eating there two more times during the week before we left. ITISSERIOUSLYTHATGOOD!!! While talking to other people at the bar, they also agreed. It is completely family owned and operated, they are so friendly and really care that you have the best experience! I will definitely be back to visit the McGrath’s next time I am in town!

Had some great steak here — the tips(yum!) and the ribeye were both tender and flavorful. The Gorgonzola butter is worth the add-on. We got green beans instead of starches and they were fresh and cooked perfectly. Great meal and there was some good live music playing too.

It’s been a few years, so it’s time for an update. I don’t know why we don’t visit here more often when we are in the area. It’s always a really good experience. We were going to go across the street but the lot was overflowing so decided to visit McGrath’s. The food is just as good here as it is across the street(maybe even a little better) and the beer and cocktail list is solid. I had a Pear Pressure martini and it’s the best pear martini I’ve ever had. On the recommendation of our server(who was great) we started off with the appetizer special — hummus, chili and black bean dip served with housemade pita chips. It was great! I had the Reuben panini and it was also delicious. It was overflowing with filling. My husband had the Prime rib special and he really enjoyed it. This is a really solid option for the area and I’ll try not to let two years pass before I go back.

Fantastic chips, and a gigantic burger. Service was fast, and the place was pretty dead for a Saturday afternoon. The place looks really neat on the inside. Plus, a bonus for transgender travelers, they have gender neutral restrooms available.

Service and food were better than expected. Shared an appetizer of scallops that were very tasty and the presentation was very eye-catching. I had the lobster mac and it was huge, delish, and filling.

Great American casual dining. Best service, attentive, friendly. Kid friendly. About 7 beers on draft including a few NH locals. Portions were very good.
