About four staff members in sight on phones and high fiving, yet none of us could even get a refill. The food is so overpriced. Kids meal options 6.99 and classic adult options like tacos will run you closer to 13. The food was just okay. I don’t know if it felt like a long time for the food to come out because we were miserable or if it really did take forever. My kids’ chocolate milks arrived in smudged glasses with the chocolate syrup just resting in the cup, not mixed in at all. My kids liked stirring it with their straws but I found it weird. I asked for water and I got a dirty glass, no straw, and the water was lukewarm and probably straight out of the tap. None of the waters had ice even though the day was sweltering. I wasn’t touching my mouth to the glass so I waited for someone to come around so I could ask for a straw. No one came. When my husband was finished with his coke he gave me his straw. Eventually the food arrived and while we had someone at the table we could ask for straws. Food was meh. I would have preferred to eat a sandwich in my hotel room. And it wouldn’t have cost me 50USD like this did for a family of four(I even shared a plate with my daughter). When we were ready to leave we had to flag down the staff for some boxes and a check and all that common courtesy. Absolutely awful and miserable.

Waited 40 minutes for two of three orders. The third order came later. I had to get up and find someone to bring us utensils. After a long day this was a drag. They were busy but this wasn’t even the busiest time of year. Hire more help.

Amazing restaurant with amazing food and service. We were a group of 8 and asked for many different things, nonstop and the service was impeccable! The food was the best we had near breck and copper. We were all positively impressed. I HIGHLYRECOMMEND this authentic Mexican restaurant! Delicious!

Went in, waited five minutes. Didn’t get a menu, bar tender didn’t even notice us. Only thing that gave this place one star is the chairs were pretty nice, it was the only thing that kept my stomach from killing itself. Would not come again. Go to the pizza place a crossed the walk. It’s cheap pizza slices are huge and always good

With our first visit to Copper Mountain, this was a nice welcoming meal after a day of traveling. Settled in the cozy village, it’s obviously walking distance which is probably the best part of all. I ended up splitting a mediocre margarita with my mom, because there was so much sweet and sour I couldn’t finish it all. Their menu at first glance is really tempting. I’m used to Oklahoma where the queso is included in the meal, so we ended up placing an order because we weren’t a big fan of their salsa. It’s like a dark brown(green chili base I’m sure), but I didn’t love the flavor. However, I will say, their queso is white and it was really good… although it was almost cold. It was hard for me to narrow down what I wanted for my meal, but I ended up going with the Shrimp Chipotle. My husband and my dad got the fajita quesadillas, and my mom got the chicken fajitas. I will warn you, these are THE biggest portions/plates I have ever seen. My husband and my dad probably ate like two pieces of their quesadillas, and our whole party of 11 probably took home half of their meal. I think everybody was pleasantly surprised with the taste of the food, but you might have to get past the prices. Personally, I think they were priced a little high. But overall, my meal was really good, pretty rich in taste, but we all have lunch for tomorrow. I know if we’re craving Mexican within the next few days, we don’t have many choices here. but I don’t think that would change the fact that we would come here again!

Great Mexican food. Quick service and great staff. Large selection of margaritas. Salsa is a smoky salsa. Large selection of dishes.

Food was good. Margaritas were good. Service was great! Considering this is in the center of a ski resort, I think its worth the $$. The Carnitas de Puerco and the Hornitos margarita were our favorites.

Unfortunately, this was the worst, worst, Mexican food I have ever eaten. Hungry and hopeful for a good meal upon arriving at Copper, we chose Casa Sanchez over some other choices. Honestly the food was terrible. Probably should have had our first clue when the chips and salsa arrived at the table, the salsa brown and green, obviously a green chile base with huge chunks of onions, veggies and other curious ingredients. Entrees arrived, which looked OK, but they were so disappointedly bad, bland and odd flavored. $ 90 later for a party of four, we left after a few bites and loosing our appetites. Nothing authentic besides the waitress barley speaking english. Wish I could I give it a better review, but If I would have know this information before hand, I would have steered clear! I am giving this a one star for the Cold bottled beer I did enjoy.

It may have been because I had just run 6 miles before eating here, but it was amaze! The chile relleno was so delicious. The jalapeños were also very fresh and spicy.

I only give this restaurant 2 stars for their Copper Margarita. It’s pretty spiked and a little zingy but it works. However, Casa Sanchez’s customer service, food, and overall atmosphere make it about as much of a «one-star» of a restaurant one could come by. Also make sure to call before you plan on going because they often close early. But that was only the first two times I tried dining there.

This review is for their location at 422 Harrison St in Leadville. I couldn’t find it on Unilocal. We wandered in about 10 minutes after checking into our hotel on a rainy June Friday. Apparently they had JUST opened. Or reopened after being closed a while? Or quite possibly they open one location in summer and the other in winter? We got conflicting stories all over town. In any case, there was some disorganization that occurred, but I’m giving them a pass for opening night errors. Chips and salsa were complimentary. And the salsa was amazing. I have been trying and trying to find a similar salsa ever since The Tortilla Factory in Herndon, VA closed. This one was a little different, but as close as I’ve ever come. I was rather excited about that, and got more excited when I realized the jar on the table was advertising the fact that I could buy some and take it home. So I did! Of course I got chicken fajitas, which were almost perfect, except for the lack of cheese. I was very pleased, and disappointed that I’d finally found my favorite kind of Mexican restaurant in Colorado and it was 3 hours from home! Apparently they are open for breakfast, but their breakfast menu is pretty mundane and not-Mexican. This will definitely be a stop the next time we are in the area. Be sure to check out their bar area, which has a surprise under the see-through floor — an old well! Avoid the bathroom at all costs if you ever have repetitive ‘can’t find a working toilet’ nightmares. You walk in, and there is a toilet IMMEDIATELY to the left of the door. A few steps straight ahead is a sink, and when you get there and look to your right, surprise! Another toilet, poorly hidden behind a low folding screen. Then you’ll stand there for a few minutes debating double toilet/no stall toilet usage and hand washing etiquette before you turn around and lock the door before someone else comes in and things turn really awkward. Just pretend it’s a one-toilet bathroom and act accordingly.

This is a little gem in Copper. We’ve been driving to Frisco for Mexican food and decided to give Casa Sanchez a shot. We were very pleasantly surprised with the food and service. The salsa and food tasted great and their Margs were awesome!

This is an amazing restaurant. It has great food, great drinks and the service is top notch. Eating in the mountains can sometimes be expensive and low quality. But not here. The food is really solid. I was sad when the chinese restaurant that had been there for 25 years moved out. But this has been a great replacement and it’s so good to see it busy. The carne asada burrito is fabulous. Deep fried ice cream is also a wonderful hit. We had ours as an appetizer. If you are looking for a good place to eat at Copper, this should be your choice. Much better than Endos or Incline or the Alpine Bistro.

We went here during busy season so the wait was about an hour — no worries, we gave them a phone number and went to another bar for a beer to kill time. The only complaint is that the hostess taking names for the wait list didn’t speak English very well, making it challenging to figure out what the wait time was going to be. I ordered a carne asada burrito and it was huge! Tasted good, but definitely not the best I’ve ever had. Just like about every other place in Copper mountain, I would go back, but only because there are minimal dining options. Pros: it’s warm inside, they serve margs Cons: carne asada burritos are sub par, margs taste like they came from a mix

I give the food a 4star but service a 2 star. The girl behind the bar is very rude. The food is really good and very large portion sizes. My husband and I shared! We have a place here in Copper so we have ate here a few times. Service is SLOW so if your not in a hurry you will enjoy it!

Was concerned about the prices, but the portions are large and can certainly be shared. The salsa for the table is unique and delicious. We had a variety of tacos and they were all very good. The staff was friendly and attentive.

The carnitas were top notch! Good chips and salsa and all around very good. Really given the serious lack of options in copper this would be a 5 if you only judge copper village.
