Authentic and delicious food, beautiful service, & great atmosphere in the heart of Coral Gables. I had the pleasure of dining tonight(Friday night) at Caffe Abbracci. I would be more than happy to walk you through my joyful experience with a good friend. As we walked in, I couldn’t help but notice the little bar hidden to the side of the entrance of the restaurant. We peeked in and a hostess from behind us then greeted us and asked if we would like to sit at the bar. The guest I was with wanted to have dinner in the dining room and we did just that. As we were seated you can’t help but notice the beautiful crystal ceiling structure and the wall structures made of glass. Absolutely, stunning! I would love too see more of the art incorporated more into the somewhat outdated décor. Nonetheless, this doesn’t change anything about my 5⁄5 rating. The server greeted himself and indulged in a pleasant conversation with us. As he walked away another gentleman came shortly and left bread/breadsticks(from Italy) at our table. LOVEIT! Simply, because I pay attention to little detail such as products being made in Italy in an Italian inspirited restaurant. As we indulged in breadsticks we ordered our drinks which came out quickly and to perfection. Moments passed and our server then grabbed our order. I ordered the chicken breast and the guest I was with ordered eggplant with a side of spaghetti with olive oil. As we conversed the food came out nice and hot :) The first bite I took I was in awe from how delicious the chicken breast was and let me tell you I go to many different restaurants and don’t think I’ve ever had chicken this deliciously prepared with the most delicious side of artichokes! BRAVO for making such a simple yet delicious dish Caffe Abbracci! My guest very much enjoyed dinner as well. After we finished our dinner, we ordered desert. We ordered The Apple Tart which was light and delicious! What I really love about this this restaurant that sets it apart is: the menu, the service and the food. Hands down, the best restaurant in Coral Gables along with Hillstone! Way to go! This was my first time here and it will certainly not be my last!

Great night out with friends. Warm reception when we arrived. Followed by authentic italian dishes. Fried calamari appetizer and scallop appetizer was amazing My wife ordered the pear tortellini which she loved and I ordered the linguini with clams. The owner Nino came over to say hello and introduce himself. You can feel the passion that he puts into his restaurant. Great dessert of berries and cappuccino. Can’t wait to go back.

What is up with some of the whiner reviewers who have negatives here, are you serious? I guess some people want franchise action, not me, the owner seats you, you’ll recognize him as he looks like Jay Leno. I say to him later — so do people tell you that you look like Jay Leno, he says dryly — «every day», I come back with, well you’re a much better looking guy than Jay, and he smiles and shoots back — «thank God for that!» with a chuckle. This is an old school place and the service and food are outstanding, my mouth is watering just thinking about this place and I’m not hungry at the moment and I’m 300 miles away in Orlando. I mean I love this place. If you had one bad experience tell Jay Leno about it or give it a second shot. If you want old world charm like when Coral Gables was one of the most happening spots in Miami or Florida for that matter, this is the place. I recommend the whiners try the nearest Maggiano’s, this isn’t that big franchised spot so expect a small original place with unique everything. If you have a special date, bring her or him here and know it will be special. I mean get with it man!

Well trained staff, good food, fast service. However one is left with the feeling that they want you in and out as quickly as possible. Loved the gesture of being greeted by the owner/mangager at the door. Nice simple décor and atmosphere.

First of all, the food is amazing! Service is great! I had a chicken Parmesan and it was perfect! Desserts are good and they have good waiters which are very helpful. I greatly recommend this restaurant!!!

My father & I came here as a last minute Christmas Eve Supper. I was thrilled to get a reservation within the hour. When we arrived we were greeted & sat immediately. They had a special holiday menu, & a wonderful selection of specials, along with their regular menu. My father & I split the eggplant appetizer, and we each had the pasta special fettuccini with lobster & mussels. The pasta was obviously home made noodles, the sauce was perfection, & seafood was fresh & delicate. We paired the meal with a few drinks & finished with dessert. The service was excellent & the food was as good as it was 20 years ago. I’m happy to report that’s it’s still good after all these years.

I consider this restaurant to be the most high class one in town. If you want to see Miami’s jet set, this is the place to go. Food is great, very pricy, and what bothers me is the noise inside the restaurant. Definitely five stars

Great traditional Italian restaurant in coral gables. You can’t go wrong with the pasta in this restaurant. Lots of history too.

I was recommended to come to this restaurant by my family, so I expected the experience was going to be great. My first impression of the restaurant was that it was small and noisy. We were greeted by our server a few minutes after and his attitude was kind of strange. He then took our order(not writing anything down) after the third order he had already forgotten mine. Our food came, I ordered a filet mignon medium(it was more like medium done close to well done), my boyfriend really like his veal, and my mom her sea bass. The server never came to our table to check on how we liked our food or to refill our wine. After bringing the check, he waited my my side until I gave him my form of payment, which I thought it was very rude and inappropriate. Overall, I was not really happy with this experience. Not sure I would give it another try.

Always my families go-to Italian restaurant in Coral Gables. This place can get packed so it’s best to make a reservation. They have valet, street metered parking and a metered lot next door. Outside dining and indoor although I prefer indoor since they have a beautiful display of Chihuly glass. The owners and staff are always courteous and attentive, and the food is never below top notch.

Sat at the back of the bar which has a very elegant old world charm. Lots of guys wearing guayaberas and drinking rum. I ordered the Bronzino without the muscles and sauce. They charged me the same, but it was expertly prepared and delicious. My companion ordered the cod which he described as excellent. Freshly popped bottle of proseco and they allowed me to linger for hours talking. Which is why I noticed many of the people who were there when I arrived still at their tables. Hard to imagine this was a Wednesday at 2:00 pm and not a Saturday night. A staple of the Gables for decades and I can see why.

Staple in Coral Gables. Went there for lunch today and once again it didn’t disappoint. Started off with the mozzarella caprese and it was fresh and delicious. Shared the lobster ravioli(my favorite) and the seafood linguini. All of their ravioli dishes are excellent but the lobster one is my favorite. Seafood was fresh and good quality, pasta was cooked perfectly, sauce was a bit oily but still light and flavorful. The profiteroles are a must for dessert!!! Great wine selection as well! Highly recommend if you are in the gables.

Went for a graduation dinner celebration with very high hopes. I have always heard great things about this place and was anxious to try it. We started with a penne pasta in a red sauce which tasted like cafeteria food at best. The salad was pretty standard, certainly nothing special. The entrée was a snapper with a red sauce with capers and olives. The fish was over cooked but the flavor wasn’t bad. Overall I found the place to be super tacky, overcrowded and serves mediocre food. Don’t waste your money and try some real Italian food somewhere else.

This place is a family favorite. Excellent service, food, and overall experience. The owner is always there to greet you and ensure a top dining experience. He knows his clientele and has a loyal following. The waiters are also friendly and long time employees. The décor is authentic and tasteful modern Italian. They are always willing to customize menu offerings. If you want a side of pasta with your steak they can make it happen. Furthermore the prices are very reasonable considering the superior food quality. I am honestly surprised that he has not raised prices when the other places around are higher priced for lower quality food(I.e. randazzos). This is a great place for dinner with family, friends, clients, business associates, or a romantic date. The profiteroles for desert are a must!!!

The first thing that I noticed walking in is the lack of racial diversity in the staff. They are all male latinos. I would implore this business to hire more women and to work on their racial diversity. The next thing I noticed is the beautiful décor with the lovely glass sculptures on the walls. The lentil soup was perfectly seasoned in a chicken broth with an infusion of red wine. I could eat this soup everyday. The Caesar salad was crisp and fresh with homemade croutons and sardines. The chicken parmasean was expertly prepared pounded as flat as a sheet of paper and plenty of cheese. The pasta was perfectly cooked with the lovely marinara sauce that was perfectly seasoned.

I’ve come here for several special and non-special occasions… And I love it. There is a continuity of service and quality that is never lacking. Really, coming here will make you celebrate any day you’re breathing. First, you are greeted by a very warm host who I’m pretty certain has been there for years. Once you are seated you experience a tradition of excellent service. I know, it may be a foreign term for some… But these servers are actually trained well and care about their job. They will explain everything, alter any dish and are just so extremely attentive(but not annoying). Everyone working there knows to move to the side when a guest is walking to or from their table. Yeah, it’s old school and I love it. Plus, the food is just so good. It’s simple and elegant, great quality and worth every. cent. I got the swordfish with white wine sauce and double veggie, it was so light and delicious. Dessert was a pear tart and it was divine. Just to bring it home– there’s a table full of Latin men, they sit outside drinking and smoking cigars. Every time I’ve been here they are here eating dinner. These dudes must come 4+ times a week. There is something that keeps them coming back… Come out and see what it is.

Came for lunch today with a group. The ambience is okay. The front room is crowded and loud. Fortunately we were in the back room, which wasn’t. I ordered the Veal Scaloppini Boscaiola. It comes with soup or salad. I asked for the Caesar Salad. The flavors were good, but the lunch price at $ 20.00 is about 50% higher than it should be for what you get. The service was good until the end. I get the bill and they charged $ 7.50 for my salad. He said that only the house salad is included. First of all he didn’t tell me it was extra when I ordered. Secondly, the cost of the house salad is $ 7.50 on the menu and so is the Caesar, so shouldn’t it be a wash. Needless to say the tip was $ 7.50 less than it would have been if he had taken the charge off, which he refused. I wouldn’t recommend going unless you like overpaying for just average meals.

Good food, good service, clean bathrooms. I am told that it is pricey, but I went god a work function and my meal was paid by my boss. So I don’t know if the prices. It did appear high end by the clientele –suits and fancy cars. I had the salmon and pasta… salmon was seasoned well, pasta was a bit over cooked — but I think that had more to do with our lunch party starting late. It is an easy place to find in the Gables. One star removed because there isn’t free parking. They do offer valet service for $ 7, use it; the lot parking will cost you $ 3 for 30minutes.
