Dinner was amazing. My porkchop, recommended to me by the waiter, was the best I’ve ever had. My wife’s ravioli was just as good. The wait staff was very friendly and we even had the owner stop by, which was very nice. I will certainly be coming back.

I’m shocked at the reviews. We’ve eaten here several times, and each time the food has been fresh and delicious. Since they are listed on , why not buy a certificate and try for yourself? The pizza is $ 14. It’s huge, and will feed 2 adults. As for the pasta, my friend and I both had the Penne with tuna and arugula. It was superb! We were both practically licking the bowl! The desserts are sinfully delicious. The restaurant is absolutely lovely, As for the service, we have found our servers to always be extremely accommodating. Really, what more could you want???

The food here is ok– the pizza tastes great but the pasta is very standard and lacking in flavor. I would rate it a 2 but the service was absolutely terrible– one of the worst I’ve experienced. There was no attention to any detail and it took 20 minutes just to get our bill. Very disappointing experience, especially for the price.

We went here with a groupon and the reservation process was easy. The staff was nice and helpful, but overall the food was not very good and was overpriced. I am glad we had a groupon otbherwise I would not have been happy paying such a large bill for subpar food. Also we had to wait almost an hour between ordering and getting our food.

We went to this restaurant for a family event. All I can say that after our experience there, we will never set foot there again. The management crammed everyone into a little hall which clearly was not intended for the amount of people attending. This meant that getting from the front of the hall to the end was a challenge even for the waiters. The staff seem very disorganized. The air conditiong was broken so it was very hot and the ceiling fan was also broken so everyone was miserable. The kicker was that the food was unremarkable. I certainly would not recomend this restaurant, even to my worst enemy.

First some quick background: Much of my professional career has been in the restaurant industry, in corporate management as well as an owner of a small restaurant chain. So I am a true fan of the industry, recognize and appreciate what it takes to be good, and am truly rooting for every dining occasion to be great. Having said that, it takes quite a bit for restaurant to make me angry, not to mention still angry 24 hours later. Flat out — Da Vittorio ripped us off. I visited Da Vittorio last weekend with my girlfriend and two young children. Our consensus opinion was that the food was unremarkable and, in the case of the pastas, under-flavored. More on that later. That alone would have been a bummer, however I almost had a heart attack when the waiter deposited a $ 234 bill only table. And, given that two of the four people had pasta for their main course, this felt like absolute highway robbery. And the way that the restaurant manipulated-up the bill was unconscionable. 2 examples: 1. $ 43 charge for the veal chop main course. We were unaware of the price of this item, as it was a nightly special. However, there was another veal chop main course on the menu, priced at $ 25 and, given the special was simply a grilled veal chop(i.e. not with lobster, truffles or gold flakes) I assumed the special would be in the $ 25-$ 28 range. This was clearly big blatant effort to extract 72% more money out of the main course selection.(By the way, this is even more expensive than the larger and much tastier veal chop at Smith & Wollensky Grill!) 2. My children are 9 and 11 year old girls. They have«adult» taste buds and always order off the grown-ups menu. Our waiter politely took their order for entrée sized pasta dishes and cheerfully collected their half eaten entrées at the end of the meal. Only later did we overhear from another table that half-portions of every pasta dish were available. Never once did our way to suggest this which was either a horrendous oversight or one more attempt to jack up the final bill. So, by the time we’d innocently eaten dinner, and the restaurant added on tax and their mandatory 18% gratuity, our total was $ 234, or $ 58.50 per person. And we didn’t even have dessert or coffee. For food that was fine in quality but dull in preparation and presentation. For cocktails that were ill-prepared(it appeared at one point that our waiter was actually making the drinks, as there did not seem to be a bartender). In a dining room that was pleasant but uninspiring, and virtually empty on a Saturday night at 8:00PM. My suggestion is that, in the event you wish to spend over $ 200 on dinner, there are plenty of fantastic establishments that will really give you a memorable meal. Or, if you’re just looking for passable Italian food might I suggest saving $ 170 and heading over to Olive Garden.

My wife and I had our Valentine’s dinner at Da Vittorio, and overall had a pleasant experience. On the plus side, the maitre d’ was very prompt, very cordial, and very efficient in having us at a table within minutes. Likewise, the wait staff was very pleasant and helpful, and the service excellent(they were there when we needed them, but weren’t intrusive or bothersome). The ambiance was extremely pleasant in a modern Italian sort of way, and we immediately felt very comfortable. One complaint I would have is that because the distance between my chair and the one behind me was small, everytime a waiter or anyone walked behind me they would bump into the leg of my chair which became unbelievably annoying after 4 or 5 bumps. The food was well prepared and tasty and nicely presented, but the portions were small and left me less than satisfied, especially considering that this is a relatively pricey restaurant. When I received my bill, at the bottom were shown 3 different tip amounts. However, when I received the final bill after giving my waiter my credit card, the tip was already written in for me at the highest percentage which I did not appreciate. I believe the tip amount should be left up to the customer. If pricing were more reasonable, the portions a bit larger, and the amount of the tip left up to me, I could become a regular customer. Until then, I’ll just be a once in a great while customer.

Holy mackerel what a place! The pork chop, recommended by our waiter, was quite devine. I ate it up real good. My little lady devoured her ravioli like it was nobody’s business. The owner came and introduced himself, and he was a dapper young man. I enjoyed his conversation, as he spent about 5 minutes laughing it up with us, discussing the good times. We left 0 room for dessert, so unfortunately I cannot discuss that, but I do plan on frequenting this restaurant, as we had the food and time of our lives.

Our first night out in Miami! Coming from LA, our expectations were reasonably high with a restaurant at this price-point and in this location. Ambiance was fine, there were two rooms one of which was very quiet and the other of which had a more lively thrum, which we chose. We got a warm feeling, though we felt like our waiter was giving us a bit of attitude as we asked about menu items. We started with burrata and proscuitto and gnocchi with red sauce. The burrata/proscuitto was unremarkable, both were average. The gnocchi was outstanding. For dinner I had lamb chops over field greens and he had veal saltimbucca. Despite ordering them medium rare, my lamb chops were a bit dry and the greens were overdressed. His dish was«not bad» and he’s pretty picky. Overall, we left feeling like we’d paid for fine Italian dining, but had received only average Italian food. I might go back to give them another chance, but don’t see myself taking anyone I’d want to impress to dine here.
