Shhh… can you keep a secret? Small Tea is my hidden gem. It’s the perfect hideaway in the heart of Coral Gables. If you are anything like me, your favorite time of day is Tea time. When you walk in, it immediately gets your attention. The amazing architecture will captivate your sense of sight and your sense of smell will rejoice in their Scent Station with a selection of 84 teas! If you are looking for the perfect hot tea, you’ll be sure to find it here. Luckily if you are looking for something refreshing all the teas can be iced! My personal favorite is the H10 «Fragrant Explosion» and it’s just that, an explosion of hibiscus and fruit. I love the Jasmine Salad, although pricey at $ 12, I promise they don’t skimp on the salmon. My favorite part is the selection of board games not only can you visit Small Tea to relax and enjoy some tea while you read a book or study but you can also have fun with a friend and challenge yourself in a board game. Tip: They have select Jazz nights. Check their website regularly to see when they will have live music. Grab a Hottie and a Hot Tea, and call it a date night!

I went here yesterday & really enjoyed it. They must have over a hundred tea/tea blends on their menu. They organize them on the menu, depending on whether they’re herbal, green, oolong, etc. They also let you know if they have caffeine & the amount of caffeine. I had the herbal H19 Ginger and Maryann & liked it very much. My mom had an oolong OO2 East Meets West, which was also very tasty. They also have a food menu & a small(but beautifully presented) display with savory filled pastries, tiny desserts, macarons, and croissants. I had the mushroom tartine, which I liked very much. My mom had a very flaky bagel which was covered in every type of seed imaginable. I wonder if they make their own pastries because the bread in my tartine & my mom’s bagel were excellent. She didn’t even need to butter it because it was that good! There are a couple of options for high tea, available in the afternoon. One option brings tea sandwiches and pastries with the pot of tea. Another option includes champagne. I will have to check this out next time! Yes, they also have coffee options, so bring your non-tea drinking friends here. I will be back!

For the architecture, I would give 5 stars. I also like that they have real bread and quality foods. We had brunch here today and ordered different types of bread. Avocado and egg bread, egg and mushroom bread and lox bread. Very tasty! But service seemed to be a little overwhelmed. Our table wasn’t cleaned and our teas came much later that the food. In fact my friend’s tea arrived when she was already done eating. That being said I love that the teas are displayed and that you get to smell them. That helped tremendously making a choice from the big selection. Another nice gimmick was that there were board games and other games such as Jenga available. We enjoyed trying out Small Tea.

Great little spot to chill out on a rainy day. Didn’t know which tea to order it all sounded delish-decided on Pumpkin Chai and a selection of macaroons. Wish we had a location back home!

Spinach pastry was good. Matcha iced tea was basically watered down milk with a hint of matcha. It was so poor that I’m considering running a chargeback on my amex. Service was poor, based on all the other great reviews, we may have caught them on a bad day, but both girls working looked miserable, were not friendly or attentive, one of them was busy txting while I stood there waiting for help. I asked a question about the pastries, she answered and then followed up with a mumbled«Is that it?» I won’t be back.

Five PLUS stars… except who makes such amazing fancy precise computer controlled tea and then offers only COFFEEMATECREAMERSINGLES as the only«milk» option??? I am over the moon beyond charmed with everything about this place. Their writeups. The tea smelling bar with motion sensing lights that illuminate your choices as you reach in for a whif. The layout and wording of the menu and their mission. The salads. The desserts. The phenomenal tea selection. The incredible tea making machines. The décor. The ambiance. And then you get your tea and should you decide to accessorize it, it’s like you’ve entered another land. Frank’s hot sauce sits next to coffeemate creamer singles(not even on ice). There are some squeeze bottles of agave which is nice but this zone is so not on par with the rest of the chicness here. A broad selection of every possible milk, including housemade nut milks and fresh from the cow cream would not have surprised me. — thanks for the reply Daniel! Far from offering milk, one tea tender recommend that the tea I was ordering was so good with«a bunch of creamer packets” — I assumed this was a strange personal quirk until I saw the condiments…

I love tea and was excited to find a place that makes almond milk matcha lattes. Unfortunately, they obviously do not know how to make green tea and matcha because the cup was boiling hot when served to me. That means they didn’t brew at the strict temperature of 70 °C(158°F)-80°C(176°F). This is important because if you brew hotter it burns and all the benefits actually to the opposite. It becomes not healthy as well as bitter. So with that I did not drink the tea and will look elsewhere for any teas that require water not to be boiling hot. The place looks cool I really wanted it to be legit. Loved the cool water boilers. I would still go for black teas. I also had some snacks and they were very good. So just avoid the green teas and matcha.

Small Tea is a quaint tea café located in the heart of Coral Gables. It opened about a year ago and was a great edition to Miami. The décor is striking and really gives it a modern, yet cozy vibe. I have been there many times and love taking friends here. They have a HUGE variety of teas, ranging from herbal to blooming. What makes Small Tea unique is the cutting edge technology. Their front counter boasts very avant garde glass tea steepers that look more like chemistry sets than tea making devices. The tea pots are clever – towering above a tea dispenser to ensure the best pour. Make sure to get a blooming tea in the tea pot for the full experience! For only $ 9 a pot, you can share a pot with a friend. You can even ask for a resteep for another round of tea! They have an extensive menu. You can have your standard tea served hot or cold or you can have a signature drink. The signature drinks are super creative. Try the teagria(tea + fruits) or Arnold Palmer! These are great takes on tea. The café also offers a wide variety of food and pastries. Their pastries are quite small and do not look super filling, but they’re super pretty nonetheless. The staff is quite knowledgable about tea. Ask them anything! They are attentive and love what they do. Small Tea is definitely a game changer for Miami. It opens the world of craft tea and introduces a whole new way to go out drinking in the Gables.

I finally got the chance to come here for the first time last weekend. I came on a Sunday around 2:30PM – not peak time by any means — and there was no line. When you enter the café(unassuming from the outside), you’ll notice it is very dimly lit compared to the bright and sunny Miami outside. There is an ample amount of different seating options — bar highs, booth/chair combo, long tables, and lounge-type seating. My mom ordered the edamame falafel wrap w/salad and I ordered the club house sandwich w/salad as well as a mango black tea. The food/drink came relatively quickly(~ 10 minutes). They didn’t put any milk in my tea(I guess I didn’t ask… but they also didn’t offer), so I had to use half and half. Not a fan of that, but the tea was still fantastic. Flavorful, aromatic, and just how a black tea should be. The food was displayed artfully and was tasty! It is a bit pricey, so not somewhere I would go to regularly for food, but seems like a great study/hangout spot. Free wi-fi, tons of seating, and delicious tea. I will definitely come back for afternoon tea(complete with scones and clotted cream) as well as to try more of the food items and many, many, many tea options they offer.

It’s dark and sophisticated. Imagine a Starbucks meets a Mandarin Oriental Hotel lobby. It’s located on a side street in Coral Gables. The menu is eclectic and inconsistent. I had the sashimi salmon salad which was amazing – once I had them remove the fake crab; and my son had a basically inedible cheese wrap. But they were very kind and efficient in returning the wrap for another salad. And we both left very happy customers. This in large part was due to Debbie the lady taking our order. The reason it gets four stars instead of five is that on two occasions I mentioned they were out of paper towels in the bathroom and neither time did anyone put more paper towels in there. The bathrooms were dirty. Would I go back? Absolutely. Looking forward to it.

What a hidden gem in Coral Gables! I stopped by after a workout and had an iced tea. I had no idea how wonderful a proper iced tea could be! Nor did I realize how many wonderful tea choices there could be. The ambiance is very calming with great dećor throughout. In fact, their organic style has given me ideas for my own home(tree branch with moss). They also feature delicious snacks to accompany your beverage of choice. Plus, the staff is quite knowledgeable about all of their delicious teas. Bar Stools are the only negative at Little Tea. They are VERY uncomfortable, sadly(they’re so cute). Otherwise, what a really neat place. Dozens and dozens of teas to suit any fancy. Plus, they steep their teas at just the right temperature for just the right time!

If you are tea lover like myself then come here and you will feel in tea heaven. There are so many choices… I had trouble making up my mind. The place is cool and modern, perfect for setting up a work station while sipping on some hot tea and having one of their paninis. The staff is nice and courteous and prices are reasonable. Great new addition to the gables.

On their tea menu, there’s a note that they want you to feel relaxed. That’s exactly how I felt as soon as I walked in. It smells like a calming spa; and the lights are dimmed but not like romantic dinner dim but calming to match the smell. Take in more smells at the«bar» on the left, where they have ALL their loose leaf teas out for your nose’s pleasure. Grab the tea menu to match which jar is which, and make your decision. There’s a large selection, and no one is rushing you. Ask the friendly staff questions, and they’ll help you narrow it down. There is also a food menu and a pastry case, so you can grub on something with your tea. I’ve only had 3 flavors so far, but I plan on coming back multiple times to try the rest!

Whether you fancy a cup of tea or you’ve never had one — small tea is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the gables. In an attempt to broaden my horizons, i decided to give it a try and it didn’t dissapoint. When you walk in there is a noticeble pleasent scent that’s far from overbearing. The layout and décor is also really nice, kinda dark and chic. Everyone that works here is fairly attractive too — for disgusting hippies /hipsters that is(idk why i’ve had so many runins with hippies recently). While i was in line — one of the brewers asked if i knew what i wanted. I’m guessing i was noticeably lost in the sauce. She recommended something and advised that i should go smell the selections off the shelf behind me… because teas taste how they smell… obviously. i knew that. She also passively insulted me for not being a hipster when i asked for the wifi password, but i found it really amusing. Who knew they had a sense of humor? I decided on the«H12 — paper umbrella». It was mildly sweet and easy to drink for a tea newb. The atmosphere is really relaxing so i took the time so chill and catch up on Unilocal reviews /waste their bandwidth on cat videos. If you really like the tea, they sell the herbs by weight — so you can make it yourself! It is sunday afternoon and most patrons look like they are in their teens. They have a few boardgames in the back of you’re looking to waste some time. Free wifi too — just have to ask for the password. It is also reasonably priced for the area.

I wanted to eat somewhere low key with a friend and when Small Tea popped up as a nearby location, I had to check it out. I immediately fell in love with the ambiance of the place. Dim lighting and a mellow atmosphere was exactly what I came in looking for. The girls behind the counter were extremely friendly when I explained it was my first time. They pulled out the tea menu and the food menu, and to be honest, everything sounded amazing. With such a wide variety of iced and hot tea, it was hard to come to a decision. I ended up ordering a lavender based tea and the Burrata + Roasted Tomato with a side salad. My choices were absolutely delicious! The dressing for the salad made me crave more salad, which is a rare thing. The tea was heavenly and my sandwich was delicious! My only minor complaint about the sandwich is that I wanted more tomatoes. Overall, it’s a great spot to catch up with a friend, bring your laptop and get work done, and have a yummy bite! P. S. On Monday nights, they have a jazz band performing, which I will be checking out on my next visit!

Small, but mighty! This tea shop delivers both on flavor and presentation. From its enticing décor to the fragrant aromas of tea blends in the air, it’s a great place to meet and catch up with a friend, curl up in the back with a book, or simply order your tea to go. I could find any excuse to pass through here, and if I worked any closer I’d probably have tried all their salads and sandwiches by now. I love that walking in here is always a different experience for my senses; sometimes it’s floral, other times more citrusy, but always captivating. And I especially appreciate the knowledge of the workers here when it comes to recommending something new. I tend to order non-caffeinated teas so I’ve learned to sniff around the Herbal and Rooibos teas labeled H and R, respectively. My favorites are R04(Beautiful Collision) because of the creaminess from the orange and yogurt granules, and H08(Blossom Buddy) for its fruitiness. On one visit we were introduced to M02(Mega Rich) and suggested we try with almond milk. Perfectly sweet(and caffeinated)! Their salads and sandwiches are also very delicious. Great portions, by the way. They can easily be shared… if you absolutely have to. You may not want to especially if you’re trying their brie and green apple salad. There’s so much to love about this place. It truly is like walking into a whole new, small world.

We had just walked in and the scent in this place is unbelievable welcoming. I could be there all day. Then they have dim lights, friendly staff, comfortable seats, a bunch of cool gadgets to make the teas, not-loud-music, healthy full-flavored food, cool presentation, and so so many different teas. Once you come in you can smell all of their teas, then you order and they take your food to wherever you are seating. And one more thing, people seem to really like working there. Everyone was smiling the whole time and they are all willing to help you in any way. We ordered the B08 and the G05 teas, both fruity. You can sweeten your tea with either honey, agave nectar, sugar, w. e your heart desires. We also had the dip trio and the falafel sandwich. Sabroso! Long story short: i cannot wait to re-visit.

Love this place! I work a couple of blocks down and had been hearing great things, so I finally stopped by for lunch. Don’t let the dim lights fool you! You’ll leave feeling light and satisfied all around with the simple & well-crafted dishes, friendly & helpful service, relaxed ambiance and unique experience. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and offered a breakdown of how it all works. They also have a rewards system through FiveStars. I lost track of time sniffing all the containers at the tea station, each one more tantalizing than the next. It’s hard to choose but there’s definitely something for everyone. Their brewing process is very unique and the food Is made fresh. I had the jasmine tea smoked chicken salad(with mixed greens, wakame, sesame seeds and miso dressing) and was blown away by the flavors and portion size. For my tea, I opted for the iced A05 — Chill a Bit(spearmint, ginger, rosehip, hibiscus, etc.) which was refreshing and smooth. I’ll be back to try some of their sandwiches(bonus: breakfast is served all day!).

I immediately noticed this place pop up in the Gables but was nervous to make my way inside(something about the dimly lit atmosphere scared me). As the five star reviews continue to pile up, I knew I it was time to experience it for myself. Now, you’re in here for the tea. They have over 80 different varieties which can be intimidating but they’re divided by category(think black, green, matcha, etc) and then explained in detail with notes about the flavors and caffeine content of each. You can get them iced or hot and if you’re not sure what’s appropriate, the staff will lead you to make the right choice. I know I like mate so went with the M03, Freshology, which was fruity and floral. For eats, they a wide variety of sandwiches, salads and snacking plates. I got the BCN sandwich(named after Barcelona) with crushed tomato, EVOO, manchego cheese and Serrano ham. With one bite, I was transported back to my time in Spain and oh so happy. The sandwich was pretty big and I was able to save half for the next day. It was served with Terra Chips but I saw the guy next to me got salad instead, which I would definitely ask for next time. Now, everything here is prepared fresh so you’ll have to wait a little bit for both tea and food so just have that in mind. It’s a great spot to get work done or have a meeting. There are outlets below the seats which is great if you need to plug in, and wifi is readily available and strong. I’m happy to see it has caught on among the Gables working crowd and look forward to bringing more people here for some tea and snacks!
