I ate at the Tomato Patch with my mom just a few days ago. We were seated very quickly and the wait was not long, and it was at around 1pm. There was not a lunch rush while we were there. The staff was friendly and engaged. I ordered the chicken tenders as my entrée, and they gave me SOMANY!!! I couldn’t eat them all! They were really good though. I took them home and I ate them for dinner. Anyways. The wait for our check was painfully long, but I think that despite that, it was a pretty good lunch!

This place is soooo good! Me and my daughter just went, and she loved it! She usually is stubborn about what type of pizza she eats, but this is in line if her favorites! Great job!

We all thought the pizza was quite good and our server was excellent. She was always there when we needed. We got the cheese, mighty meaty, and hot wing pizza and all three were delicious. Will definitely come back.

absolutely terrible, biggest rip off ever somehow convinced my senior beach week house to order 80 $ of pizza and I’ve never been so disappointed. the«larges» might as well be personal pizzas. what a waste

Pizza and service good! We had the meaty pizza and it was awesome. We will definitely go back. Margaritas were good too.

Customer service is not a priority at this establishment. We called in advance to check on whether or not they could accommodate a child with a severe peanut allergy. The person who answered the phone simply said that«the kitchen was very large and there are many ingredients back there so he really didn’t know.» With all of the choices of restaurants in the Outer Banks, this is not one who cares about their customers especially those with life threatening allergies!

This has become a tradition for my family when we come to the Outer Banks. We have to either order food from here to take back to our house or dine in to start off our vacation right. This time around we opted to dine in and not feel like we were being rushed around. Let me just say that the only downside here is that you are not sure exactly what door to use when you enter. There is a «front door» and a «side door.» We entered through the«side door» and when approached by the hostess we were told that we should have entered through the«front door.» If this was such a big hassle they should post a sign on either door with directions on where and why you are to enter that door.(«Side door» is for pick up and bar, «front door» is for dining in) Once seated we were immediately greeted and handed menus. The server came back often and was a delight to have as our server. She always had a smile on her face and was ready with a wisecrack whenever we needed it. I enjoyed her immensely and hope that the next visit she will still be there. Our orders were all placed and we waited a bit for it to arrive. Note to the wise, don’t try and order four pizzas for your table and expect them all to fit on the tabletop. I decided I would be a little adventurous compared to the other members in my party and got the bacon cheeseburger pizza. A good mix of burger, bacon and cheese on their crispy crust made for a belly full of satisfaction. Was it salty? Yes, but not as overbearing as you would think. I washed it down with a local craft beer and I was set for the night. I even took some home with me. Always a good start to a vacation when you don’t have to cook yourself a meal the first night you are here.

Coming from upstate NY I have high expectations for pizza, every time we travel south we struggle to find good pizza. But this was good pizza! I was really impressed especially with the flavor of the crust. Loved the loaded fries with their homemade ranch.

We stopped in on a Sunday for some pizza and wings, place was pretty much empty place was clean it has a dining room section in a bar section. Pizza was like decent size for a large noticed appointment with plentiful toppings. Wings were OK reasonable size buffalo sauce was good and hot. We had a calamari for an appetizer it was cooked just right in the sauce for that was good. Service was OK and overall visit was good probably would again if in mood for pizza. They also have other items on the menu some Italian favorites some sandwiches and stuff of that nature.

We visited this restaurant last night, were greeted by a super friendly hostess. We had a fantastic dinner with our young daughter, given crayons/cartoon paper and a kids menu. We ordered the fully loaded fries topped with BACON, wow! The pizza was really good and the on tap beer selection had something for everyone in our group. Appreciate the fast polite service and a great meal. Perfect for families!

Starting off dinner by telling me they don’t have anymore of one of the ingredients is never a good way to start. So I was already upset because they didn’t have my first choice. I then chose the veggie calzone as my second option. It was a large portion and I liked the addition of feta cheese. However, there was a lot of raw onions in it which I simply could not eat. I then got tiramisu to go and it tasted horribly stale. Too much disappointment. Besides the food being less than great, the service was bad as well. We were rushed, which is why I felt I had to take my dessert to go(I was never offered dessert either). Plus, the light bulb above our table was flickering the entire time. The décor is also lacking with mostly plastic table cloths. They have a good variety of choices on their menu but based on my experience, I can’t say you should go.

Standard Italian restaurant. This place is in a nice location and has ample parking although some of the spaces are undersized in the era of the SUV. The food is adequate. The buffalo wings were good, the spaghetti was not so good. The specialty is pizza. I didn’t order any and I regret that. The service was nice. The bar was a little off, first serving old wine and the kryptonite of having a dirty ice machine. In a pinch give it a go, but there are other options in this area.

Review based on pizza. Not great pizza. Sort of taste like round elios. Sandwiches are good. Not a great place to order out a bunch of pies for the family though.

Good prices! Kids menu features fun and easy meals. Call ahead and ask what night they let kids make their own pizzas! Baked ziti and salad was good, friendly staff, too.

Very family friendly place. The crab dip was excellent and pizza was not too bad either.

Excellent service from start to finish. The crab dip appetizer was phenomenal but could of used a few more chips bc there was so much dip. The pizza was very good and 2 larges filled 5 of us up with 2 extra slices for tomorrow. Was relatively inexpensive also so that was refreshing since most OBX establishments cost an arm & leg, maybe a few piggy toes too.

We didn’t get the pizza but the lasagna was really good. A good sized portion, zesty sauce and fresh basil on top. The side salad we got was okay but nothing I’d probably get again. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll try the pizza because people around us really seemed to love theirs.

I have many fond memories of Tomato Patch, but that is mostly because I was too young to be critical of a pizza joint. For example, I distinctly remember eating dinner here with my extended family of 20+ and The Lion King was being shown on the TVs. I’m guessing this was circa 1995. At 11, what more could you ask for but The Lion King, pizza and the beach? Golden. If this place were my neighborhood pizzeria, I would probably give one-less star, but it’s a tourist spot. The service is pretty atrocious: unfriendly and unhelpful with high turnover, mostly of young Eastern European immigrants there for the summer. The pizza is good, not great. I like the thicker, buttery crust they use, and they have an array of toppings.(I loved the buffalo chicken pizza, and their veggies were fairly fresh, as far as I could tell.) It’s not gourmet, but it’ll do. The dining room is huge and the pick up time for our pizzas was short(we ordered about 8 pizzas and they were ready in less than 30 minutes. Don’t go here if you’re looking for frills.

Disorganized. Seated immediately. Waited 10 minutes for someone to approach our table with menus. Nearly walked out. There were only a few tables occupied and some of them were wrapping up to go. We could see staff out in the waiting area chatting and not working. The waitress apologized when she arrived but continued that level of service. No water refill. No checking on the table for extended periods of time. Waitress said the Greek salad was large enough for a meal. Two of us ordered it but we were still hungry. My husband was still hungry after his lasagna. My husband ordered more food but waitress left our table before I could give her my extra order. Today my husband said something he ate is not agreeing with him. All breakfast and lunch meals were at home and no one else is sick… If you want a red balloon tied to one chair at each table, this restaurant could work for you. If you want to go home hungry, this could work. Otherwise, I’d chose some place not here.
