Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Loaded hamburgers and they give you a ton of fries. Regular fries can feed 2 so share :).

Definitely not worth the $ 13 I spent for a small burger, fries and drink. Way too expensive!

Having been on a restrictive diet, hamburgers and fries are a rare pleasure I twist off and enjoy when I can’t resist the temptation.
Today was one of these days. I drove 20 miles from home to have a meal @ 5 Guys in Corpus. Wait staff were friendly. I ordered a jalapeño cheese burger and Cajun fries with a glass of lemonade. Yummy! Clean modern atmosphere with these greasy, home style burgers and spicy Cajun taters.

Ok. I’m picky as heck about burgers, This place does it for me. Homestyle burger with 2 meats, plenty of cheese, loaded with extras (all the way for me) and tasty gigantic orders of fries. Need another location on the Southside IMO. Don’t waste ur money at fast food joints when u can have tastiness here.

Very over rated the french fries were seasoned way to much they messed up on my girlfriends order and I thought they were over priced for the portion

I have been a Five Guys fan for over 2 years! The places are awesome and the customization is way cool. I am a Texan and I am loyal to @Whataburger forever but Five Guys rocks.

I didn’t think I would ever knock a Five Guys but this was just to petty. My wife and I stopped by this afternoon for a snack. We ordered a large seasoned fries that sells for $ 4.99 and 2 waters. Of course they wanted to sell us bottled water for $ 2.09 each. We told them we only wanted water from the drink machine as the bottled water they had was Dasani which I find has an odd taste. That is when they lost the 2 points. They gave my wife 2 plastic 5oz cups for water. It wasn’t much larger than the cup they use for ketchup.
Now most places at least give a small drink cup. Since these cups were so small it required several trips to the drink bar for refills. Now I know that is being picky but I expect more from a restaurant of the caliber I have come to expect from Five Guys. What did they gain besides an unhappy customer from this silly policy?

Surprised! I avoided this place because of many personal friends having not so good reviews. I am glad I finally made time to try it out myself! This place easily makes my top 5 burger joints in town

Have to give to the owners. They have reinvented the burger restaurant without adding a whole lot.
The burgers are good, but had better. Nevertheless, the attention to detail is there. A bit pricey to my taste.
Being there done that ! Can check it out of my bucket list.

Cajun fries are delicious and the staff are always super friendly and nice. Love it.

As weird as it sounds, this is the only place I can get a burger that doesn’t make me feel bloated and miserable when I’m done. Maybe it’s the peanut oil or the fresh ingredients, I don’t know. The burgers are always juicy and never dry. One regular order of french fries will feed 2 people easy. This location has the friendliest staff.

Five guys only gets two stars from me today. In the past, it was good, but quality at this Corpus location seems to have dropped off, and here is why. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger for myself, and my wife also ordered the same. When I opened my wrapper, all I had was bun and toppings, with no meat. I look at my wife’s burger, and she has two patties on hers. The cook put my burger pattie on my wife’s burger and left me with nothing. And people who work in the fast food industry want $ 15 dollars an hour???
Continuing on, the mega portion of fries thing is getting real old. I used to like the huge portion of fries, but now, getting my hand and arm scalded by hot grease to get my burger out of the bag just isn’t fun any more. I would imagine the profits would go up if they would back off on the huge portions. A look into the trash container on the way out confirmed this. And they just aren’t crispy either, just greasy, over salted, and kinda mushy. But that is what you get when you leave the peel on the potato and you don’t double fry the fries. I had to get someone to refill the ketchup containers, as apparently these are not monitored anymore.
Also, this location has very poor air conditioning, so expect to be hot and uncomfortable while eating.
Price is on the high side also for burgers and fries.
Like I said, I used to like this place, but there are many other options out there with a more comfortable atmosphere and better prices. I probably won’t go here any more, and I can’t recommend it either

First impressions of walking into a five guys burgers restaurant is a plain Jane menu and restaurant. The restaurant is completely white with red overtones. Five guys serves complimenty peanut appetizers in a barrel however, an uncomfortable feel to eating peanuts in the restaurant because there were no peanut shells to be found on the ground and did not feel comfortable to discard the shells on the floor. Unlike Texas roadhouse with peanut shells covering the floor, five guys had no shells on the floor. Five guys either just cleaned the floor or no customers had eaten the peanuts, either way it was very uncomfortable to discard the shells inside the restaurant.
On to the burgers. I had ordered an Jr bacon cheese burger with fries. I added mushrooms, pickles, green peppers, mustard and ketchup to my burger which was quite delicious. The burger was cooked nicely and the toppings complimented the protein satisfactory. The burger it’s self was delicious, nothing that would stand out among premium burgers but would top most fast food joints. Fries were crisp and fresh. So why the 3 star rating? PRICE! Five guys burgers are quite expensive, I paid almost $ 15 for a burger and fries meal… The taste slightly overpoweres Burger King and mcdonald’s however it’s not worth the price variation.
Overall Five guys is a good burger (not great) however, the price is to expensive to justify a visit over the top 3 burger fast food joints.

Our favorite burger place in Corpus Christi. Love that they will grill onions, green pepper, mushrooms, and jalopenos at no extra cost. Caution about their fries thouvh, a «small» frie order is more than enough for two.

The burger were just ok for me fries tasted fresh and delicious to me. The service was extra ordinary. :) ill be back

I had the bacon cheese burger and tried each of their fries, they offer original and Cajun. Cajun fries were very good, I liked the dry rub. Original fries were okay, I think the only reason I liked the fries with Cajun on them is because the spice made them more bearable to eat. The burger was good and juicy, the bacon had a very good texture. However, for me and a guest, just ordering a burger, fries, and a drink each, it was $ 25. Pricey for what you get. I think if the buns were better I wouldn’t mind it being so expensive.

Stay away. Rude. I will say that I was impressed this time around by 5 guys. This place does make a good burger. Fries were decent, but overly seasoned for my tastes. But the down side was the guy in the photo, big one; was rude as hell, did not give a damn what was going on. Loud. No desire ever to go back.

It’s a Five Guys, so you know what to expect.
And this location delivers. Excellent service, well-​prepared, good staff, and those badass fries you realize would have been enough by themselves, all too late …

The service at this location was exceptional. Seeing the amount of teamwork from the staff during their rush was really awesome to see.
I fell in love with the bacon cheeseburger from here. One of the tastiest burgers I have come across.
The fries here are amazing! I had the regular ones while my boyfriend had the Cajun fries.
