I was at Boca, Corte Madera for dinner on June 15, 2016. Our food was excellent. Service a tiny bit slow, but it looked like there were some trainees accompanying our wait person. Everyone has to start sometime, so no real problems with service, which was cordial. The only unpleasant part of the evening came when a customer several tables away began berating the wait staff and demanding reimbursement of his meal. Strange because after this, he and his party ordered additional food, drink and dessert? A bit of a damper for other diners who had to listen, and dodge complaining man’s children, who were running around. May ask to sit in the bar next time! Otherwise, an enjoyable evening with healthy, well-prepared food.

If there could be a way to give negative stars to this joint, I would. While dining there I found a huge wad of burnt plastic wrap in my truffle mac and cheese. When I pointed it out to the manager he said he needed to contact the owner. They offered me at first a complimentary drink. I told them I wanted the whole meal compensated and the chef to be alerted that this happened. Clearly, the food had been prepared hours before and plastic put over it. I was given the business card of the owner and given my drink and the mac and cheese compensated. The health department will be alerted tomorrow. Avoid this place. It is absolutely the worst experience in both food and customer experience I have had in Marin. Disgusting all around.

Went in to watch the Warriors game and Olivia was the bartender suggested some appetizers that were awesome! Super sweet, fast, friendly service. Get some mules from Olivia, they are tasty, oh and get the grilled octopus appetizer!!!

I think Boca’s probably has one of the best happy hours in Marin. If you’re exhausted after an afternoon of retail therapy, I find Boca’s is a great place to grab a bite to eat and drink. It’s located in the mall and has plenty of parking. The pizza is pretty tasty but brussel sprouts are my favorite food with a nice glass of white wine. I find the staff to be super nice, not overly chatty but definitely friendly. It attracts a nice mix of family and singles, but definitely a good-looking Marin crowd. I come here all the time and I really like the place. A good hang.

Went to dinner here close to closing. My friend’s daughter ordered gnocchi with pesto sauce. It literally was 12 gnocchi in a large bowl tossed in pesto for $ 17. I was shocked. She was still super hungry after eating those tiny dough balls. First of all $ 17 is outrageous for a meal that probably costs them $ 2 to make. Maybe they were out of gnocchi cuz we were there close to closing? Also, they don’t serve bread like any other Italian restaurant would. They offer«flatbread»(huh?) on the menu. My 8 year old Sicilian boy really needed some bread to «sop up the left over marinara sauce» from his linguine with meatball and marinara and was super disappointed to find they had nothing to offer help him complete this task. Overall, I think the food is tasty… I go there strictly for the white bean and kale soup. But the pizza is too doughy, and their prices for what you get, no thanks!

Not as good as the Novato location. Went for dinner with grandchildren and daughter-in-law. VERY loud so would certainly say it is good for children since if they«acted out» and were loud they would not annoy anyone more than a table away. The kitchen crew of Spanish-speakers added to the chaos with their continual banter among themselves and the wait staff. In fact not only the wait staff but the manager at the time was joking around with them, further aggravating the pace of service and atmosphere of confusion. Wait staff was harried, almost breathless. It took some time just to get drinks and then a long wait until we got our orders. The waitress was frustrated as we were as she had to get the attention of the jovial cookers and then to keep going back to check on the status of her orders. Food was fine, but noting compared to the Novato location which was in another world from this one in Corte Madera. Let’s see this as maybe a bad night, but management needs to tighten the screws on the kitchen before we would ever come back. As I wrote this I realized that it was only a two-star experience which was not A-OK which would be three-stars.

Great location easy to get to and from 101. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Great service with a smile. The roasted lamb salad and meatball appetizer were delicious! And then we walked it off in the mall. We’ll be back!

Juan our waiter was very nice & helpful w/what kind of pizza my boyfriend & I might like to have. We ordered a mushroom pizza, as Juan suggested, because we wanted to add ingredients. We added: pesto, grilled chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, grilled zucchinis, and the cheese was Parmesan! No wonder I liked the cheese so much. LOL Our pizza ended up being so delicious! So happy we got the ingredients we wanted. Plan to order multiple pizzas, if you have more than 2 people, because they only have one size.(This is the first time I had to experience this at a pizza restaurant.) The restaurant is quite spacious & the cooks are cooking in an open space, where you can see them. There’s a huge bar area. Maybe it’s full bar? Idk. I never ordered any drinks. They have a decent size outdoor seating for this restaurant too. Spacious as well. Only thing I have to complain about, is the Caesar salad we got. You would expect a normal Caesar salad right? Check out my photo. Not satisfied with that for $ 12 though?! Anyway, would consider coming back for pizza one of these days again.

I’ve worked in the food industry for almost ten years, I always appreciate the effort, and notice the difference when there may not be such great service. Boca is one of my top places, due to the face simply that the people who work here give exceptional service. Every time I get off work and walk in Olivia always gives me exceptional service, always knowing exactly what I want to drink or need to eat. Paying attention to the fact I have a mushroom allergy and always guiding me to the right direction. Even when my favorite server isn’t there. LT always provides the same amount of excellence in service, always having a positive upbeat energy. I’ve noticed the change over in leadership recently and Francisco has been doing a great job leading and getting everyone excited about being at work. When you walk into any place, you can feel the energy. I personally believe you can come in here and feel at home. I appreciate having this Jem in Marin to come to whenever I need a good meal or maybe just a pick me up from the great staff!!! Thanks again guys! Millie

Eh gads. I thought I would never write a 1 star review as usually, you avoid places like this but alas, here it is. To start, I went here two days in a row. Both for business lunches. The first time was with one person while the second was a large group. Here’s the summary that was pretty consistent between both visits: — Took forever to bring drinks(both visits). — Got the order wrong but we were flexible since it was pizza(first visit — totally different pizza than what we ordered). — Brought appetizers with no plates(the group visit). — Very slow and inattentive service(both visits). — No drink refills(both visits). — When the main plates came, didn’t clear app plates, in fact looked at us holding them to clear space and walked away(group visit). — Then, to top it off, they dropped a whole tub full of plates from the next table and announced it with a loud«f*ck!»(group visit) — We had to flag them down to pay(both visits). This visit was over Veterans day and these are my notes I took during the«events». The memory of this disaster is still talked about with my business colleagues. It’s become a reference point for a disastrous restaurant visits. Management, you need to get your staff in line. This won’t last long.

Yesterday was the first and last time that I will ever eat at this restaurant! First I have to mention that the server we had was very fast and attentive. But what was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner for my relative turned into a terrible night out when I found a OneTouch Ultra Test Strip at the bottom of my cup. OneTouch Ultra Test Strips are used by diabetics to test their blood glucose levels, and I’m disgusted to know that I drank out of a cup with one in it! I couldn’t tell if the strip had blood on it or not. I asked to speak to the manager and even though he didn’t charge me for my meal, he wanted to charge the 9 other people that I was with for theirs. When members of my group stated that they shouldn’t have to pay for their meals since everyone’s experience had been negatively impacted, he offered to take $ 100 off of the bill, which wasn’t reflected in the revised one that we received(the revised bill only showed a $ 73 deduction). It wasn’t until I told the manager that my group shouldn’t have to pay for their food after such an ordeal that he agreed not to charge anyone. I felt that what occurred wasn’t taken seriously and Boca Pizzeria will never see my face at any of their restaurants!

Expected the food to be better than it truly was. Service was good, greeted at the door very nicely etc., but there were flies throughout eating our meal. They also played heavy rock during lunch hour… a bit odd and not a nice ambiance. Food wise– with the appetizer we ordered a Caesar salad. Instead, we received 3 stalks of romaine lettuce, light green didn’t look fresh– with cheese and dressing. I’ve never seen a salad like this before, and I don’t think you can call this is a salad. For $ 11, the salad was without a question overpriced because one, it wasn’t a salad, and two, it wasn’t tasty, or fresh, and was way too small. I’ve had better Prosciutto pizza. It tasted as if the dough wasn’t fresh and more so frozen, and there was not enough of fresh prosciutto either to call it a prosciutto pizza. In addition, the BBQ pizza was so spicy we couldn’t even finish it. The cheese was coming off it; the pizza as a whole looked a bit unprofessional. Overall, bill was pricy. Quite the bummer just for a lunch with two others. Don’t think I’d be coming back. Didn’t stand out too much to me.

Ya I wouldn’t come to this location. Service was terrible, took 45 – 1 hour for a medium sized pizza and a gluten free chicken piccata. After 45 mins we asked the host where our food was, he sent the server and he came out and said«whaaat you guys didn’t get you’re food?» Then another 15 goes by and just the pizza shows up. We literally finished the entire pizza and then the waiter brings out the gluten free dish… The only good thing about this place was they treated dogs good. Oh and they took the gluten free dish off. Will not be back.

I have been many times at the Corte Madera restaurant and tried some nice food, such as the roasted beets salad, creamy burrata appetizer, and braised beef pappardelle. I love their Boca Spritzer. The pizza is also ok. However, I went there today, a Saturday, after work, very tired. It is a very hot day, and I ordered an entreé chopped salad in order to try something new. The salad was fresh, but that’s where it stops being good. They were skimpy in the ingredients(chicken, salami, ceci beans(garbanzo)) and after I left the restaurant, I realized it was missing the smoked mozarella as well. There were eight halves of cherry tomatos in it and very little chicken. Really? Sorry, no! I was so irritated! To top it all, the place was empty and staff was talking loud at the bar, so the sound were really carrying through. As I said, I have been there many other times and the food was great. Today, my experience was not satisfactory: they need to review URGENTLY the recipe for this blah salad because it does not match the usual Boca standard. In addition, the roasted butternut squash was removed from the menu. Why? That was so good and I loved to have it with my beets salad for a very pleasant and filling dinner. Not happy at all with my lunch.

Food = 2.5 Service = 1 This comment is strictly based on the non-existing service we received. Our waitress, the bony, 50+, blonde person was totally rude and unprofessional. Boca Management — this waitress seriously needs to be re-trained. We spoke to the floor supervisor/manager and he agreed with our observations, unfortunately, he appeared to be intimidated by her … Hopefully something will be done to improve your restaurant service.

Pizza is delicious here! As well as the other entrees and appetizers. The service really isn’t anything special, but it’s not awful. My husband and I keep coming back because the food is that awesome and the prices are reasonable. Plus, the restaurant is right in the middle of an outdoor shopping center, so you can walk around after you’ve stuffed yourself with yummy food from Boca’s! :)

Great pizza, salad and pasta! I ordered the lamb salad and it was delicious. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the dressing combined with the arugula was a wonderful pairing. For the table to share, we ordered the Brussels & pancetta pizza. The crust was thin with a garlicky spread. My friend ordered the gemelli pasta which was also tasty! Service was also a plus which makes me want to come back!

An ok pizza place. Service is fair. The menu is pretty limited and the food is average. Not impressed, but one of the few places to get a snack or drink at The Village when the other«key» restaurant is packed.

Great food and excellent atmosphere! I came here during a weeknight, after hitting up Nordstrom’s after Christmas sales. I was hesitant to eat at a restaurant in a mall setting. If you know the location, there is also a Cheesecake Factory in the area. I feel like CF is overplayed so I decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated immediately upon arrival. One settled with our amazing server, Audric, we ordered our drinks and grub. Burrata: superb. Extremely soft, and very tasteful. There was an olive tapenade that was hiding underneath it too. I happen to be a huge kalamata Olive fan so I was a happy girl. Chicken piccata: perfection! Chicken was perfect, juicy and tender. The sauce was great, not overpowering on the lemon, and the capers gave it a very distinctive taste. The dinner vegetables on the side were also incredible, not overly cooked or mushy. I’m not a fan of mashed potatoes, but once I swiped my fork through them, I immediately fell in love. Fettuccine: my guest said the pasta and sauce was the best fettuccine Alfredo he had ever had. Presentation was nice too. *And now to the best part… Dessert.* I love any sort of dessert with apples in it, as my family ran an apple cannery for years. Apple cake in a jar: a fun little spongecake with diced apples. Not too sweet and paired perfect with a glass of Prosecco. There was nothing negative about this dining experience, and our server was fantastic. We were very pleased with all aspects of our meal, and the way we were treated. I can’t wait to come back for happy hour!
