Beautiful coffee shop with great coffee and helpful staff! I like that they have medium and dark roast options for drip, and the breakfast food was actually really good. We tried the ham/onion burrito and the bacon sandwich, and both were great! Very friendly baristas behind the counter make the whole experience great overall!

I have visited this café more than a few times and have had the opportunity of trying a few different combinations of foods and drinks. I would visit this café again because of the cool and quiet atmosphere, their drink options, the food variety, the study friendly area, and the great costumer service. First off, the location is great if you have a car or a bike. It is located in downtown Corvallis and there are many other places around it to visit if you are looking for other things to do. If you are a student on campus the walk may not be worth it, especially if you are carrying around a backpack full of books and other supplies. One of the greatest things about Allann Bros Beanery Café if you have a car, is that they have a designated parking lot and so you don’t have to worry about finding a parking space on the side of the street on a busy day. I absolutely love the atmosphere because there are many seating options and the booths are great for when you and your friends needs some space to study on. The café also never seems to get noisy. I never found it difficult to focus on my work and if a rush ever came in, it wasn’t ever anything that a pair of headphones couldn’t fix. When it comes to using their wifi, it is only worth it if you are looking to be there for a few hours because after 2 hours of use it is no longer free. Another downside if you are using your laptop, is that they no longer offer power outlets. If you do plan on staying for a while, they offer a bathroom which is very convenient, especially after drinking one of their many tasty drinks. One thing I noticed about the bathrooms were that because there is only one private bathroom, you can end up waiting a very long time behind other costumers and often don’t exactly know when it is actually being used. When it comes to the drinks, I was very pleased with almost every single order I have tried. They are extremely compliant with special orders as I have tried out some more complex orders that aren’t exactly on the menu. I have tried out the basic chai latte in both the iced and hot form. A downside to their iced drinks is that they fill the cup with so much ice, I feel like the actual drink content is lacking. Thankfully if you just ask for light ice, they comply and it is no longer an issue. The hot form was definitely hot enough for me and you even have the option of asking for it extra hot if that suits your taste more. I have also tried adding hazelnut flavors to an iced chai latte and it was delicious! For the chai they also offer a sweeter or a more spicy version. I have also tried just a basic vanilla latte and it was just as good as I had hoped for, if not better. I always order it with nonfat milk and that has never been a problem and from what I can tell, they have never messed up one of my orders. The drinks are also always served in a very timely fashion and I have never had to wait longer than a minute or two. I have tried a few of their food items and although they were pretty good, they definitely don’t compare to the quality of the drinks. One of the greatest things about their food is that they have so many options and isn’t just sugary treats and pastries. They also offer sandwiches, bagels, soup, burritos, and side salads! I was probably more impressed by their sweet treats though. I tried the lemon poppyseed scone and it was absolutely perfect. They also change up what kind of scones they offer. Another food option I tried was a cheesy bagel. I love that they offer to heat things up for you in their kitchen and they serve the for here orders on a plate instead of in a baggy. I was a little disappointed with my bagel because it wasn’t as toasted as I think it could have been and the cream cheese that came with it was an extremely small portion. One of my friends tried their burrito and she loved it. It also came with a side of chips and I enjoyed trying a few of them. The food is also reasonably priced! Lastly, they have always had great costumer service when I have visited. They always make it clear that they will gladly make you another drink if you weren’t satisfied with the taste of yours. They also have offered their own opinions on what to try when I have asked in the past. They are very friendly and seem to want to make sure the costumer is completely satisfied. Overall, I enjoy this coffee shop and will gladly visit it again! So if you’re on the fence as to whether or not it’s worth your time or money, I would suggest you give it a try!

Great coffee, lots of places to sit and friendly staff. No GF pastries, but the coffee is so tasty you don’t mind. Always enjoy going to the coffee shop for a Mexican mocha and iced latte!

Wifi and laptop users who need a power outlet GOELSEWHERE. They started limiting the internet usage to 800 megs. They also have signs that proclaim themselves as a ‘pirate free internet zone’ saying they will ban anyone using torrent clients. I understand the second one somewhat, but the first is pure cash grab(they will sell you more). Also, say you use a legal installer(such as Blizzard’s) that work via bittorrent. I can only assume that will also get you banned. I will be directing my money to other shops such as the Interzone who lack stupid policies, and I hope they lose lots of business as a result. Also, if you need a plugin, they removed all of those. Good food though!

6 stars really. One of the best coffee shops I have ever been to. Delicious coffee & pastries. Fast, free wifi. Clean restroom. Newspapers. Plenty of clean, relaxing places to sit everywhere. Tons of sun & light pouring in the many windows. Quiet music playing in the background. Some green plants. Local artwork. Plenty of parking. Grade — «A» double plus.

Ohhhh nooooooo! This is sooooooo sad because I have been going to The Beanery foreeeever, and have so many fond memories that span over 2 decades, but it has gone so far downhill that I think this relationship is over :( Stale pastries, overpriced drinks, low quality or completely lacking amenities that any sane coffee shop proudly provides(i.e. electrical outlets, free wi-fi, clean tables). What happened, Allann?

The wifi here has never been that great, but they recently stripped out their power strips, deactivated some of their wall outlets, and became much more militant about their wifi policies. The place was always a bit of a dive, now it’s really not worth going to.

Worst cappuccino I’ve ever had. Would go to Starbucks before them. Also, the customer service is very rude. I even tipped them a dollar and they were still rude. If I’m ever in Corvallis again, this will be the last on my list.

For nearly twenty years this has been my go-to place for coffee and a snack in the mornings. Recent changes –like ditching half the menu and substituting gluey, fake pastries for the things they used to offer — have prompted most of my friends(also longtime regulars) to go elsewhere. I’ve followed suit. Too bad. It used to be the perfect place to hang out with friends and grab a great snack or even a healthy lunch. Oh well.

If you’re coming here for quick coffee and some food this place deserves four stars. But if you want to study or work here, one star. I’ve always loved to work at this place, great tea selection and lots of good food to chose from. Yet recently they have decided to turn off the power outlets and charge for Internet after two hours. This seems to be both an attempt to save money and detour students. Ridiculous!

This coffee shop used to have a quality local feel based on the customers and food but now mainly has that from the customer side only: they now make fewer things fresh when ordered and have more premade food with fewer options yet it’s still the same price. If we wanted that we could go down to the corporate coffee shop… Teas and coffee drinks are still great though :)

UPDATE been here for 5 minutes and being asked to pay for Internet already. Leaving. used to love this place but they switched to having to PAYFORINTERNET after 2 hrs. Like most people if i’m here for more than an hour or two I buy drinks and food, so i dont get it. Why even bother showing up if i know half way through my work that I am going to pay. smart move guys, could just go to starbucks, coffee culture, mcdonalds, burgerking, safeway, any bagel place in town, our own homes or anywhere else where the internet is free, god even some parks have free internet. Also the internet constantly asks you to sign in and give your email address even though you’re already connected.

if you want to do anything internet-related don’t bother going here. I work remotely and like to hit a café from time to time to get out of my home office, so I figured I’d hit the Beanery, a longtime Corvallis coffee shop. Unfortunately, their router is really crappy and unreliable so I finally had to find someplace else to finish my work. Their coffee is adequate but be ready to stand in line for a hella long time to get anything. I’d hit Coffee Culture anytime over the Beanery if. if you don’t care about internet connectivity then this place is probably fine for you.

I hate this place. They charged me $ 2.50 for a side of steamed milk and it took 15 minutes. They are way too busy to be nice. And the Americans taste like burnt beans. Awful place awful service

I like small, hole in the wall restaurants and this fits the bill. We stopped for breakfast. Three of is had 25 mins to grab something and go. We all ordered a breakfast sandwich and a drink. Drinks came up quickly but the toasted breakfast sandwiches were a hit slower. They were delicious but I had to scarf mine in the car on the way to our meeting. So go here, but give yourself lots of time.

Wow, so damn strong cappuccino! Some of the best I’ve had(and I’ve had some great cappuccino in Italy). Very strong and great customer service. A great hip place in this unique downtown area!

The Beanery is THE coffee house in downtown Corvallis. It’s on the far end of 2nd Street. It’s a popular hang out, but I usually have luck finding a seat to enjoy my cup of coffee and read my book. The Beanery has a good bistro menu. I usually get pastries with my coffee, but there are other true«foody» options if you’re looking for a more traditional breakfast or lunch option. And if you’re ever at the Beanery and are not in the mood for coffee(I know — this is a shocking idea for coffee-lovers), the iced tea is AMAZING. If you’re looking for a place to kill some time with a good book or just feel like people watching at a coffee shop, I’d definitely check out the Beanery.
