Not good. Not bad. Standard chain restaurant offering semi-blah dishes that are admired by unimaginative patrons. Yes, the salad bar is delicious, but nothing that makes it stand out. The servers are always polite. Bar drinks are overpriced, especially since many of the drinks are so full of ice! They do offer a gluten-free menu but it is hard to follow and understand… just a 3-ring binder of pages of food lists. Somehow, they often manage to make something healthy unhealthy! Sauces and toppings that go over the top! So much salt! Remember, it isn’t chain so nothing exceptional.

Food is substandard and do not taste fresh. Most of items appeared to have been premade/frozen. BBQ chicken flatbread very bad and overpriced $ 9.95 for a few pieces of chicken chunks and BBQ sauce. Only good thing was the fries and salad bar. Food is like Izzy’s. Maybe burgers taste better and hopefully they are made from scratch in house.

It’s a chain restaurant. Keep this in mind when you eat here. It’s just like Chili’s or Applebee’s, but slightly better. If you’re going for decent food and service, this is it. If you’re going for drinks, find somewhere else. If you’re expecting fabulous, go somewhere else. The food is pretty decent. Salad bar is always fresh and has a lot of options. It’s not your standard salad bar. It’s better. Steaks are pretty good. Mine have always been cooked to order. There’s high praise for not screwing that up, because I’m picky there. Service is good, and consistent. Sometimes the wait staff can come across as fake and insincere, because they sound practiced when they talk to you. But they get the job done well, so there’s no real complaint there. Atmosphere is the same as Chili’s and Applebee’s. Crap everywhere on the walls, bright, nothing special. If you’re looking for quiet, romantic, or anything special in the atmosphere or decoration department, this isn’t for you. My husband and I go here a couple times a year for something slightly different, and a quick trip out of town. I hate Applebee’s, so this is like the upgrade of it. Lol. I’ve never had a bad experience when eating here. It’s not 5 star food, it’s a chain restaurant. But it’s decent and consistent.

My wife and I went to Ruby Tuesday’s in Corvallis in November 17, 2015 for lunch as some work buddies of mine told me they had good food. My wife ordered the Spicy Shrimp. I ordered the upgraded hamburger with fries and cheese and bacon, medium rare. My wife’s lunch shrimp was raw and cold and my burger was over done, but I was concerned for her due to the shrimp being raw. We notified the waitress as she asked us how everything was and immediately she got the manager. The manager, a very large fellow, came to the table and looked at her plate and said,” The shrimp doesn’t look raw to me.” I was a cook and a chef for over 20 years. The shrimp was not only raw, but ice cold. We explained why we felt the shrimp was raw so he reluctantly took the plate to the kitchen and came back 20 minutes later with some very salty shrimp. She could not eat it. I tried. We decided it was time to leave. I went to take a French fry off my plate and look at my plate and saw a hair on it. I was done. We felt very uncomfortable with the waitress and manager being rude to us so I did not say anything about the hair on my plate. For the price of the food and what you get you would think the people would be nice to you if there was a problem. They made us feel like we were the problem even though we were very polite to them. I sell very expensive boats for a living and my wife is a receptionist to a very busy clinic. We know how people should be treated in public. I do not think I will ever go to another Ruby Tuesday’s again. It will take some major persuasion to coax me into wanting to be made feel that way in a restaurant ever again. I just felt like we were not welcome and nor did they care to see me again.

I loved the salad bar spread they have. Everything is fresh and not overly crowded with too many choices. The entrees come with 2 sides or 1 side and a salad bar trip. That’s perfect, a house salad is always boring so I appreciate building a salad myself. They do properly sized entrees and sides, so you aren’t over eating like other places tend to do. It’s a great way to eat out without going too crazy. Easy to enjoy your liquid calories and watch the food intake ;) The service was fantastic. Swift refills and no hovering, just the right amount of dropping by to check the food was good, all that standard stuff that lacks in some establishments and bothers the crap out of me.

Our server was really good and attentive. Even though I ate everything off the gluten free menu(which needed to be updated as some of the items were discontinued), I still got super sick. I’m usually okay with a little cross contamination but something bad is going on in my stomach right now. Warning to any others out there.

I am an out of towner who has eaten at a Ruby Tuesdays before and wasn’t overly impressed. My dad and I came in to eat after a football game and they were slammed(maybe slightly understaffed given the big event.) we sat at the bar, and everything you want to see from a bar tender/server Amy P. delivered. Multi-tasker, on the drinks, personable, above all of those she helped everyone else and made them better. You could tell. I hope she gets a raise on her next check. I will be back next game day I am in town.

Once a year we visit family in Corvallis. The first time we ate here we discovered it by accident. It was late on a sunday night and we were having a difficult time finding a restaurant.(This was prior to my using Unilocal.) We were excited to see a great salad bar and grateful that we didn’t have to eat fast food. The service was excellent and staff went above and beyond to make our meal a great one. Every year we now eat here at least once and every single time we’ve had an excellent meal with amazing service. Ruby Tuesday is a chain and we usually avoid them, when possible. This is something different. It’s rare to get this level of service and for that high level to be maintained for years. I believe tonight was the sixth or seventh visit. We had burgers and fries which were cooked well and delicious. The fries were hot, crisp, and not too salty. We love the salad bar and it didn’t disappoint. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure that my lactose-intolerant husband didn’t have any dairy. He only wanted the cheese left off his burger, but they were very solicitous of his needs. Corvallis has a gem. We will be back!

Wonderful salad bar, excellent server. Wanted something healthy so i ordered the grilled salmon. It came out perfect. We were offered a wonderful desert but declined to stick with in our cals for today. GREAT Experience. Thank you Mickey!

Steaks were below average for the price. Husband had a ribeye and I had top sirloin with asiago cheese sauce, and it had several pieces of gristle in it. A good salad bar and our excellent waiter brought our review up to 3 stars.

Is it possible my memory is finally failing? My recollections of Rub Tuesdays on the East Coast were of expansive, mind-blowing salad bars, replete w/plenteous fresh seafood and tall, icy cold mugs of beer. 10 years later, and 3,000 miles westward, and something has definitely changed. Maybe it was just me. The salad bar here in O-to the R was middling, comparable to what one might find at Izzys(sans the pizza or chicken… or ribs, when they have ribs), or Sweet Tomatoes. The lobster tails were quite small but savory and tasty, leaving me wishing for more. the ribeye steak, finally, though ordered medium rare was quite dry and uninspiring. The service was quite good and prompt and courteous and this was the saving grace for this RT. We may go back someday, but I won’t be in any hurry to do so— not while there’s Local Boys in town!

I visited this place a few years back and had a very sub par experience with the food and service. I decided to give these guys another chance… what a mistake! This place is a SHITSHOW, the burger was horrible, wilted lettuce, cheese was cold & melted, the bun was like a hockey puck and a pretty small portion size the frys were good. The salad bar was a hot mess, wilted yellow lettuce and on low ingredients. Ruby Tuesday charged me $ 12 for the tripple prime bacon cheese burger. Honestly, I could have gotten a better quality burger at Carl’s Jr. I don’t know how this place is still open for business. On a positive note, the service was really good this time, as it should, there were only 5 – 6 customers in the building.

Took 8 people for an early dinner, 5pm. 1.) Made reservations in advance but when I checked in they did I not have it. 2.) Needed to ask for kid’s menus. 3.) Needed to ask for water and server only brought one when we wanted one for each person. 3.) Got one order wrong, so one person had to watch the rest of us eat. 4.) The waiter knew we were celebrating a birthday, yet just brought us the bill without even asking if we wanted dessert which was his lost because by now we were upset with the service and went somewhere else for dessert. Food was ok but expected better service for $ 180.00.

OMG great service, great food, the place was clean and tables bused. My friend and I went and we throughly enjoyed. We shared the Shrimp Fondue and chips, which was fantastic. We were served bread balls that melted in your mouth. The Coastal Trio was absolutely amazing. The lobster tail really was extremely tender, 3 jumbo skewered scampi, the creole seasoning tilapia. The 2 sides we picked was the loaded baked potato and Fresh Grilled Zucchini. We split everything down the middle. She had the baked potato and I had the grilled zucchini. There was more than enough to share the whole meal between the two of us. If we had not been staying at a hotel, I could’ve taken left overs home. I would’ve loved to have had that for leftovers. The Strawberry iced tea was very strawberry. It was not like the pre-mixed were they are light in taste. Would I go there again, oh yeah.

Judging by the negative reviews, I’m not sure what some people expect from a lower cost, national chain restaurant? White table clothes, french waiters and cuisine designed and made by a James Beard award winner? It’s Ruby Tuesday… it is what it is. Have a dietary restriction? You have many choices here(unless you only eat«local», «fresh», aka pompous food). The prices? Well within most peoples budgets. The staff? They have always been great to me. If you’re a relatively normal person I suspect you’ll like this place for a decent meal on a weeknight when you don’t feel like cooking. If you still live with your folks, have a long beard and wear ironic t-shirts, and/or think you are a «special» and«talented» person… well…this restaurant probably isn’t your cup of tea Snowflake.

To be honest, I should likely click five stars above because the one experience I had at Ruby Tuesdays was amazing. I need to confess here that as an aspiring vegetarian, this is a restaurant that I almost never go to. Ever. But there was a moment recently when I thought to myself, «I absolutely have to have a hanburger.» And it was true: I had to. I don’t drink or smoke and in that moment I absolutely needed a vice and a dead beef burger was going to be that vice. And if it was going to be the vice, it had darn well be the best burger ever conceived of. And here’s the weird thing: it was. WAITSERVICE I entered the Ruby Tuesday at what must have been a light moment for them because two beaming hosts appeared in front of me and they had decide between the two of them which one was going to lead me to a booth. That was really nice. They made a joke about fighting over me and they were exceptionally friendly people. Once I sat down it was only about thirty seconds befor my waitress arrived at the table with a cold glass of water and a smile. I would have to say that all of the wait people at this restaurant were very fast, efficient, and friendly. ATMOSPHERE There is a very open and subdued feeling to Ruby Tuesdays. It’s almost a relaxing vibe that they seem to be going for with their wooden furniture and soft earthy colors that they have placed around the eating area. It’s a nice looking restaurant. VARIETYOFFOODONTHEMENU I need to be honest about this: I only looked for hamburgers because as a vegetarian looking to be a bad-boy for a day, I was not interested in eating steak. I just wanted to be a little bad and I thought that a hamburger would suffice. QUALITY And here is the bell-ringer criteria. Oh my god was this hamburger that I ordered amazing. I ordered the Triple Prime Bacon Cheddar burger. The cheddar was actually aged a year! It was an incredible experience. There is a lot of shame that goes a long with eating a burger for a vegetarian and this burger actually made it worth it. All those vegetarians out there who have never tried one of these do not know what they are missing. If I were not already married, to a vegan, I would marry that hamburger. I think there were some yummy french fried or mashed potatoes but really, in the presence of a burger like that, who cares. VALUE — PRICE Ahh… this is where they lose a star. I spent $ 13.99 for that burger. And it was worth it considering how good it was, but it was stull about 14 bucks and that’s a lot of money for a hamburger. All I can say is if a person is going to have some vegetarianism drift in their life, this is place to do it!

Me and my dad came here before the football game in November(Beavs vs. Huskies. Go dogs!) And it was crazy crowded(kinda expected that) but we waited SO long for our food. We saw these two guys who were seated long after us and got their food before we did. What the hell? Our server was really nice and apologetic and felt terrible so he said we could get a free dessert. So we thought, okay cool we will get some free cupcakes. And of course those didn’t get out to us until we were about to leave. The food was alright! Not crazy awesome but it wasn’t bad at all. Not worth that long of a wait though. Also the cupcakes were like… really bad Safeway bought cupcakes… And they wanted 4 bucks for terrible dry cupcakes? Wtf. We’ll find somewhere else to go before the games.

My husband and i went to Ruby Tuesdays this past friday a few minutes after 5. It seems like we beat the crowd because after 15 minutes the parking lot was filled up! I ordered a shirley temple(I’m a kid at heart!) The husband had a mojito. They put a sugarcane in there to sweeten it, but he said there was no syrup in it. We later ordered the salted caramel apple martini. It was pleasant, but there was no hint of salted caramel anywhere and you could definitely taste the alcohol! We had sw springrolls as our appetizer. It honestly tasted like the resers taquitos you can pick up at any grocery store in the frozen aisle, albeit spicier. We both ordered a pretzel burger. Hubby had the bacon cheese and i had the mushroom swiss. He complained it was salty and i pointed out they were using salted pretzels so that was probably why it tasted like salt. I dusted the top of my pretzel before eating and it was fine. The taste? I thought the pretzel would add something outstanding, but sadly, it didn’t. The fries tasted like something mcdonalds would fry up. We had the red velvet cheesecake and it was sooooooo good. It was moist and creamy, but not heavy. As for service we were seated right away, and there was no loud kids. The décor is dark wood and made to look upscale. We didn’t love our waiter, due to his non personality and he hardly came to our table We might go back, for dessert sometime, but as far as dinner, probably not

Me and a co-worker ate here for lunch nearly every Friday at the bar(closer to beer, heh). Also sat at the bar because it is rarely crowded and you get $ 2 off each ticket for sitting there. Bartenders have always been attentive and nice. They are quick to find and serve your drink order, then if not too busy hang around for a bit to chat. Gives the place a nice friendly socialable feel(once again, at least at the bar). The food is okay. Normally only eat of the lunch menu, so haven’t tried some of their larger dinner menu items. The few I’ve tried are the pasta dishes. These were pretty good. The cajun one I had recently actually reminded me of New Orleans somewhat, which was nice as many places claim cajun dishes and fall far short. For lunch specials though, the burgers and other sandwiches are good and average price for a chain-sit-down-restraunt burger. Sandwiches normally only come with fries, but if you’re hungrier or order one of the other lunch items you can run through the salad bar, which I recommend. It has always been nicely stocked with multiple fresh items. There were a few times I almost didn’t want to eat my buffalo chicken minis, not because they aren’t good(they’re delicious), but because I stuffed myself with a massive-everything-overflowing-plate from the salad bar. My only complaint would be the tacos on the lunch menu. Sorry but after trying a bunch of them(chicken, steak, and spicy fish) I can safely say they are probably the worst tacos I’ve ever had. I’ve tried the different ones on different dates and never once were they any good. So avoid these at all costs and you’ll be fine with the rest.
