The best Peruvian restaurant in the area. Service is good and everything I’ve tried on the menu has been great. I’ve taken colleagues and friends here and everybody loves it. I peronslly recommend the lamb stew, the saltados and the paella. People who work here are nice and you really get the feel that you’re eating in a family restaurant.

Food is always excellent ! Sometimes the service can be alittle slow. Green sauce is the best! Take bottle home with home. It is great on just about everything !!

First and best Peruvian food experience! Everything ordered at the table looked great and I loved my choice, the beef saltado, which was a pile of rice, beef and sauce laid over french fries. Muh God. Portions were hefty and we could barely waddle our way out the door after eating. My first impression of Peruvian food is they seem to start with a heavy carb base, rice, noodles, breads, and then toss in some type of freshly seared meat either beef chicken or seafood. Spices had some similarities to Mexican food ranging from sweet to heat. Service was very friendly and they spent time chatting us up and joking with our friends who had been there a couple times before. The restaurant has an overall comfortable feel, and offer indoor and outdoor seating. All around great experience first time around.

Very pleasant Peruvian restaurant. Ceviche de pescado was very good(with a very tasty leche de tigre). The empanadas were also very good, crunchy and savory little bumdles of joy. The staff also makes a meal sized dish with the empanadas(future order for next time I am here?). The arroz con pollo was also very tasty. The portions at this restaurant are on the generous size, and ine could easily make a meal by just ordering appetizers(tapas style!). My only disappointment– no anticuchos de corazon.

This was my first time at Inka Grill and my first Peruvian food. The restaurant has a comfortable feel and the servers were friendly. There’s a bar. I started with a traditional Peruvian cocktail, good, though I don’t remember it’s name. Tasted a little like a margarita, though I think it’s made with something other than tequilla. We had the lamb stew and the Yasuke fish, which in this case was halibut. First the lamb stew. The official title on the menu is «The Best Lamb Stew. Seco de Cordero Norteno». I would have to say that this dish was worthy of the title. The lamb was cooked for a long time in spices and had a very nice balance of flavors. The meat fell apart with a fork. I read about this in another review. Good tip. The Yasuke halibut was a Japanese style presentation. We had ours with white steamed rice, which seemed a better match than fried rice. You can ask them to do it that way. A nice balance of flavors. Inka Grill is worth the trip.

They have good rotisserie chicken and have the choclo which is steamed large corn kernels. The crepes for dessert is also a favorite. Love Peruvian food

I came here once with a friend to have the rotisserie chicken that I have heard so much about. Unfortunately they were all out of rotisserie chickens. I ended up picking another dish that was okay, but I was disappointed.

It’s not bad but not the best. I’ve had better Peruvian food than this but it was acceptable. Kinda high on price which I was surprised. Got the Pollo saltado

Go here for great Peruvian food in the OC! Granted, there is not much competition but the food is still very good and very authentic! We have been there twice and both times were exceptional. The first visit I had the standard chicken, veggies and rice, which was very good. The second visit I ordered their signature fish and rice dish. It was more expensive but the portion was big enough for two people! So I enjoyed some for leftovers the next day. We also ordered their dessert medley, which included ice cream and a crêpe-like dessert. It was plenty for 4 people to share so I recommend that! The waiters have always been friendly and the second time we went the waiter explained all the dishes incredibly thoroughly. The price is fine. Standard for a nice sit-down restaurant. We will definitely be back again soon!

Came on May 7, 2016 a day before Mother’s Day to celebrate Mother’s Day here. The place was nice not filled with many people but had a few cops here. I thought to myself hey if cops decide to have dinner here(since they are always driving around and probably know good places to eat) I thought this place can’t be a bust. But it was. Where do I start. First any Peruvian restaurant or from a Peruvian culture knows having bread brought to the dinner table is a norm, having it nice and warm so u can have it with butter. But NO!, bread was cold and looked like it had been sitting out for a while and no butter to compliment the bread. Ask the bimbo and I mean big bimbo looking waitress if she could bring fresh warm bread. She said they don’t warm it up and it’s fresh… Not. Second fiancé ordered a beef milanesa, she got a chicken milanesa. Third, Mom as her special day ordered fried calamari, no lemon or tartar sauce which in any restaurant they bring it to u without even asking. When Asked for it she forgot to bring it twice. Daughter ordered chicken fingers with fries they were good but same thing bimbo waitress forgot daughters ketchup and by the time she brought the ketchup her food got cold. Mind you the place probably had two family’s not including mine. The place was empty so no excuses for tardiness for items and rude when ask about other foods. INCAGRILLGETITTOGETHER !!! Also forgot daughters Sprite after ask about the drink twice.

It was my first time here. The food was good. However the booth that we sat in was a bit dirty and sticky. If you like your food spicy, you need to try their green sauce. Good stuff! However if you can’t handle too much heat, be careful not to squeeze too much of that sauce! *Lomo Saltado* I ordered this because it appears to be their best item upon reading other reviews and going through all of the photos. It was pretty delicious and full of flavor. However the portion was pretty small. If you have a big appetite, you’ll definitely need to order something extra to go with this plate. Service was pretty good but a bit slow since it was pretty busy during lunch time. I would like to come back at another time to check out their other menu items.

Hot Latina servers(pro), greasy chicken saltado(con). The chicken saltado came with steamed rice in a cylindrical shape, tons of potato strips(french fries), lots of onions, cilantro, and a few pieces of chicken. Seasoning was okay, but this dish is a total carb load a barely had protein. Chaufa was also a bit bland. Tried it, it was okay.

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time since I work nearby so I decided to bring my hubby here for lunch since we were in the area. What a disappointment. While their green sauce is good and spicy, their entrees fell short. My hubby ordered basil spinach spaghetti with beef and he said it was the worst basil spinach spaghetti he’s ever had. Not only was the pasta over cooked, the whole pasta was too saucy and the sauce was very WATERY and BLAND. To make it worse, the entrée was served in a rectangular metal container — are we on a camp group or in the military? This entrée gets no star. Maybe the chicken version is better? I had the shrimp fried rice. It was not bad(3 stars), though El Pollo Inka and Inka Mama down the street make it way better. We will not be back. If you are in the area and want FLAVORFUL Peruvian food, I recommend Mama Inka. It’s only a couple of miles down on Bristol and Sunflower, across the street from South Coast Plaza.

When craving something exotic and full of spicy flavors, Inka Grill delivers great taste and cool ambiance with this location in Costa Mesa. I have been to this place before in the past, but now have the chance to Unilocal about how cool the hotness is! Lets dish. The menu is full of different dishes to fulfill cravings of meat, seafood or chicken. On the dining tables is this creamy light green sauce, which I believe is the«butter» to the bread starter. The hubbster and I pour it onto the bread and munch. Just to note though. it is a bit SPICY, but tolerable. Eventually, you may want to add that to your entrée just for a little kick! This location is great. The dining area is very roomy, staff is friendly, and dining area is clean. The hubbster likes the milanesa or the saltados, which is super delicious especially with the fries. I enjoy the basil spaghetti or the paella. MMMMMM… GOOD Stuff. A+ for Peruvian delights! Perks: Outdoor patio area. Beer and Wine. There is a Happy Hour! Be sure to check with staff on the deets. Also a Kids Menu and Catering is available. OverALL: Good Times! Good food! Peruvian gold! Worth a try!

I’ve been coming here for about 3 years now however was dissapointed today. I gave 2 stars due to smaller portions, terrible customer service especially for those of us who have time constraints of lunch breaks and have to get back to the office oh and price increase! Don’t think I’ll be coming back. I know of several other locations that offer bigger portions, for less than what you pay here, with better taste and extremely better servers.

I love Peruvian food. I don’t know why. It was pretty empty for Saturday lunch, food was good. Paella was good.

I came here for weekday lunch and the restaurant seemed pretty busy and crowded during that time. I had the chicken saltado here, and I didn’t really enjoy it all that much. I felt some parts of it were just too salty, and the potatoes were a bit mushy and the chicken kind of dry, not something I thought was all that great to be honest. I didn’t enjoy the overall flavoring of the dish either. I might have just ordered the wrong thing though, the roast chicken seemed to be a more popular choice from a cursory glance around the restaurant.

Dat green sauce though! After hearing good reviews of this place from my coworkers, we came here for lunch for our director’s birthday on a weekday. Since we had such a large group, we made reservations but I can definitely see this place getting packed during prime hours. I’m not personally a Peruvian food expert but the food here was pretty darn good. They give you bread and butter along with the green sauce as a starter and you can order from there. The saltados are a popular dish but I personally went for the chicken and fries which were mm mm good. My coworkers also ordered something that looked similar to a fried rice which they really enjoyed too. The service here is pretty friendly and the restaurant itself has a lot of character. They were quick to get our orders in and out and refilled our drinks and my chicken was pretty darn delicious. Bonus points for totally embarrassing our director when they came up and sang happy birthday to him with birthday cookies. Not sure if this is the best place for kids because although there is a good amount of seating, it does look like it can be packed and bustling.
