Mr Lee is the ultimate in gentleman’s service. They are the most courteous and accommodating. I’ve been shopping there for years and the only shoe I wear is a John Lobb. Your feet are definitely worth it and I receive compliments all the time. The shoes last and last. I have had them resoled and they came back good as new. Go see Mr. Lee because you deserve it. JD

It is John Lobb, the Louboutin for men. Firstly, I am writing this review because it is undignified that John Lobb only has 3 reviews written by troll accounts here in Orange County. Shocking really. So, for the first real review here I go: John Lobb started out as a bootmaker in London in the 1800’s and found wild success with the Monarchy of England, so much so he was appointed as the personal supplier to the Prince of Wales. Fast forward to 1976 when Hermès lobbied for the rights to use the name for their ready to wear line in their stores worldwide. Today Lobb is recognized as the premier creator of men’s footwear the world over in almost all circles and for good reason. Outside of a pair of bespoke shoes, you will never find a finer quality or workmanship. My stepping stones to Lobb went thusly: Hugo Boss, Allen Edmond, Peel & Co., Church’s, Ferragamo, then Lobb. Obviously,(with exception to one pair of Ferragamo) I stay out of the fashion houses for my kicks and demand artisan quality. Lobb is the pinnacle of the industry in that regard. Just like Louboutin, the cost of admission is no joke. The average pair runs $ 1200.00 but you will get what you pay for and they will last your lifetime so long as you take care of them. That being said, your knuckles will crack when you sign the transaction receipt. John Lobb, when you want you feet to say«Eff you».

Really bad shopping experience in the store. I came in to purchase a pair of Lopez shoes. I only worn them once in the first week and then there bumped out a nail on the insole of the left one. That was definitely something wrong with the crafts or maybe quality though I believed John Lobb was good at crafts and quality in the past. I brought my shoes to the store to require an exchange since I thought it should be the problem of quality. However, they rejected for that I have worn them before. what a far-fetched excuse! I was wondering if I did not wear them, how could I find that problem of the shoes. Anyway, they said they could send the shoes to repair. I compromised for I thought it should be fine if they could repaired the shoes. After one week, I came to the store to get my repaired shoes back. I found that there was a very obvious and big stain on the repaired one. I was very angry then and strongly required an exchange since I brought the almost new and very clean shoes to repair because of some problem of crafts, but it turned out dirty, like second handed shoes back. The salesman said he still couldn’t exchange them at his level and their manager was on vacation. They would send the shoes to a cleaner to see what would happen then but they could not commit anything or I have to wait for the manager back and talk to him. I really felt bad with this kind of result. I spent $ 1300 purchase at this hi-end store and after that, was treated like nobody. Every time they said they would call me for follow up in a fixed time but I never received a call until I called them to follow up with my shoes. It has been almost 3 weeks since I found the problem of the shoes. I still have to wait for their store manage to come back to see how they will deal with my shoes, including me…

I only came in to purchase shoe polish and didn’t come away with a pair of shoes unfortunately. I think every guy needs to own at least one pair of John Lobb’s in their life. Trust me… they are worth every penny.
