Very good food, friendly service and a nice interior design. Overall great attention to detail and we will be back!

After practice, this is my team’s go-to breakfast place. Service: They are always very genuinely kind and joke around with you. Service was never too slow– even for a busy restaurant.(5⁄5) Food: I usually go for a classic pancake breakfast:(5⁄5) Great. Especially for the price. I can’t expand on this much more because everybody knows what a good pancake tastes like — this! Eggs Benedict:(5⁄5) My other favourite! They make the hollandaise perfectly and it’s served quickly as well. Definitely my favourite place to get eggs bene!

Very typical diner and diner food, except some big differences: Better food quality. Bigger selection of dishes. Better attention to different types of healthy selections(gluten-free pancakes, low-carb options, low-fat options, etc.). Much cleaner! Cheerful and real staff. Owner a human being, not a corporation, and part of the community. I always end up ordering the ground beef and spinach omelette, my favorite. Coffee is always good!

Best place ever. My wife and I just had our 2nd anniversary started with great food and amazing service. Love this food and people. Our server Juan was great. He had a smile that was rubbing off on us.

The place was really good, servers were really friendly and helpful with order taking. The hash browns, eggs, and bacon were great. Definitely recommended this place to anybody visiting Newport or even the Orange County area.

How cute is this place?! It was around 6 A.M. and my boyfriend and I are cruising down to Newps and I was, per usual, hungry. A quick Unilocal search for«waffles» took me here. The food was delicious. My boyfriend got the pancakes with fruit, I had a whole waffle meal with hash browns, eggs, the works. Our waiter was so attentive, and I give him mad propz because he was the only one there. It was a Saturday morning and it was BUSY! He was running around, taking orders, serving, and running the checks. I wish we lived closer, I would make this my every-Saturday-morning breakfast place!

This place is a great old fashion style breakfast place. The menu has a great selection of options. The food and the service is certainly a notch up when compared to IHOP. The place is cleaner and the people are more real and working their collective butts off every minute. Two notches up on a Denny’s. People comparing these other place to pancakes r us are completely off base. The food tastes great.

If you come to a place like this, you’re looking for something in particular. Either the vibe, or the food. Pancakes R Us provides both. I get scrambled eggs, hash browns, and pancakes, and it’s just perfectly diner-licious. I’ve only ever been here at around noon after I bring my two littles to spend the morning at the ENC up the street, it’s never busy and the servers are nice. If you are looking for an old-school diner with yummy old-school breakfast food, you’ll be happy!

The restaurant was an outdated former IHOP restaurant in a strip mall at 17th and Santa Ana. Ample parking. My daughter and I went on Friday morning and we had to wait about 25 minutes for our table. We ordered coffee and they gave us a golden carafe that our server poured for us. The service was pretty good given that it was a full and the server was very courtesy and helpful. I ordered corned beef hash skillet and my daughter ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs, The presentation was OK and the food was hot. My red potato hash brown was a bit hard and the corned beef hash could of been more balanced with a bit more potato. I thought my daughter’s chicken fried steak was a bit salty and could of had a little more white sauce. The pancakes came with warmed pancake syrup in addition to the four syrups at the table. The price of the breakfasts were average… about $ 25 for the two of us. If they was one thing that I really disliked was that the restrooms were the one-person type… I hate waiting to wash my hands. While my experience was OK, I don’t know if I would come back soon or recommend it to friends

Horrible. Got the original classic breakfast again and came out cold! Service wasn’t great either. They charged me for the food which that I didn’t eat because it was uncooked. I will never come here again. So sad… cause the owner could of been cool.

I really enjoyed this place. The service is great! The food is just as good and I’m not sure what it is but they have the BEST coffee in the area. I came back the next day specifically for the coffee.

It is a typical, very typical breakfast restaurant like Ihop, Danny’s … To be fair, the food is ok, price is ok, bathroom and parking are all ok. Not much to write home. Around the corner is Plum’s café where food is more gourmet and cute, but price is 2X. You got what you paid for… PS: Service is better than Ihop for sure!

I love this cute little diner! The owner is really nice and has an interesting story of how he ended up in the business(you can read about it on the wall if you have to wait). The server we had was helpful and made recommendations for what to order. She was also hilarious — making jokes every time she came to check on us. The food portions were so generous that my husband and I split one of the combos with an omelette and pancakes. Delicious!

Awesome breakfast. I hadn’t been here in years but I took the family this morning and we all loved it. Normally getting my 2yr old girl to eat can be a challenge, but not today. She absolutely loved her eggs and pancake and ate every last bite :) I had the classic breakfast with scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, ham and hash browns and it didn’t disappoint. The only problem that I had(self inflicted.) is that my daughter was playing with my ring at the table and dropped it between the wall and the booth so I couldn’t reach it and had to come back later in the day to pick it up. It was 100% my fault for letting her play with it at the table but the staff there was so incredibly nice and accommodating. They actually paid to have a handyman come out same day to take the entire booth apart and retrieve it. Five star service, family friendly, incredible food and great people! Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

Been here twice now since I moved here. The food is Amazing! It’s always fresh and it comes out fast. They have a full breakfast-dinner menu to choose from. I can never decide right away what I want, there’s just so many choices! The staff is friendly and welcoming, always checking on you, which is a big plus.!! Will definitely be back.!! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know.

Why you would ever go to a chain diner over this place is beyond me. You walk in and get an almost full view of the kitchen. When I walked by I saw a rotten banana randomly, but that didn’t turn me around. Bc you know if a restaurant has a rotten a banana lying around they are doing some semi next-level cooking. I wasn’t wrong. They have about a dozen different speciality omlettes. I got the chili cheese, which was the perfect late night snack. I also got the stack of pancakes. They were soft, flavorful, and inexpensive. I’ll def be going back if I’m in the area.
