Literally didn’t even eat here. first time in a long time coming here. As soon as we get up we aren’t sure what we want, no one is waiting. We ask for a minute and the women who replied frustratingly said«sure go ahead take a minute.» We drove past her as we left and the face she made was one that will keep me from coming back

Terrible customer service… Employees were insanely rude. They conveniently didn’t have name tags on. Two woman were there. One on cashier and the other grilling the burgers. It seems as if we bothered them by showing up to order our food.

If you’ve lived in the area for awhile, then you’re probably aware that this is the same menu as the old Easy Take Out Burger. If you haven’t, well then it means nothing to you. I always preferred ETO over In-n-out. They have a decent menu with reasonable prices. The spicy chicken sandwich is tasty. I like the simplicity of the fries: crispy and salty. TBO I never really make it a point to come here, it’s more of a(I’m on 17th St) scenario and a burger sounds good. Four stars.

I really wanted a burger and I always pass this place in 17th St. I’m glad I finally made the stop! The burgers are simply delicious, the fries are perfectly salty, and my vanilla shake was the cherry on top. I got my burger with the works. It was a must. Bonus: there was no line in the drive thru. Can’t wait for round 2! I’m hooked.

I have eaten here several times and the food is always great. So I was really disappointed tonight when after speeding home to get there before they closed at 10pm and making it with five minutes to spare only to be ignored at the intercom and window. And see them ignore my waiving and turn off their sign three minutes later. Thanks wedge burger.

After 3 times the customer service still sucks. I wonder how’s the horrible customer service going to be when they get $ 15 a hour. People always ask me how this place is HORRIBLE customer service.

After our hike we were famished and my sister recommended that we try this place out. We dropped about $ 40 bucks worth of food between all of us, I ordered two chicken sandwiches and one spicy chicken sandwich plus fries and drinks. The reason why I’m giving it 2 stars is because A: they take longer than an In&Out B: I had a regular Diet Coke I asked for refill when I ordered my second chicken sandwich and the lady with the buzz cut didn’t say anything. After we were about to leave, I asked for a second refill and the same lady indignantly butts in after I hand my cup to the young kid and in a hostile manner says ” hey, next time I’m charging you for the refill!” I simply nonchalantly replied, «that’s fine» grabbed my refill and left. The point is, I purchased more food than I would at a burger joint were the practice of refills is standard. And, the employee needs to work on her approach. Lastly, if there isn’t any refills at the establishment then state so with a sign.

I am down. Only been here twice, and the first time was better. The second time around the meat in my double Wedge was crispy af — kinda gross and not too desirable. Will try again.

Everyone talks about how if in-n-out added bacon to their menu, they would blow up. Wedge Burger is exactly that, and to top it off, their menu even includes breakfast items! I’ve been coming here quite frequently(a few times a week) since I was employed nearby, but even since leaving that place, I still find myself back at Wedge Burger, where the employees already know my order before I’m a couple words into calling it in. And their veggie burger isn’t some weakass pile of lettuce like in-n-out, it’s an actual VEGGIEPATTY. their fries are on point, too. well done fries are the only fries. thanks guys, for being so consistently amazing.

Love this place. Good food and great prices! Personally, I feel like its an upgraded In-n-out with less of a line! All the workers are also really friendly. Highly recommended!

3.5 stars. Small little take out on 17th street. I think it used to be Ez Take Out Burger? Anyways, delicious burgers that can be comparable to In n out and TKs… They had an option called The Works which is exactly the same as Animal Style. Really liked the fries, but unfortunately, they charge for their sauces, such as ranch and barbecue. 3.5 stars because they are asking nickel and dimes for some sauce. Gave it four stars because the food itself is excellent. Overall: Check it out if you are in the area. Might not drive 15 – 20 minutes to Newport solely for Wedge Burger.

Good burgers and chili fries are excellent. I always drove by here on the way home and laughed it off as a dumpy restaurant because it looks like one. However, a friend offered to buy me lunch and after I tried Wedge Burger I was very happy with the food quality. For fast food, it’s pretty kick ass. A perfect In-N-Out knockoff for taste, yet there’s no wait and there isn’t a clean restaurant to sit my ass in. A little less greasy than In-N-Out, and even has paper wrapping on the burgers. 5 stars regarding the food. Customer service was good and friendly. I have added this restaurant into my rotation of food to eat a couple of times a week.

I’m a carnivore and I love meat. And I love burgers. Wedge had been recommended to me and I recently had the opportunity(and the hunger) to try it. The burger smelled so good that it didn’t even make it home… I took a bite at every stop light until it was gone… delicious, juicy and a good size for eating while driving. I also ordered the chili fries(NOT eaten while driving!) and was impressed by the actually identifiable strands of meat in said chili– pretty awesome stuff. Not too spicy but not wimpy either, very satisfying chili. Lastly, I tried the boysenberry shake. I’m all about berry anything, especially the less commonly used berries. It was creamy and good with a light touch on the boysenberries– I guess I was expecting a more pronounced berry taste. A girl can hope… Not bad for a first impression Wedge! I’ll certainly be back to sample more of the menu…

While the burgers aren’t bad, the people they hire to hand you your food through the window must be trained on how to look at you as if they would rather kill you than serve you. Don’t expect a smiling face or even a «thank you» or you will be disappointed. I bet they instruct their employees«here, before you serve the food, suck on this lemon». I think their employee hiring procedures goes something like this: A homeless, one legged crack whore stumbles in off the street to dig through their dumpster. The manager approaches and asks what she’s looking for? The crack whore belches in her face and the manager screams«You’re Hired» and slaps a Wedge Burger paper hat on her head and puts her at the window. Maybe they should change their name to «Wedgie Burger».

No they are hired local students as well as long term staff who get slammed on food delivery platforms and the after school rush, beach comers etc. They do their job consistently and are careful to check your order properly …Never had a bad experience in 20 plus years, patience is a virtue in a world too fast and busy to wait for it…

Wedge Burger(previously EZ Take Out for decades) still serving yummy fresh buggers and the only place with Boysenberry Shakes. We’ve been eating here regularly for over 20 years and I hope for 20 more.

This place is a hamburger joint that pleases that«hangry» feeling when you either don’t have enough time to drive to In-n-Out, or to another great hamburger spot. Oh Wedgie wedgie woo woo. it will just have to do. and it wasn’t too bad. Let’s dish. Came here on a whim at lunch time, noticed the drive thru and drove on up. I noticed the menu board being very easy to skim thru, and of course traditional fare of burgers, fries, breakfast burritos and more. The usual hodgepodge of California fast food cuisine. I went with the cheeseburger wedge burger combo which came with fries and a drink. Staff is friendly, however the service speed a bit slow, and I would totally understand if there was 4 – 5 people standing in line at the take out window, or if there were two cars behind me or in front of me, but ahem… It was just me, in the one car. oh well. It is what it is. I may have caught the moment in time where it was one of those weird days. Nonetheless, food was hot, fries smelled good, and the price for the meal was just right. Pleasant enough for the lunch rush. A+ for effort! My cheeseburger was yummy, burger was charred just fine, and it was taming my hangry mood. Perks: As mentioned, portions are decent for the $. Burgers are tasty, and menu is inviting enough to come back to try more. Ice Cream Shakes, and a Breakfast Menu are available. Some outside seating nearby. Downsides: No inside dining available. KNOW before you GO: Mostly drive thru, however there is a take out window. Pay attention to the entrance way and the exit way and be sure to see the arrows. Some drivers make their own ways sometimes, so use caution! Awesome Tip: Check out their weekday specials, and they do have coupons for cool deals on their website! OverALL: A-OK. Decent times to be had. I got«wedged“in between a good meal and a good deal, so I will be back again. Its worth a try on 17th street.
