Liquor, beer, pool tables. Happiness This thing says I need more words to be a review. The eight ball has beer, liquor, pool tables, people with attitudes, and happiness. I yhink this is probably enough words but I’m writing this just in case. Did I mention it has liquor Also cash only

So happy to find this gem of a dive bar now that we live in the area. The Presidio Yacht Club and Silver Peso rank high on my dive bar list, and the 8 Ball is right there in the ranks. Interesting flow of regulars from early morning hunters, regulars, local retirees, and as it gets later, students/younger people. First time we met one of the owners — awesome man. Gave me a jello shot — long time since I had had one of those — and also a tshirt. Great bartenders, and yes, of course they take care of the regulars first! Sunday morning bloody mary becoming a tradition. Some day we will be the oldsters coming in for an afternoon nip!

Great selection of drinks. And they were good prices. Great place to hangout with friends. More than that, the owners are military friendly. They actually take time out of their busy schedule to volunteer for military functions. For that, I am grateful. Thank you.

It’s a good looking bar, especially the cool old neon sign. Unfortunately, the clientele seemed to be made up of meth-addled farm boys. Crappy hip hop playing too loud. There are three pool tables, which is cool. Service is terrible. The bartender was too busy yucking it up with his friends to even acknowledge me for several minutes after I sat at the bar. Bummer.

Not sure why someone needed to mention the bartenders kicking rear. Big turn off for ladies, and invites the wrong message(losses a star). I have stopped in mid day, evening and late night, through the years. I would rate afternoon, slow, mostly regulars it seems, some disfunction with the energy, some banter between the patrons and bartender alike, not calming. Evening is more relaxed, older regulars are filtering out unless there is a sporting event. Lots of t.v.s for those. Night time, is mostly full of young students, some older guys and gals, clear difference in treatment from regulars v.s. someone who isn’t one. Fair prices, decent service. The Vibe is regular… nothing too special v.s. other bars. No snacks or food of any kind. Stay away on pool nights, the woman have no respect for others. They take over tables with bringing in a truckload of food, the smell is overwhelming. Went in a few weeks ago, had not been in years. The biker element isn’t as bad as it was known for… I see why I do not make it a regular thing.

The perfect dive bar — dark and welcoming, old stuff on the walls, but run very well and clean as can be! Stopped in here for a drink, would totally be a regular stop of mine if it was closer

We have been going to the 8 Ball for years, but had occasion to go for a Celebration of Life for a dear friend. The 8 Ball were welcome hosts and this was the perfect place to celebrate a great guy, the place he hung out! The 8 Ball pours an honest drink, had a patio, pool tables and just a good place to enjoy a drink. many times we stop here at the beginning or end of an evening, a bit loud later, but always a nice way to start or end a ‘date’ night. I personally could have done without the truck driver language from the ‘locals’ but that’s me, it would not stop me from going there. Gentle reminder it’s not 1990 any more, it’s about the people not the truck driver mouth…

This is my HOMEBASE… even though I don’t live in the Cotati area anymore. For fans of the Silver Peso in Larkspur, this place is pretty damn similar. I have been coming here for almost a decade now, and can tell you that a good time is waiting for you at the 8 Ball. Owners Rick and Jon are always around and very cool to chat with. Bartender Brett is THEMAN.(And Cassie and Sean are super cool as well.) Enjoy your next drink here… you won’t be disappointed.

Hands down THE best bar in Cotati. They have great bartenders(Shawn is the best) and always a fun crowd!!! They put on the wildest golf tourney every year as well as a few corn hole tourneys!!! The drinks are strong. There’s three pool tables. Karaōke on Tuesdays. and on the weekends, you can find the the Cotati Hotties and all the local celebrities there! Make sure to bring cash and have IDs in hand before you get to the door.

It would be nice to refer to the Eight Ball as a hole in the wall, but it’s shape and stature are so pronounced it simply cannot be mistaken for anything else but a shack on the street. I must say every trip I take to Cotati merits a stop at my favorite dive bar. Whether I’m working on writing, meeting a friend for a game of pool or eager to down some perfectly proportioned margaritas it’s a guaranteed good time. You will find the locals and regulars flood the bar stools at any and every hour of the day. If you’re looking to experience the country bumpkin vibe hidden in northern California’s countryside this is the perfect place to sample. Complete with three pool tables, a juke box and an outdoor patio this is the premier spot to experience Cotati’s small town charm.

I’m not as young as I once was, but the Eight Ball still packs a punch. Yes, there is a loud college crowd. DUH, RP is home of SSU. The young energy contributes to the fun and it is entertaining to watch the cougars sneak up on their prey. In addition to the occasional pride of cougars, there seems to be a small OLDER swingers crowd. After being approached two times on two separate occasions, I shrieked like a monkey and scampered off to find the barrel of monkeys I came with. If you’re looking for stiff drinks, cougar sightings, or a possible Ménage à trois with some hippies, then roll on down to the Eight Ball!

Best Bar in Cotati. Great staff and the customers are cool too. People say they hate the college crowd but i couldn’t give a shit. As it has no affect on the service, about the only thing that sucks is when some Douchebag puts shit music on the box. But that happens anywhere. Awesome prices and just as good in the day as the night. I would go more but living in Santa Rosa now its just a little out of the way for those 2 quick beers.

Friendly bar tenders. Cheap drinks. Nice patio area with heating and a big screen TV. Well-maintained pool tables. Fun Karaōke night. Easy to talk to almost anyone in the bar. Bouncers are a little gruff sometimes. Definitely a fun place to get a drink and relax.

This is the one place that I choose to drink during the day instead of at night because the service is completely different. Morning/Day: Fantastic adorable staff and all regulars. Very accepting and welcoming feel. LOVE their bloody marys! Secret ingredient celery salt on the rim and it really makes the difference. Night: The one thing that puts me off right away is someone yelling ID’s right when you walk in. I know I look young and I always have it in my hand when I walk in anyways, but having someone consistently yell ID is just not welcoming. I live in a college town therefore I carry my ID on me always. It really just puts me off because even after seeing that I am over 21 they attitude doesn’t change the rest of the night. NIce outdoor area where you can smoke. Bud light pitchers for $ 7. Good prices, but bring cash! No cards taken.

My ex-roommate is the bartender. He will kick your ass and serve you a stiff drink. Do not have sex with him, I repeat, do not have sex with him. If I haven’t sold you on the awesomeness that is the 8 Ball, consider this… it opens at 6 A.M.
