One of the most authentic Mexican joints in the area. Expect a large portion of whatever you decide to order. The only shame is that it’s take-out only. I usually go with the steak burrito and a side of french fries. They have the classic horchata machine on the counter for those who partake. You know you’re at a quality burrito place when they include peppers and salsa at no additional charge. This stretch of LaGrange Road is a .5 mile strip of a dozen different fast food joints, and Taco Taco is a must-hit.

Great place to grab some good Mexican fast food. The two guys that work there a really pleasant. My food is always fresh and hot. The place is small so there’s no where to dine-in which to me is the biggest draw back. Ohh and they no longer sell fountain drinks(new development). But they do have good rice water and they always have an assortment of other popular drinks on hand so the lack of fountain drinks doesn’t bother me. They’ve gone up in price, which stinks, so a meal for 1 is easily $ 9.00 without a drink.(boooo)

Just pain good. Streak burritos extra good. Authentic Spanish rice, refried beans, home made salsa, carrot/jalapeño garnish & more. Carry out only but the 2 guys are always eager to please with special attention to what you ask for. Fast, hot and delicious. No risk to try them — you’ll be a regular.

I was skeptical about getting carry outs from a place named«Taco Taco!». It sounded too American. How could it be any good? Taco Taco proved me so very wrong. I ordered two tacos. One beef and one chicken. I went with soft shell because I just can’t get behind crunchy shells. They came with two nice corn shells. They were topped with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. The meat was plentiful and flavorful. The two tacos alone filled me to the brim! The boyfriend ordered a burrito. I picked up the bag and I’m pretty certain it weighed nearly three pounds. Here was the amazing part. Unlike any of the burritos from places we normally pick up from, it did not fall apart. He was able to eat it without the tortilla falling apart, without crumbs of meat falling out, without making any mess. It was a miracle! It comes with a nice, very hot sauce, as well as some hot peppers to put on your food. We will most definitely be coming back! There may be places much closer but Taco Taco has stolen our hearts.

The Adventures of Taco Taco On a brisk, tiring Sunday, the last thing that I wanted was to be stuck in traffic either to or from my dinner. Sadly, I found myself in that said predicament both to and from my dinner, but what came in between those struggles is what changed my mental state; the authentic and rich Mexican food of Taco Taco. My friend Dylan and I hurried from the car to the Taco Taco doors, and from that point on I could tell that this place was not a mistake. Upon entry into the large-sized bedroom converted into a taco shop, one feels a sense of trust in the people and the food they are making. This does not come from how clean the tables are or how pleasant the people look, but from the intricate simplicity of the establishment. Although the simplicity of the artwork was subconsciously convincing me to devour whatever food I got, the conscious part of my brain was convinced once I caught a whiff of whatever that chef was cooking. It seemed to me like their freshly mixed salsa, but the strength of their queso soon took over. Despite the convincing whiffs, I was ultimately pulled in by the kindness of the entire visible crew, and the consistent ramble of incoherent Spanish I was attempting to make sense of. Some might have felt awkward and uncomfortable in that situation, but I however felt comfortable. With that comfort came slight claustrophobia when I realized there really was no place for us to eat inside. Comfort was restored by the kind cashier and workers, and after a decent wait we got our food and headed out to the car. With the car being a much more personal place to eat in comparison to any restaurant, I really was able to enjoy this meal. Most will be tempted to eat while driving or take the food home due to the lack of inside seating, but I highly recommend readers to at least someday enjoy the meal in the car. Furthermore, the meal I ordered was the Chicken Tortas with rice, beans, sour cream, salsa, lettuce, and of course chicken. Being an avid lover of authentic Mexican food, I searched for a slightly more exotic Mexican dish aside from the burrito. An excellent torta from Taco Grill helped me decide what my new favorite dish would be. As I was hoping for this torta to knock Taco Grill’s off the podium, I set up on my dashboard two dipping sauces, one of salsa and one of queso. Typically the first and last bite of a torta is similar to that of the ends of a loaf of bread; no one prefers it. This torta, due to my wise decision to dip it in both the salsa and queso, left me satisfied from end to end. Mixing in a couple chips and salsa and sips of Dr. Pepper completed this meal into an overall pleasant experience. In what seemed like one minute, both halves of the torta had finally been eaten and all I had left were a few broken chips and sips of now-watered-down Dr Pepper. Although the meal was a quick one, it left me satisfied for the entire night, and the experience was even enjoyable despite the lack of indoor seating.

As stated on prior reviews there are no fills @ Taco Taco. Im not looking for frills, im looking for a great steak burrito. This is what Taco Taco does have ! The steak has a great taste and seasoning to it. The portions are large as well. The staff is very friendly and the food is prepared quickly. If your looking for take out mexican, look no further!

My review isn’t as glowing as others. I’ve tried Taco Taco 3 times over the past couple years, my last visit end of July 2105. Ordered their crispy tacos for my wife, was basically dried out soft corn tortillas, expected true crispy shells. Bought a steak burrito, lots of gristle in the meat. The carrots & jalepenos were a nice add on, but no where near as flavorful as what you get from El Faro. Their service is decent, but the food is lacking. Probably my last visit here, unfortunately.

Good Mexican,-American food. Large portions. I ordered some Mexican fare here for carry out. Since I didn’t do the actual pickup, I can’t speak about anything but the food. My order consisted of 3 items. * Steak taco. When there is not a cilantro and onion option for steak tacos(carne asada), you know the place has been tailored to the American appetite. I will say that it was stuffed full with a base of refried beans, then cheese, then a lot of steak bits and more cheese on the top. * Tostada with all pastor pork. I probably enjoyed this the most out of my order. Lots of tasty pork with nice accompanying ingredients, including a nice layer of refried beans. I recommend the tostadas without reservations. *Nachos with cheese. Here was another clue that there is a strong American influence. The chips were good, but the cheese is definitely food service(like gehls). This is the stuff they put in the heated pump st the ball park. Don’t get me wrong – i like them for what they are. Taco Taco is a good choice so long as you know what to expect. My inclination would be 3.5, but the tostada was pretty great, so I rounded up.

I love this place. I don’t live far or work far. So the girls at work asked where is the best place for tacos. I suggested this place. They were more than happy when they ate there food. I called in my order which was for 3 separate people. They had it ready when I got to the location to pickup(less than 10 minutes). The place was clean and the people were very friendly. Can’t eat there but worth it to take it with you.

Good quick cheap eats. The tamale and rice were a little bland. The enchilada was tasty but I was a little disappointed to see the that they use«radar love» to melt the cheese but it is a tiny less expensive place so you get what you pay for. Overall not bad for the price.

This place is awesome! I come here maybe twice a week for take out dinner. The guys that work here are really nice and friendly, always smiling. Portions are generous, their veggie tacos are absolutely delicious. I really need to try more things on the menu, it’s expansive. It seems like they keep odd hours, sometimes it’s difficult to find it open at night. It’s well worth it to drive over just to check! They take debit and cash, takeout only. These guys have my business forever. It’s hard to find cheap food as a vegetarian, and they have won me over. A++

Solid, authentic take out mexican food. Burritos are a notch below El Faro, but still very good. Ask them to put hot sauce inside them– the default method is no salsa inside. Have some interesting Burrito fillings too — Milanesa, Chile Relleno… etc.
