Used to eat at Bud’s back in the day. Went to this new location today. Terrible is all I can say. Food was not hot and hamburger patty was frozen type and didn’t taste anything like flame broiled. Iced tea was darker than anything I have ever seen and tasted old and bitter. Wife had been wanting to go but couldn’t even finish her burger. Too bad…

I started loving Bud’s Broiler in the 1970’s when the late Mr Bud and Mr Joe started flipping hamburgers at the Gentilly location. I eat at Bud’s on average once a month I’m all about the #4 burger & #7 hot dog. I am excited to have Bud’s on the Northshore since I now reside in Mandeville. I heard there were some early service issues and long waits when it 1st opened. …so I waited while management worked out the bugs with the high demand. I am overall very pleased with this location’s performance. Like any restaurant there will be some bumps. I rate Covington as a 2 way tie in terms of overall rating. I currently rate locations as follows(based on experiences in the last year): 1.) causeway & vets.(At lunch when Mr Joe is there). 5 stars. …More spotty at night 3 stars 2.). Tie. Covington & Clearview Pkwy 4 stars 4.). Vets in Kenner /Jeff Hwy(harahan) 3 stars 6.). City Park Avenue … 1 star. Ashamed. Classic NO ambiance but service & food issues. I’ve given it many chances …but no more at that location for at least 6 months(till some mgt changes hopefully can take place) Long live Bud’s! My biggest complaint w Bud’s is sometimes the burgers are cooked in advance & sit on the back of the grill(& can dry out) with no juice. Literally like a cold piece of leather

It pisses me off to no end that places like this can’t get an order right even after confirming it. Check your takeout orders so these people don’t fuck your order up. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to just fulfill the order as written on the slip in front of you, double check it and then you don’t have people like me who love Bud’s but are now pissed because what I ordered wasn’t put in the bag. I’m NOT driving back to get it. FUCK, I’m hungry.

I have been there twice the wait was longer then I expected for the amount of customers in the restaurant the seating area and floor was not very well maintained. The burgers seem a little thinner then what I get from the New Orleans BB and the fries were soggy and tasted like they were not cooked long enough.

I finally stopped in here for lunch the other day. So glad they opened a Bud’s Broiler on the Northshore. I went around 2pm and there were still plenty people there for lunch, but it wasn’t that crowded. Maybe it’s a good idea to avoid the peak lunch hour, but I suppose you can say that about most places. I imagine if this place is too crowded, it would feel a little claustrophobic. Anyway, I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. It was delicious! I left feeling full, but not stuffed and full of grease. I will definitely be back. I wish this place was open late! I would go here after a late night of drinking instead of Taco Bell or Butter Krisp.

We just had a wonderful meal at Buds. I had the grilled onions for the first time on my burger and it changes the flavor profile from good to great. If you are looking for a nice charbroiled burger this is the place

The number 4 with red sauce is hella delicious, no doubt. Unfortunately, this particular location is poorly run. The air conditioner was not working well, service was extraordinarily slow(and they weren’t very busy), and I had to fight several aggressive houseflies for my bench. Artwork on wall is nice but if it weren’t for the food, I’d give this place 1 star. If you come here, bring patience.

Love Bud’s Broiler. So glad they finally opened on the Northshore. Although my waist is not thankful!

The wait was horrendous and the staff seemed overwhelmed. Food is what you expect but it isn’t worth the wait in a small, cramped and poorly air conditioned place. Not up to BB standards, which is saying something.

Long wait is over Covington finally has it’s Bud’s Broiler a again! It’s very crowded same menu… Staff is very helpful and wonderful. If you miss New Orleans and want to burger you should come here. A new item on the menu is shrimp! For those of us who don’t eat meat but I have a craving for the BB!

Food’s great like all Bud’s. Service is another story. Too busy talking to each other than worrying about helping customers and speaking to them politely.
