I’ve been trying to hit this place up for awhile now, as I’ve heard amazing things from so many people. They say reservations are a must but that’s to be seated at a table inside. We decided to take a chance and walk in and we got seated outside within 20 min of waiting so it worked out great. From what I saw of the inside, the atmosphere was very cute and pieced together. Nothing matched but it went together so well! For food/drinks Cranberry Lemoncello mimosa(as recommend by our awesome server) was so good! I am not a fan of a sweet mimosa so this one is more on the tart side plus is has liquor in it too. Bloody Mary with cucumber infused vodka which was amazing! You can’t go wrong with cucumber in a bloody. Crab hash– still not sure how I felt about this. Love the idea of the crab/potato/Cajun hash but this dish tasted so fishy that I couldn’t enjoy anything about it. Mind you– I love seafood with good fish flavor but this was like bottom of the sea taste. Not good. Eggs were cooked perfectly though! B&G– Not disappointed but not the best I’ve had. It had a red tint to it and we didn’t know what that was but, again, the eggs were cooked perfectly and were a nice touch. This came with a side of bacon and omg… Just make sure you get some. I definitely would go back for the drinks, bacon and to try other dishes!

Best food I have had in Cincinnati yet!!! It’s so good! I actually ate everything on my plate– had the scallops, they were wonderful. Love the wine selection. An expensive menu but well worth it. Older crowd. Will definitely go here on date night.

Who would’ve known that Covington, Kentucky has one of the best brunch places I’ve EVER been to! I was walking pass this place, saw how poppin’ it was so I decided to take a look at their menu(thanks Unilocal!). Best. Decision. Ever. They’re menu consisted of classic brunch items such as Eggs Benedict, Biscuits and Gravy, etc. I’ve tried a good amount of Eggs Benedict in my short lifetime but I can definitely say this was the best I’ve ever had! Let me just say that this isn’t your typical Benedict. What I’m used to seeing is a biscuit, with some kind of meat, greens, egg, sauce. Over at Otto’s however, replaces traditional biscuit with grits! Genius!!! The grits soaked up the hollandaise sauce like a sponge! SOFLIPPINGOOD! Spinach is usually the typical choice of greens but not here! They used cooked to perfection, collard greens(kale).oh my… it complemented everything so well. You get to choose a side with each main dish. Green salad, tomato dill soup, seasonal fruits, and bacon. I opted for their tomato dill soup which was delicious. Service was excellent, very friendly staff. The best part? THEYTAKERESERVATIONSFORBRUNCH! SAYWHAAAAT?! Otto’s, I’ll see you next week!

Food was tasty, but I thought the brunch menu was rather limited and the portions small for the price. I guess I was expecting more diner like fare, but the brunch menu seemed to cater more to the presentation-is-everything foo-foo crowd. Definitely a cut above your typical IHOP or Denny’s fare, and if that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll be pleased. But if you just want a basic IHOP-like breakfast, this place may be a bit too upmarket for that.

Loved this place. Fresh, warm and inviting place for brunch. Boy was Brunch was fantastic. I love when food makes me happy and it did not disappoint. I had the Lemon Buttermilk Pancakes and my son had the Benedict Otto’s. Both were amazing. Everyone was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Will definitely return on my next trip through KY.

Very cute for an Easter brunch. The interior is kind of crazy, Antique store meets Grandma’s garage sale :) Yet, all this clutter has its charm and the service is excellent. The brunch options are plentiful, most of them on a heavy side. I liked the options for side dish: salad, potato pancake, soup or bacon :))) My breakfast casserole with side salad was delicious and I cannot complain. They have freshly squeezed OJ! Very happy to have spent my Easter brunch there, can definitely imagine coming back.

If you’re like me, there had better be a really compelling reason for me to wake up on a weekend morning and drive across the river into Kentucky… well I finally found your reason: Otto’s Brunch! Otto’s is going straight to the top of my favorite brunch spots in the Cincy area! We happened to be in Covington around 10am on Saturday; luckily we got there right when they opened or else we would have been eating at the bar. Highly recommend you make reservations! This restaurant may be the cutest restaurant I’ve ever seen! I love the old building, the mismatched colorful chairs, and the huge artwork on the walls. Each table has a unique S+P shaker set, which I think adds so much character. This place is just absolutely charming, and it’s definitely somewhere I could take my 27 year old friends or my grandma… Anyone would feel at home here! For breakfast, I got the crab hash($ 14), which was extra delicious! The crab had almost a cajun flavor to it, and it was very well-seasoned and flavorful. The poached egg was cooked perfectly and was extra runny, just like I like it. I thought I had ordered something amazing until I tried my husband’s dish… And then I wanted to trade! He got the Otto’s Benedict($ 14), and it is quite possibly the best eggs benny I’ve ever had. This is kind of an nontraditional take on the eggs benedict… Instead of an english muffin there’s a grit cake, which made it really over the top! It was sooooo yummy. I also messed up because I should have ordered the side of BACON. OMG best bacon ever! It was extra thick cut, super crispy, and tasted kind of sweet like syrup. It was absolutely addictive! Needless to say I stole a few bites from my husband’s plate. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. I am still thinking about that benedict, and I can’t wait to come back!

This little strip of Covington was super cute! Despite clearly being popular, we got right in for Saturday brunch around 10. The wait staff was really nice and I loved that they had blankets on hand for if it got chilly — brilliant! Pros: the food — yum! I got the fancy BLT without the egg and it was so yummy I wanted to stuff my face past being full, the décor and setup were really fun and inviting — beautiful custom wood bar, service was great. Cons: wasn’t loving the cucumber infused Bloody Mary — bummed to have spent $ 8 a piece on it, a little pricy in general, I was grateful I’m relatively petite in that bathroom… dang. I can’t wait to come back and check out more of the rheingasse strip!

Otto’s is my favorite place for Brunch! The vibe in the restaurant is clean and bright, with interesting art and charming details– like blankets for chilly winter afternoons and a variety of fun salt and pepper shakers. I’ve been there a few times and have tried the lox, benedict, and crab hash. I think the crab hash was my favorite because it has a lot of flavor and spice, but it was too spicy for a friend. The last time I was there, I finally ordered a side of the Fried Green Tomatoes and they really were soooooo good! That will definitely be a regular part of my order from now on. I don’t think you can really go wrong with anything on their menu. This place is usually fairly crowded during peak brunch time in my experience, but I’ve been able to easily get last minute reservations for small groups and walk in and been seated immediately when it was a party of 2. I saw that there was a bridal shower in some back room once, and although I did not see the room, it seems like a really nice place to have a party like that. I will never turn down a suggestion to go to Otto’s for brunch, and I’m looking forward to trying it out for dinner.

What a perfect little spot! I came in for my first time today. I cant believe I haven’t stopped in before becuase, goodness, I was missing out. I was greeted by a very nice gentleman in glasses and all black and I decided to take a seat at the bar. I ordered the pomegranate mimosa that was to die for. Then decided to order the fried green tomatoes and let me just tell you, if you haven’t ordered these before, you don’t know what heaven in your mouth tastes like until you have. I also got a cup of the tomato dill soup that was super good too. The ranting and raving is well deserved. An extremely sweet girl named Rachel took care of me the entire time. I’m super impressed with the restaurant entirely. Great food. Great service. Great prices. If you haven’t come to Otto’s yet, you’re missing out.

Otto’s made my tummy happy! Cozy atmosphere, great mimosa selection, amazing food and friendly service– 5STARS! Located in Covington–(just outside of Cincinnati) this local spot does brunch right. We were thrilled to call on Sunday morning and get reservations for 1:00. The place was packed and it smelled delicious. The menu offers a more extensive mimosa’s selection than most restaurants. We tried 3– the Black Raspberry, Citrus Vanilla Spice, and the Cranberry Lemoncello. All were great with the Citrus Vanilla Spice being our favorite.($ 8 each) For entrees we ordered crab hash, benedict Otto’s and a side of the lemon buttermilk pancakes. Wow-that crab hash was amazing and the pancakes some of the best I have ever had. If you are in the area, Otto’s is a must!

Overall pretty good food but it isn’t the best experience. Since we didn’t have a reservation the only spot available was at the bar which would have been totally fine if our chairs weren’t bumped into every single time a person, waiter or bartender walked behind without ever an apology, comment, or offer to move us. Also the staff didn’t seem to be having much fun — when you’re at the bar you see all this– seemed like very un cheerful or welcoming. Mostly a cliché, hipster space to eat pretty ordinary brunch food. We ordered the fried green tomato blt on a croissant and the sausage and grits. Would have earned 3 stars because the bacon and goetta sides were on point but the grits could be creamier and spicier. The sandwich could use some salt.

I’m not a Covington expert but Otto’s must be at least Top 10 for this area. Four of us had a late brunch on 4th of July and it was about 10% filled with customers. The service was excellent and attentive. We had a lot of questions about several plates and our server answered everything in a polite manner. She was also very attentive. The food was excellent. My Biscuits & Gravy were great but my friends’ plates were each amazing and very satisfying. Anything with bacon was a highlight. I recommend the Fried Green Tomatos. It’s clear Otto’s puts a lot of thought into the ingredients, interior decorations, and training their servers because it clearly shines through. I’m looking forward to returning during a busy dinner night so see if the experience is consistent or very different.

Overall, this was a great dining experience. Seems we had a couple of one-off misses, but the crew recovered gracefully. Without the mishaps, this place would have easily earned 4 or 5 stars. The ambiance is cozy and quirky, with ambient lighting and fun decorations like the salt and pepper shakers other reviewers have mentioned and funky rooster sculptures. The menu is a page and a half of choices that are hard to narrow down– everything looks tempting. We ended up getting the chicken, short rib, and fall salad. The meats were tender and flavorful, and the salad was refreshing and well balanced. The misses were that our server forgot to bring us our drink order until well after our food arrived, and the short rib was served with specks of foil in it. They apologized sincerely for both and comped our drinks and half the short rib entrée, which they fully replaced. I look forward to coming back here on another trip to Cincinnati to try other items on the menu.

Fact: I love Otto’s. I’ve been here for dinner, and now I can say I’ve been to their brunch, and they are both on point. We lucked out and snagged a bar seat on Sunday around noon, which is mostly unheard of. Please take everyone’s advice and make reservations at least several days beforehand to enjoy this place. The ambiance and location are pleasant and eclectic giving a whole new level of awesomeness to their dining experience. On to the service and the food: great, wonderful, and great. I can’t really say enough about how much I love this place. Their hostess was accommodating and let us know that, while they were completely booked up, some bar seats would become available. We ended up sitting at the bar and got the same great service as those at tables were receiving. I ordered a cup of coffee, and it was wonderful(I am serious about my coffee too). I really was pleased to see they brought me my own little cup of fresh half and half as well, which made for a very nice touch. I ordered the Benedict with a side of the dill tomato soup and loved every minute of it. The Benedict’s smoked salmon was so smokey and delicious that it reminded me almost of bacon. It sat on a very delicious grit pancake, which added a much appreciated texture to the dish. The dill hollandaise sauce was delicate and creamy, and exceptional on top of the perfectly poached egg(say that three times fast…). Onto the dill tomato soup: delicious! I love a good tomato soup, and preferably one that you can really taste the tomatoes(and not so much the cream) in. This one was fresh and the dill added a great brightness that made it a little bit different from any other ordinary tomato soup. My boyfriend got their breakfast casserole, which housed their homemade sausage. This is more decadent than some boring omelette since all of the flavors of the vegetables, potatoes, and sausage have properly been married together. He was really impressed with his house salad as well, which included tomatoes, feta, olives, and some creamy balsamic dressing. I will be back again for dinner and/or brunch and/or whenever I can remember to make a reservation in time! Keep it up Otto’s.

Delicious fried green tomatoes!!! They come out really hot and tasty. You should order these if you come. We were here for Sunday brunch and learned that they don’t serve alcohol until after 11am. The Benedict Otto’s was tasty but a little too heavy since the poached egg and smoked salmon were served over a grit cake instead of biscuits. The fresh greens salad was refreshing though. The restaurant is very cute, I love their variety of salt and pepper shakers at each table.

Otto’s is one of my favorites places for brunch on the weekends. Their prices are reasonable for the quality of food you get and the portions are just right. This last weekend I had the steak tips and fried grit cake. It was really good. The grit cake was a little bland to be honest, but the salsa and steak tips added flavor. I also had the tomato dill soup as my side. I have had this before and it was really good, but Sunday it was a little on the sweet side. I feel like someone in the kitchen was heavy handed with the sugar on that batch. I also had a lemoncello crandberry mimosa that was YUM! Light, refreshing, and perfect for brunch!

My mom raves about this gem on Main Street in Covington, KY. Ample parking and good indoor/outdoor seating. I got the French Baguette, with pork terrine, Brie, arugula, radishes and mustard. It was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. My mom got the Curry Chicken Salad Wrap with sweet potato fries. The fries were to die for and came well seasoned and with a sauce that was heavenly(we’re assuming a homemade honey mustard). The atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in Europe. Great service, awesome menu. Can’t wait to go back!

Otto’s was perfect! I called around 11:30 on a Sunday morning to inquire about reservations after reading other Unilocal reviews. The hostess squeezed us in with a 1pm reservation. We arrived and the place was pretty full but our seat was ready. Our party ordered mimosas and bloody Mary’s to start. The bloody Mary’s were good with jalapeño infused vodka. The mimosas were perfect with a glass full of champagne with just a splash of juice. They also offer other juices mixed with champaign. We were all satisfied with our meals. I had the buttermilk lemon pancakes with a side of goetta. They were perfectly lemony and Fluffy with strawberries on top. I also had a bite of the BLFGT, I would get that next time! Yum! Great service, food and experience
