Just had the most amazing experience with Paula! She did the most perfect cut just the way I wanted it and was so sweet! Has the feel of an upscale NYC salon with affordable prices.

I’ve been to Voa twice, both times having my hair done by Amie. Absolutely loved her! The rest of the staff is very friendly and professional. Scheduling appointments was very easy, even with my second appointment for a blowout being last minute and scheduled an hour before the open slot. I look forward to going back!

Hire Ana months in advance and she’ll just put another stylist in place of her to do your hair the day of your wedding because she «forgot» she booked a trip for her and her fiancé to go away for his birthday. She may have a talent for what she does and may be sought after, but when it comes to business, not so much. This woman (Ana) was contracted to do a brides hair on her wedding day and bailed 8 days before because she made other plans. Totally unacceptable. How does one commit to a day where the client is spending tens of thousands of dollars for the wedding and decide to not stick to the contract? No regard for the client obviously as it was just brushed off as if it was no big deal. Her girls are supposedly trained as if they could replace her. That’s funny to say. Then what is the need for Ana? If her staff is good enough to replace her, then why would anyone want to wait for Ana? This was handled very unprofessional. Also interesting on how this notice wasn’t given to the bride until there wasn’t any time left to find another stylist. Completely selfish & unprofessional Ana!

Finally Found a stylist who actually listens to what I want. Other places that I’ve tried I always walked out disappointed. I went to Voa with the mind frame thinking once again I’ll be disappointed, but I was dead wrong! Glad I found Amanda, a stylist that listens! The only thing I would recommend is offering coffee or something while you wait. I didn’t see anything so I’m not sure.

Great salon. Always on top of the latest trends. Very friendly and personable. Most of all, they always make me look beautiful. I shouldn’t highly recommend this salon because then it makes it harder for me to get an appointment with my girl, but I have to give props where props are due! Keep up the great work Voa!

Voa Salon is the worst of the worst hair salons. I went twice for an estimate for a hair color and a cut they told me $ 190 went I paid they overcharge and stole my money for $ 300.00. I wanted a golden blond instead they kept my natural hair color dark brown with highlights it didn’t come even close to what I wanted. Their level system of commitment is all crap. The owner Ana is very unprofessional she does not know how to treat customers, she is very knowledgeable on how to snatch and steal the customers money that is indeed for sure. They lie on how much they will charge you at the very end when you pay they will overcharge you with out your consent
It is not a high end level system please do yourself s favor don’t waste your money and valuable precious time don’t go there, go to another salon. It is a very low end business as it is Voa Salon.

I have been a loyal customer for years. My entire family continued to get there hair done at Voa following them from suite. I made an appointment for my daughter to get her hair blown out with curls on the bottom for the prom. Imagine my suprise when I went to pay and was told $ 110.00. I was told that the reason was because they had to wash her hair and the style was for an event. $ 110.00 is not only unreasonable for a blow out but down right obnoxious. I felt they were taking advantage of the fact that the style was for a prom. Furthermore by the time we got to the make up artist her hairdo had fallen flat as well as frizzed out on the top. My daughter had tears in hers eyes while the girl was trying to do her makeup. I waited a couple of days and went to try and talk to Anna. She was busy so I left my number to call me. She couldn’t be bothered to reach out to me. I would think VERY carefully before entrusting my hair to people who only care about what is in your wallet. I will never go back here and my entire family feels the seem. Anna has no idea how to treat customers.

Loved my haircut from Aimee!!! Great service and very clean upscale salon for an awesome price! Sure beats my $ 150 haircuts from NYC
Aimee was very personable and friendly. She listened to what I wanted and made sure I knew what she planned to do before chopping my hair. I had to make a 7:30 appt since I can never tell when I will make it home from work, Aimee stayed late and didn’t rush my cut or my time there. I will definitely be going back, especially since it’s so close to home!

As far as salons go, I think I have tried them all. Being that I have very curly hair, it’s very hard to find a place that knows how to handle my hair with all the care it needs. I’ve had some pretty bad experiences as far as color goes, but i got recommended by a friend to try this place out. I got taken care by amie, whom was very friendly. She colored my hair without damaging it, and it is exactly how I wanted it. The wash I got from one of the girls in the back was amazing, I literally almost fell asleep. The place itself is very cute, and the costumer service is exactly how it should be. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a place they can continuously go to and have a great outcome every time.

Amie is a great Stylist. she plans ahead and takes her time to do my hair with lots of patience… I am very picky about my hair! … I recommend this place to everybody who is looking to get Beautified. :)

I’ve always been very hesitant about trying new salons for fear of walking out completely disappointed or hating the way I look. Having recently just moved to the area & being 39 weeks pregnant, traveling to my usual salon was just not an option anymore.
I was already overdue for a cut, and knowing I would very soon have no time to get my hair done I was desperate for a solution. After reading other reviewers compliments here & exploring Voa’s website I decided to give it a shot.
Not knowing how booked up they were, I was happily surprised to be able to get a same day appointment for a cut & blow-​dry. The staff was so friendly over the phone & I was greeted warmly by Tina (who was my stylist) when I walked in.
She took great care of me, and listened exactly to what I was looking for (something shorter, lightweight, easy to maintain while keeping my layers).
She even made a suggestion for a Wella product (I love their stuff) to help protect my hair from my flat/​curling irons which I use frequently (& it smelled amazing).
My hair came out even better than what I had in mind. It was so light, shiny, and it made this tired mama-​to-​be feel very beautiful & pampered. I will definitely be back once I figure out how to balance life with a new baby!

As a surprise gift I made an appt for my girlfriend. They were very pleasant on the phone and helped me schedule it… my girl said they were very organized and on time. Very professional and the hair cut she asked for is exactly what she wanted. She looks hot so I give it 5 stars.

Easy trip using the path & NJTransit Voa is steps from the Cranford train station I walked into an oasis of a salon. Lively, warm, and accommodating staff my appointment exceeded all expectations. Ana executed exactly what I wanted without a picture! Kept the length yet brought life back to my hair with the best cut I’ve had in years. Hair is still manageable, color is brilliant and super shiny weeks later. Looking forward to my next appointment already at my new salon. Come here!

Love this Salon, and especially love coming to Tina! I tried a few places but no could ever help me get the look I was trying to achieve. I was being extra picky because my wedding was a few months away and I needed to transition from a dark brown to blonde. She obviously knew what she was doing! And over the next few months she turned me into the blonde bride I always envisioned :)
Other than Tina being a great stylist, the rest of the staff is always warm and friendly. Especially the owner, Ana.

I’ve been looking for a new salon for a while now since I’ve moved. I don’t have the most complicated hairstyle, however I never felt truly satisfied in the three different salons in the area I tried. I went to Voa for the first time this week and had an appointment with Amie. My first thoughts of the salon were that is was clean, stylish and modern. The front desk staff was very nice, as was my stylist.
First of all Amie gave me an amazing shampoo and mini head massage. She cut my hair with precision and she took her time. The same with how she did my blowout. Perfect! My hair was shiny and bouncy and looked great! My only complaint was that my bangs weren’t cut how I had asked, and I would have preferred if they had been flat ironed since they looked a little too poufy. But other than that I left satisfied and will be going back.

I was referred to this salon by a friend. The environment is very relaxing and I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes after my appointment time — which is quite refreshing in comparison to other salons I’ve been to. Amie is an amazing hair dresser and the staff at VOA are always so sweet, professional and accommodating. They remind you of your appointment via text which is great and they have a great referral system in place!

Anna is amazing hair dresser. I constantly get compliments on my color. A friend of mine had a wedding trial with her and loved it. She booked her for her wedding. Great service and great salon as well.

Ana and Tina both do my hair and both stylists make sure I leave their chairs loving it. They work with me in order to assure that any color or cut I envision becomes a reality.

Tina cuts my hair and does a beautiful job. They always make sure to remind me of appointments which is really helpful.
