We’re been here a couple of times hoping our second experience would be better. No so much. The coffee here is very weak. If you like a good cup of coffee — don’t go here. I don’t know what they think a Swedish pancake is. Their version is far from it.

The menu is extensive, the food is average, but the service was horrendous. sLower than molasses! There was also a very weird smell, reminiscent of a bathroom. I first came here two years ago and everything was fine. Revisited last year and noticed it had gone downhill. This final visit was the worst.

I’ll be coming back! The service was fantastic, the restaurant was clean, and the food was great! At first, I thought the menu looked like a phone book, but then I asked for the Baltic menu– this is the only menu you need! Two thumbs up.

Our first visit. A ton of menu options. I had the the potato pancakes, which were very good. Hubby, one of the eggs benedict options, thumbs up. Both of us can’t wait to try the specialty apple pancake when we have a bit more time. We’ll be back!

My first experience here, together with my elderly aunt, was absolutely favorable and encourages us to come again. We were well-supplied with coffee and hot tea, and a little intimidated by the huge menu. Although the menu is logically set up, there are an awful lot of choices. We were having lunch on a week day, and we both ended up with crepes. Not too many places have such a large selection. I went with the French Opera Crepes, which were filled with bananas and hazelnut cream, topped with an awful lot of whipped cream with chocolate drizzled on top. Probably a thousand calories in every bite. I didn’t care. Each one of those thousand calories tasted delicious. The aunt went with the Caramel Apple Crepes. She chose these because the menu said they were drizzled with pecans. When the crepes arrived, she was thrilled to find there were a lot of whole pecans. She enjoyed her food as much as I liked mine. Service was very quick and efficient. This restaurant handles a big lunchtime business, so the serving staff has got to be on their toes just to keep up. The aunt and I ended up lingering there for over an hour and a half. Our beverages were refilled regularly, and we felt absolutely no pressure to leave and free up a nice booth in the corner. Our check was just under $ 20.00. We had more than enough food. This place was a real fine. Thanks, fellow Unilocalers, for your reviews and recommendations. I don’t think I’d’ve found this place without you!

Service is super slow. The hosted didn’t even talk to us other than table or booth. And watching her with other customers she was not friendly or responsive. She’s not a people person. Sat down in a booth that had just been cleaned and it smelled like mildew. The rag that was used cleaning the table was most likely dirty. We asked for it to be recleaned with fresh clean water. I ordered coffee which was terrible. My husband ordered OJ and realized it 2.50 for a glass which it nuts. We waited about 30mins before we got our food. Now I ordered the Cinnamon Apple Raisin waffle the perk is they used fresh apple the down fall is if you want a sugar high great but if you are a diabetic no it was so sugary I could not finish it water was not helping getting that sweetness out of my mouth. I told our waitress I couldn’t eat this and she did offer to get me something new but the time I would have to wait for something new is not worth it. My husband ordered the Ham and cheese omelet which is said was very good.

Great breakfast place. We always enjoy taking our family there. Service is good and the food is always good, my only complaint is the coffee. It’s VERY weak other than avoiding the coffee I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I have been here several times — It is a popular choice when dining with my in-laws. They quickly accommodate a larger group of people. The service has always been prompt. The menu has tons of variety and breakfast foods are served at any time. the price is reasonable as well.

I really liked this place for breakfast, everything was great but our waitress had a bit of an attitude. We’ll probably be back and I don’t want her section.

I wish I could leave zero stars. Don’t come here expecting even decent service. Food is decent, but not worth putting up with the absolutely miserable customer service.

This is the go-to Sunday brunch spot for my girlfriend & I. The food has never disappointed us in the slightest &99% of the staff is very friendly. We only have one complaint; Judy. We’ve given this waitress the benefit of the doubt several times, thinking maybe she had a bad day the last time, but she is consistently the reason our brunch would be ruined. She’ll take my order & try to walk away before my girlfriend orders, forgets items we’ve ordered, has snide remarks, and rolls her eyes or sighs like we’re an inconvenience if we ask for a bit of coffee. The last few visits have been wonderful because we specifically request not to be put in her section. I feel like a jerk doing that, but why ruin my Sunday by trying to tolerate a consistently negative person?

I’m a man who loves a good breakfast and today I had just that at Golden Apple! My waitress(Leslie) was VERY friendly and prompt. The Bourbon Street Omelette was very tasty and fresh as were the home fries! I will certainly come again!

This was my first time eating here I passed it alot taking my son to school. It’s closer to the house and I want to take my wife here. She’s not much of a cook or fix me breakfast a bug turn off. But I’m a big breakfast person especially on sat if I don’t have x a good meal. I’m grumpy all day I’ll check this place out again soon.

Ate here for the first time recently with a group of guys. It was Thursday night so the 4 of us got the all you can eat ribs. The ribs were good and the fries that came with were fresh and thick cut. For being what I consider a mom and pop style place the ribs are what you would expect, good but not great. They were certainly meaty, but had far too much sauce for my taste. Good ribs from a place that’s not known for bar-b-que. I’ll be back but I’ll try something else next time. Good place for families or groups too.

Huge menu selection, almost too many options. I went with the Wisconsin cheesy skillet. My girlfriend had a turkey double decker. Both were very good and prices were reasonable. I’d recommend this place.

I highly recommend this place. You cant go wrong with anything you order here at Eli’s Top notch breakfast, and the ribs are better then across the street.
